I came here for a dinner that was sponsored by a conference and the food and service was great! We enjoyed different finger foods. For dinner, they had salmon, vodka pasta, assorted salads, broccolini, and bread and food was really delicious. I would love to try regular dinner here one day the next time I get the chance to visit Chicago!

Having been to Hampton Social in Nashville and absolutely loving it, I knew the Chicago location would be the perfect spot for dinner before heading to Navy Pier for fireworks. We were able to snag a same-day reservation, which was a great start to the evening. We were seated upstairs near the outdoor patio, and I immediately fell in love with the fresh, coastal décor. The open-air patio gives the restaurant such a laid-back, beachy vibe that's hard to find in the middle of downtown Chicago. We started with wine, and my daughter ordered the non-alcoholic sangria, which she absolutely loved. For appetizers, we shared the honey-glazed Brussels sprouts with whipped goat cheese and the truffle Parmesan fries. Both were awesome. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened sea bass with coconut rice, broccolini, and mango salsa. It was fresh, perfectly cooked, and tasted like summer on a plate. My husband loved the steak frites, my daughter couldn't get enough of the white truffle mac & cheese, and my son happily devoured the kids' mac & cheese. We also shared a Caesar salad, and everything we ordered was delicious. Our service was outstanding. Even though the restaurant was busy, our server was attentive, and both our drinks and food came out surprisingly fast. From the beautiful atmosphere to the excellent food and service, this was a fantastic dining experience. If you're looking for a great restaurant in Chicago's River North neighborhood, I highly recommend Hampton Social. It's the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal before an evening at Navy Pier or simply soak in the fun, coastal-inspired atmosphere.

Hampton Social hit my radar while I was searching for Chicago's best brunch & I'm SO glad it did! Centrally located within minutes of the Magnificent Mile. Beautiful decor & excellent service. A rather impressive cocktail menu--I opted for the Mango Aperol & LOVED it, yet saw several others that I could try. And the food--I loved my perfectly seasoned & crisp fish & chips; I also observed quickly cleaned plates among my dining party that once held chicken & waffles, mac & cheese, seared tuna, avocado toast & other forms of deliciousness. I try not to repeat restaurants during a trip; Hampton Social is testing my commitment to this rule. Cheers!

We came in for brunch but didn't realize that the full brunch menu is only for the weekend... 3 options only for weekdays. Our server was a delight. We made few tweaks to our orders and she happily did so. Avocado toast was ok, we found the toast too crunchy. The vines and atmosphere is trendy and nice... I recommend the spot for lunch.

Nice brunch spot. The dynamite shrimp was crispy asf and had such a good sauce. Truffle Lobster Melt was fiiiiiire the bread had the best crunch and the bisque on the side pulled it all together so perfectly I loved that dish sm.

Chicago restaurant week just so happen to fall during my birthday. so my best friends made reservation for us to dine at the Hampton Social. I was excited as I had never been plus it would allow me to try a few things from the menu. We arrived on time for our reservation and was greeted and sat right away. It wasn't packed as it was a Tuesday night but it was a nice crowd. There was a lot of place to take pictures for social media but it was very nice inside. My Server was amazing and was very attentive I ordered the Chicago Restaurant 3 course meal I ordered the dynamite shrimp With No creamy Chili Sauce with a side of their homemade ranch, Medium Well Filet Mignon with no mushrooms and it came with Mashed Potatoes and a sauce and apple crumble with no Gelato. The Shrimp was amazing and I enjoyed it even more with the ranch. My steak did come out rare but we were able to get me a new steak right away. The steak and the mashed potatoes were amazing and the sauce made it even better. The Apple Crumble was a great completion to the meal. Overall I enjoyed the meal and my birthday. I was able to see what the pricing would be if I didn't do the promo and it was expected for the area and the type of restaurant. I will definitely be back.

