We stopped in for a night cap and a snack on a Friday evening! We sat at the bar and I liked how big and comfy the chairs are. We also had front row seats to watch March madness, and more importantly the beer filling mechanism that fills glasses from the bottom! Kinda fun to watch. The bar also has purse hooks, which I am always grateful for. The food came out pretty quickly and was super fresh and delicious. The bartender was sooo sweet, very attentive and quick, and made sure my soda was always topped off. I loved the vibe and the moody lighting! The menu is definitely River North prices -- nothing terribly surprising bht on par for the neighborhood. At the time of our visit, cocktails were $15+ and the fry basket was $10. Was craving a burger and a drink, and found no vacancy which did have vacancy on a Saturday night. We were greeted and sat at the bar immediately. I ordered the picture me drink, and a burger. Something has changed for the BETTER. NO MORE TV in my face on the outdoor patio. It is delightful, serene and conversational now. Thank you for realizing that your customers were annoyed not enamored by a wide screen TV in their face with rickety speakers blaring sometimes sports commentating or crowd cheers, or Food Network, all competing with our conversation and the ambiance of the sounds of the city. Awesome neighborhood spot! I live in the area and I love coming here. The food is always awesome and the service is stellar. The birria egg rolls are incredible and I love the fried chicken sandwich. The grouper sandwich was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The chicken strips were more like patties and so crispy! Definitely worth a side order of them! All the drinks were very nice including the sangria's. The sliders were the most tender steak I've ever had. The servers are always very personable and attentive. The happy hour is a killer deal definitely check it out if you get a chance and don't pass on those egg rolls! Great lively spot for a date night, meal with some friends, or a late night drink. Stopped in here on a Sunday after doing visiting a few places downtown. I will say we loved it. The burger was better than many of the so called greatest places and the grilled chicken was definitely a strong offering. They had tasty curly fries. The drink offerings were great. Prices on par with other bars downtown. They are a 'sports bar' so we caught the second half of the Bears game and it was a great place to see a game. Ain't too many cities can go toe to toe with the Chi with its amazing food scene and hospitality. After arriving in Chicago with tons of protests and busier than average streets, after checking into my hotel, I needed a quick spot for my mom and I to go in and gain some strength and energy after the tough travel and journey making it to the Chi with just a lot of political noise going on. With that said, we were welcomed at No Vacancy and our server was a sweetheart and did a great job filling up water and being attentive, patient, and provided excellent hospitality with that Midwestern friendliness. She and the kitchen staff were polite and attentive to what we needed. The seared brussels sprouts were so dang on great, we ordered a second round. The server had nice attention to detail and allowed my mom to try both buffalo and BBQ sauces to determine which one my mother preferred to go with her wrap which showed dedication and care which was nice. My grilled chicken power salad with veggies and egg was fabulous and healthy. I washed my food down with a beer and just felt energized not bloated or tired after receiving my protein and nutrients without too many carbs. The food was great, as the Chi never disappoints with its amazing culinary scene, atmosphere, and stellar customer service that is apart of numerous restaurant experiences in Chicago. Pleasantly surprised at how good the burger was as well as the curly fries. Curly fries came w the burger and there weren't much of the fries but they were light and crispy and not salty. All I can say is that they had a slider on the menu and it wasn't a very big menu honestly. I think it was a steak slider . Was strolling along Wells St. and came upon their inviting outside pop up patio adorned with colorful hanging flower baskets and the food served on other's tables looked pretty good so I asked to take a seat. The red signage "No Vacancy" kinda threw me off! I walked by during winter (sans patio) & assumed it was a motel or something. Haha! It's a neighborhood vibe and low key. Apparently No Vacancy is a fairly newish spot that serves American fare food late night. Probably a good tid bit to know considering it's just a block off from River North's ecclectic nightlife scene. Turns out I caught the tail end of happy hour which runs on Mon-Fri 4:30-6pm. Score!! They offer half off all appetizers, wine & drafts. The waitress named Londen was super friendly and she recommended burria burritos and chicken fingers. I got them both. I don't do fried bar foods normally but I gave into it. Everything was full portioned and flavorful. The standard menu definitely did have some healthier options, so keep that mind. I regret not checking out the inside ambiance but I could see a large bar with televisions from the patio. read more

Stopped by on a spring Saturday afternoon. Weather was gorgeous and they had just opened their patio so we sat outside. We were just there for a couple of drinks and an appetizer. First, service was outstanding. Our server was SO nice, and super knowledgeable, taking the time to tell us more about some of the drinks when we were undecided. The busser was also very good, coming to clean plates and glasses regularly. Our cocktails were not only delicious, but gorgeous too with beautiful garnishes. We ordered the birria egg rolls and, omg, SO good! There was a Masters party going on inside. They had requested the bar's usual evening DJ to DJ their party. Popped in here after getting of the Brown Line to grab some happy hour drinks before heading to a nearby museum with a friend visiting. Blake, the bartender, took care of us, and was extremely friendly and great. We ordered a total of 4 drinks (3 beers, and a wine) and let me tell you... their HAPPY HOUR is amazing. It's half off select cocktails (I think sangria), wine, and beer from 4:30 - 6:30. We walked out of there spending only $21 and of course tipped Blake nicely, but this is almost unheard of nowadays, especially in this area of the city. Got there probably after the lunch rush, so no trouble being seated quickly. The server was friendly and quick to answer any questions. Fun, typical bar atmosphere. I opted for the chicken sandwich with fries. Food came out quickly, and the sandwich was nothing to laugh at, it was piled high, and tasted great. Being alone can be odd at bars late at night, but the bartender and the other patrons were really cool. I had a nice buzz going and a Cubs game was on so everyone was watching the game and rooting for the home team. It was a moment I won't forget. I felt compelled to like sports or something like that. Love this place in River North! Happy Hour is a hit and this is where you want to be. The curly fries and chicken tender apps are hit and great to share when you are having a glass of wine or beer.
