It's the perfect indoor/outdoor space and on summer day the vibes were so good. Our server was very nice! She got us started with drinks, and I went with a spicy bloody mary. It was delicious and the perfect amount of kick. We decided to share a few plates and went with the monkey bread, crab and shrimp bruschetta, and truffle parmesan fries. The monkey bread was served hot and was so yummy! The caramel glaze it's served with was absolutely delicious. We also couldn't stop eating the truffle fries - so good! They are super crispy. The bruschetta was the only dish I wasn't super crazy about. It almost tasted tuna-y, and the portions were pretty small. Not bad, just not my favorite. This was a cute spot to check out for a little app and yap session! We ordered the monkey bread, parmesan fries, and crab and shrimp bruschetta. I really enjoyed these bites! I would recommend all of them. I tried a mocktail too. I can't remember the name, but it definitely tasted like a cocktail just without the alcohol, which really impressed me! Our server was really nice and accommodating, knowing we were there to catch up after a while. She was always checking in on us. A bonus was the live entertainment! My only downside is that they had the windows and door open, so there were flies we had to fight off. I chose to sit inside for two reasons: to avoid bugs and the heat. Crispy Coconut Tofu, 4.5/5: the tofu is extremely crispy. The coconut is very light so even if you're not a fan, you can enjoy this. Truffle Lobster Melt and Bisque, 5/5: YOU HAVE TO GET THIS!! The truffle oil is perfectly light and it's not overly cheesy at all. The bread is so crispy and buttery without being too oily. Everything comes together so nicely. Interior is super nice and fresh. Having been to Hampton Social in Nashville and absolutely loving it, I knew the Chicago location would be the perfect spot for dinner before heading to Navy Pier for fireworks. We were able to snag a same-day reservation, which was a great start to the evening. We were seated upstairs near the outdoor patio, and I immediately fell in love with the fresh, coastal décor. The open-air patio gives the restaurant such a laid-back, beachy vibe that's hard to find in the middle of downtown Chicago. We started with wine, and my daughter ordered the non-alcoholic sangria, which she absolutely loved. For appetizers, we shared the honey-glazed Brussels sprouts with whipped goat cheese and the truffle Parmesan fries. Both were awesome. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened sea bass with coconut rice, broccolini, and mango salsa. It was fresh, perfectly cooked, and tasted like summer on a plate. My husband loved the steak frites, my daughter couldn't get enough of the white truffle mac & cheese, and my son happily devoured the kids' mac & cheese. We also shared a Caesar salad, and everything we ordered was delicious. Our service was outstanding. Even though the restaurant was busy, our server was attentive, and both our drinks and food came out surprisingly fast. A rather impressive cocktail menu--I opted for the Mango Aperol & LOVED it, yet saw several others that I could try. Thanks to a search via Yelp, we decided to go to The Hampton Social. This Streeterville location was busy on a Friday evening, but our group of six was seated in a more secluded dining space without waiting. Although I only had a guava lemonade (sweetly refreshing), our party were fans of the fresh oyster platter with seasonal east and west coast oysters (plus the "purse sized" bottle of tabasco sauce), shrimp roll with housemade chips, espresso martini, and beer. Chicago restaurant week just so happen to fall during my birthday. so my best friends made reservation for us to dine at the Hampton Social. I was excited as I had never been plus it would allow me to try a few things from the menu. We arrived on time for our reservation and was greeted and sat right away. It wasn't packed as it was a Tuesday night but it was a nice crowd. There was a lot of place to take pictures for social media but it was very nice inside. My Server was amazing and was very attentive I ordered the Chicago Restaurant 3 course meal I ordered the dynamite shrimp With No creamy Chili Sauce with a side of their homemade ranch, Medium Well Filet Mignon with no mushrooms and it came with Mashed Potatoes and a sauce and apple crumble with no Gelato. The Shrimp was amazing and I enjoyed it even more with the ranch. My steak did come out rare but we were able to get me a new steak right away. The steak and the mashed potatoes were amazing and the sauce made it even better. The Apple Crumble was a great completion to the meal. Overall I enjoyed the meal and my birthday. Went here for dinner to celebrate my birthday with one of my girlfriends as I hadn't been here in a long time and I also received a coupon in my email for a free bottle of rose with purchase of entree. I thought that was really nice! I believe the manager working that night was name Meddi, he was amazing! He helped us get our order in and even brought us 2 free shots of frose which was basically frozen rose slushee. My friend ordered the Manhattan style lobster roll that she said was excellent. I ordered the