Brunch at The Hampton Social is truly a whole experience We started on a sweet note with the Nutella French toast--thick, golden, and perfectly fluffy, topped with melted chocolate, powdered sugar, and sliced almonds that added the perfect crunch. It was rich, indulgent, and honestly hard to stop eating. Then came the açaí bowl, and it was just as stunning as it was refreshing. Packed with fresh fruit, crunchy granola, coconut flakes, and finished with a generous chocolate drizzle, it was the perfect balance to everything else--light, vibrant, and so satisfying. For something savory, the steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, topped with a fresh, herby chimichurri that added so much flavor. Paired with fluffy eggs and crispy roasted potatoes, it was the kind of plate that hits every craving. And of course, a creamy latte on the side to tie it all together The ambiance is just as good as the food--warm lighting, beautiful decor, and that lively brunch energy that makes you want to stay all morning. Service was fast, friendly, and everything came out perfectly timed. This is one of those brunch spots where you truly get the full experience--sweet, savory, fresh, and a vibe you don't want to leave. 10/10 brunch moment

Went here for dinner to celebrate my birthday with one of my girlfriends as I hadn't been here in a long time and I also received a coupon in my email for a free bottle of rose with purchase of entree. I thought that was really nice! I believe the manager working that night was name Meddi, he was amazing! He helped us get our order in and even brought us 2 free shots of frose which was basically frozen rose slushee. My friend ordered the Manhattan style lobster roll that she said was excellent. I ordered the truffle lobster melt and bisque. It was very tasty but I did not taste any truffle flavor in it, it just tasted like a lobster grilled cheese to me but was still very good! She ordered the Carmel lava cake for dessert it was sweet and tasty. The atmosphere was nice we showed up after 6 and there was live music a gentleman playing guitar that was finishing up so if you went there earlier in the evening you would be serenaded. The server was friendly and attentive. My friend and I really enjoyed our dinner experience. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 since I couldn't taste any truffle on the lobster truffle melt but other than that everything was great!

Had a reservation which was surprising seeing that it was St Pattys Weekend. Came in mostly for a light lunch. I ordered a the Carolina Tangy BBQ wings. They were grilled perfectly and came with a side of white sauce I'm not sure what it was but complemented the dish well. Make sure to have a reservation seeing that this place fills up fast! I was only turned off when the check came. You could pay online via the QR code but they don't tell you that they add tip on top of the automatic gratuity as well as a service charge. I asked for the check instead. These things should be told to customers prior to paying.

Brunch at Hampton Social Streeterville was a mixed experience. Savannah provided outstanding service and the atmosphere was fun, though the music was a bit louder than necessary for the crowd that day. The food didn't quite justify the price. My sandwich had plenty of egg but very little pork belly, and the fruit salad was almost entirely melon. Brunch for two topped $100 with only one alcoholic drink, and the portions felt small for the cost. That said, I appreciate that management reached out after my visit and was genuinely interested in the feedback. Because of that, I'd be willing to give them another try the next time I'm in Chicago.

    Restaurant week lunch menu
    Jacqueline O.

I came in for a lil solo lunch during the work day during Chicago restaurant week! It was $30 for three courses, which was a pretty good deal when itemizing everything I got. The service was great, and I appreciated that they put the solo diners in one area that was a little quieter. Service was great and super attentive, anticipated all of my needs before I asked. My total dining time was about an hour, which wasn't bad for lunch service and three courses. Made it back to my desk right on time. The dynamite shrimp was pretty good, super crispy which was perfect but it could've been tossed a little more evenly in the sauce. Still good! Their chicken sandwich is one of my favorites, I love the slaw. I would've preferred fries to chips though. The caramel lava cake was perfect but my ice cream was melting and pooling by the time they got it out to me. Not a super big deal, still just as delicious. The only other con was that there were menus and misc table things (qr code stand, decor) that had been moved to the booth at some point and all of that was still scattered around the booth area. Again not a big deal but a small detail! Overall really enjoyed it and thought it was a good work lunch and great restaurant week deal value!

    Crystal C.

Came here for happy hour and thought they had great deals! There's a lot of seating, and the space feels open and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after work. Happy hour deals are solid: $9 cocktails and apps and $1.50 oysters. We ordered a down of oysters and the guac, and I got the spicy skinny margarita. The oysters were decent for the price with no weird taste. The guac was good too and came with plenty of chips. My spicy skinny margarita was really good and definitely did not taste watered down. The spiced rim was great. Service was also a highlight. Our waiter was attentive and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, everything tasted good and the vibe plus pricing make this a great happy hour spot. Would definitely come back!

It opened as a…read morepartnership between Miami Beach's iconic Joe's Stone Crab and Lettuce Entertain You, bringing South Florida to Grand and Rush. I first went when it was still a huge, buzzy Chicago spot, and one of my most memorable dinners came after my high school graduation in 2003. I even got a speeding ticket on Lake Shore Drive with my grandmother in the back seat on the way to dinner, which still makes me laugh. Chicago was an especially fun place for Joe's to arrive. Open outcry trading was still a force, and the wealth creation around it was wild: people who had dropped out of high school could become millionaires in their twenties, while math PhDs from the University of Chicago could make fortunes in the same ecosystem. It was a golden era for hustle culture, when commerce idolized Tony Montana in a way that today is more likely to idolize Jamie Dimon or David Solomon. Death Row and Bad Boy ruled the airwaves, while Michael, Shaq, Kobe, and Allen Iverson defined the NBA. Basketball was so dominant in Chicago culture during my coming of age that I still map other things, including restaurants, to NBA teams. Joe's felt like the Miami Heat coming to Chicago in much the same way Smith & Wollensky represented the New York Knicks: each brought a recognizable piece of its hometown culture into another major city. Joe's brought real South Florida sizzle to Chicago, and it landed at exactly the right moment. Going there felt like an occasion. Florida took longer for me to understand in full. My family has roots in the state going back decades, farther north along the Atlantic coast, and I didn't visit Miami until March 2007, when my sister started graduate school in Coral Gables. That trip began my love affair with Miami and helped me understand why the original Joe's was such an institution. A close family friend's father spent time around Miami in the 1960s and 1970s. He knew local fishermen who caught stone crabs, which gave me an appreciation for the older South Florida culture around the food, separate from Joe's own history. Another Joe's memory captures an entirely different moment. Looking through my OpenTable history, my July 31, 2008 reservation at Joe's in Chicago is the earliest reservation I can find at a restaurant that is still open today. I was 23, working at UBS, preparing to move to New York while the firm was already on fire from its mortgage losses, and Lehman would file for bankruptcy just weeks later. I was broke but wildly aspirational, dreaming about dinners at Balthazar, begging my way past the doors at Cain and Tenjune, hoping to drink for free, and trying to meet women comically far out of my league. Through all of those memories, the restaurant itself has been remarkably consistent. The stone crab claws are incredible, the seafood is excellent, and Joe's holds its own among Chicago's serious steakhouses. The room has traditionally felt a little more formal than Miami, with bow ties, polished service, and a darker old-school steakhouse rhythm, while still being genuinely welcoming. Finish with the key lime pie. Years later, my wife and I held our wedding reception at RPM Seafood, another Lettuce restaurant, then ate at the original Joe's during our honeymoon in Miami during COVID days later, which felt like a fitting circle back. In sheer range of venues, repeatability of quality and atmosphere, and consistency of hits, Lettuce is the gold standard in Chicago, with some of that same reach in Vegas and DC. I've been extraordinarily privileged in my exposure to hospitality, and I still repeatedly admire Rich Melman's model, taste, and execution, now carried forward by the next generation of the family. Joe's is a prime example: world-class, durable, unmistakably Chicago, and absolutely somewhere I want to return next time I'm in town with some dough to spend. While Joe's may not be French, this place still earns my highest marks: très bien!

The baked potatoes and other sides were still delicious but the steaks came out dry and overcooked. The quality was very much lacking. Bib on, gloves on, time to dig in... My daughter ordered the bag with shrimp, crab legs, corn and potatoes and I ordered lobster tails, corn and potatoes and two lemonades (lemonades were delicious!) We ordered our food with the everythang sauce (which is a mix of all their sauces) and it was really good and really flavorful. Messy is to be expected but surprisingly the food mess was manageable and did not take away from my dining experience. The amount of crab legs in my bag to me did not justify $32 and if it wasn't for the potatoes and two corns I'm sure I would of still been hungry. Seafood boils are not a cheap experience neither, our meals with the two lemonades and no alcohol was $110, so definitely not an every weekend dining option, but leaving I did see on their info board that their shrimp, crab bags are $28 Monday - Thursday and they look to have a pretty good happy hour so this might be a reason for a quicker return. Overall my experience was pretty good.

This place is like a self-serve where you order at the counter and the bring it out to you. Perfect…read morehappy hour options but the drinks is really strong that we didn't even finish half. The ambiance is nice inside and gets busy a little after happy hour. I would say their happy hour deal is such a good deal and if you wanted to you can share with other people. Loved that they have spice levels like hot to extra spicy. The jalepeno corn bread was really good and flavorful. The mango lemonade is also good but wished it was a little colder. The beignets can get a little messy but they were good as well being that it was my first time.