truffle lobster melt and bisque. It was very tasty but I did not taste any truffle flavor in it, it just tasted like a lobster grilled cheese to me but was still very good! Had a reservation which was surprising seeing that it was St Pattys Weekend. Came in mostly for a light lunch. I ordered a the Carolina Tangy BBQ wings. They were grilled perfectly and came with a side of white sauce I'm not sure what it was but complemented the dish well. Make sure to have a reservation seeing that this place fills up fast! I was only turned off when the check came. You could pay online via the QR code but they don't tell you that they add tip on top of the automatic gratuity as well as a service charge. Came here for happy hour and thought they had great deals! There's a lot of seating, and the space feels open and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after work. Happy hour deals are solid: $9 cocktails and apps and $1.50 oysters. We ordered a down of oysters and the guac, and I got the spicy skinny margarita. The oysters were decent for the price with no weird taste. The guac was good too and came with plenty of chips. My spicy skinny margarita was really good and definitely did not taste watered down. A group of friends and I were looking for last minute dinner reservations on our final night in Chicago and decided to give The Hampton Social a try. Their menu had something that fitted the needs of everyone in our group. Our server was Jasmine, and she was absolutely amazing! She was very personable, knew the menu well, and offered great suggestions. She highly recommended the crab and shrimp bruschetta which was really good. I ordered a New York Sour which I enjoyed. My friends tried the Espresso Martini made with tequila and liked the smoothness of the drink. For an entree, I had Blackened sea bass with coconut rice, broccolini, and mango salsa. It was good however I couldn't really tell that the fish was blackened. Despite that, the flavors worked well together. My friend really enjoyed her lobster roll which was recommended. My other friend had the seafood gnocchi. She didn't care for the cheese inside the gnocchi though but liked the flavor of the dish. Lobster roll in Chicago is never cheap, but they did load the roll with lots of lobsters. Prime Rib sandwich was also good. Fish & Chips was interesting. The batter on the fish fillet was close to the batter you usually got on the calamari. Batter was really crispy, not greedy, and the fish was tender. Wagyu beef burger was disappointing though. As a fellow restaurant owner, I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand that things happen. Staff call out, restaurants get slammed, and no shift is perfect. Unfortunately, what I experienced at Hampton Social today was not a staffing issue: it was a management issue. We visited on a busy Friday afternoon when the restaurant was only accepting bar seating. The entire bar and restaurant appeared to be operating with a single bartender, Ron, who was responsible not only for serving guests at the bar but also handling service tickets for the entire restaurant. Despite being completely overwhelmed, Ron remained kind, professional, calm, and gracious throughout the entire experience. This review is absolutely not a reflection of him. In fact, he was the highlight of our visit. The problem was that management allowed him to drown. While Ron was buried in tickets and unable to keep up with the volume, there appeared to be plenty of support staff standing around. We observed hosts lingering behind the bar, support staff on their phones, managers walking the floor, and fully staffed dining sections, all while one bartender attempted to manage what should have been a multi-person operation. The result was exactly what you'd expect. Guests sat for extended periods without service. A couple next to us waited roughly 30 minutes before even being greeted. Another couple left entirely after sitting unattended for so long. We personally chose not to order another round because service had become impossible through no fault of the bartender. When it came time to leave, we asked for assistance closing our tab and were told we needed to wait for the bartender. Eventually a manager closed us out, but rather than acknowledging the obvious operational breakdown, she seemed inconvenienced by the situation and even attempted to place blame on the bartender for delays in ringing drinks. Frankly, that was disappointing. If a bartender is so overwhelmed that basic service cannot be maintained, the issue is not the bartender. After speaking with another manager and explaining our concerns, we were told that two additional bartenders had called out. While unfortunate, that's exactly when management needs to step in and support the team. If you're running a busy restaurant and multiple bartenders call out, managers should be behind the bar helping, not standing on the sidelines watching one employee struggle. I want to reiterate that Ron was fantastic. He was professional, friendly, and handled an impossible situation with far more grace than most people could have managed. Hampton Social has a beautiful space and was clearly busy enough to justify being fully staffed. What we witnessed was not a lack of business or a lack of effort from the frontline team, it was a failure of leadership and operational management. I sincerely hope ownership takes a closer look at what happened because both the staff and the guests deserve better. read more

This spot was within walking distance to our hotel and was flagged as having a kids menu - the reviews looked good so we made the trek to have dinner. The place is really nice inside - a lot of lights and tall tables. I was a bit surprised when we were seated at a high top as we had a 2 year old and a 5 year old with us. There were some options on the other side of the restaurant that had booths against the wall - that probably would have been a better option for the kiddos. We didn't think anything of it until my daughter fell out of her chair; she was tired and misjudged when she went to grab her food; luckily she was fine. I don't know if anybody noticed as there wasn't a single person that asked if she was ok. The food came out quickly - we appreciated that! We got calamari to start and it was delicious. We were offered a number of types of water to begin and our server really seemed to want us to order drinks but I only wanted water. My husband and I both ordered the chicken and my kids both got cheese quesadillas. We really liked the chicken, the flavors were awesome and the fresh greenery served with it complimented it well. The portions were generous and the kids both got free ice cream. Luckily, we weren't too picky about if the kids could have the ice cream because it got brought out before their plates were cleared. Hampton Social is always a good meal, but now that I'm writing this review, I feel cheated. Keep reading-- Drew was my server. He was attentive to my allergies, and very friendly. I did have a birthday coupon they emailed me for a free bottle of Domaine St. Michelle Brut Rosé. That free bottle apparently was a bit of an issue as I was dining solo, so they could not have the full bottle at my table (I'm guessing Dram Shop laws in place and respected). No worries. I'm not there to get tipsy. I was told they could not give me the bottle unopened, either. They must, by law, open it and pour some, then recap it and I can take it home. Okay, whatever. So, Drew poured a glass and kept the bottle at the bar and then they wrapped it up with the screw on top in place for me to take when I left. That aside, I ordered the fish sandwich and paid the extra $2 for their fries. Sandwich came out after a very short wait. The samich was flavorful but the fries were not as good as they have been in past visits, but I ate them. At least they were the thin fries. The sandwich was excellent (albeit a lot oily) in flavor, but all of that deep fried batter- I most likely would not order again, regardless of how good it was, unless I had some craving for it. I RARELY EVER eat deep fried foods outside French fries. At the end I got my bill and payments are done via QR code. They DO auto tip and then almost lock you in to paying even more. Okay, I upped my tip. Here's where they lost stars. They cheapened my brut rose! Per the emailed promotional, I was supposed to get the Domaine St Michelle (which retails around $15) BUT without telling me, they gave me a bottle of $6 Brut Rosé called Wycliff Brut Rosé! (Added it and comped it to my bill as $25-laughable.) Look, the subbed in Brut did not taste bad, but it was a feeling of deceit that they switched it for the lesser price bottle. And in reality if you don't have it, sub UP, not down! That was bad and I'm so bothered (maybe mad) that I won't be back for a very long time! Beautiful decor. Convenient location near Mag Mile. Attentive service from Andrés and the team. Delicious food! We had the Brussels sprouts app, Asian kale salad w grilled shrimp added, ahi tuna salad, and smoky orange bourbon cocktail. The two of us left full and happy. read more

We had a great time at Hampton social streeterville. Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive. The restaurants wasn't very busy but they had a live guitar player which made it a little too loud for conversation without leaning forward. Ambiance is family friendly and maybe bit tourist-y. The food was very very good. I was a little surprised because I don't remember enjoying it as much in the past. I think the biggest downside are the prices. They seem like more tourists leaning priced. Brunch entrees range from $20-40 with simple entrees such as two eggs bacon and potatoes being more than $20. The portions were also a bit small. Breakfast/brunch isn't usually a particularly pricey meal especially in Chicago. Overall it was good but I would be hesitant to return due to the cost. read more

A great restaurant to escape the city and feel like you are in California or the Italian coast! Two levels of seating, each with great ambiance. The food menu is limited, still with good choices, and there's plenty of cool drinks to choose from. I got the tomato bisque soup with toast on the side. The soup was good but nothing too special, similar to a regular tomato soup but thicker. Beware that they automatically charge every order with an 18% service fee, that goes to the wait staff. read more
