My friends and I came in on a Sunday morning shortly before noon and were able to find parking outside and get a table for 4. The place was extremely lively, which I kind of expect for a brunch place, but there was some serious energy here. The wait staff was buzzing around and I was particularly impressed that what I assume was management was also helping out on the service side pretty heavily. Anyways, I opted for some biscuits and gravy (solid A), scrambled eggs (B+), and breakfast potatoes (A-). I also needed to try the sweet/spicy chicken biscuit deal and while it was incredibly messy, it as very good (solid A). Overall this is a very very good little brunch spot and I would strongly recommend stopping in if you're local or happen to be passing through CoMo. read more

I really wasn't sure what to expect, but disappointed would be the result. The seating area is very open, and the place was about 1/3 full with a steady flow in and out. The menus are... overwhelming, the descriptions are complex, the print barely visible, but absurdly high prices for breakfast fare... $17 for a BLT biscuit???? I chose simple with the JoJo's special of just eggs, potatoes and gravy biscuit. The eggs were cooked well and to my liking, but the potatoes had a very off flavor that I just could not take, and did not finish them (nor even take them to go). The gravy biscuit was... okay. Still had some kind of herb either in the gravy or in the biscuit that wasn't very appealing. My wife chose the "avocado" toast which was piled very high with mixed salad greens? Then a very light spread of avocado hiding underneath. For $17... At least the coffee was piping hot and flavorful. I'm afraid this is a once and done. I wish I had taken pictures of the food to share but I was too busy eating it. We have eaten at Jojo's three times now and they have exceeded expectations every time. Our server today, Avery had the balance of service and not hovering just right. She seemed to know when we needed something and when we were just happily eating with no needs. Food. I have not eaten a thing here that I did not enjoy but huge shout outs for: Candied bacon Sausage gravy Biscuits. Crispy on the outside super light and fluffy on the inside. Cinnamon Roll. First time coming here arriving it looked pretty packed and thought maybe wait. Time would be sometime but we got seed. Almost immediately. Waitress came over pretty much as soon as we sat down. Got her drinks orders and not much after our food orders. And surprisingly it took about 10 minutes. Maybe 15 between the time we ordered and the time we got our food. It was all pretty delicious!! I ended up getting the chilaquiles and my wife got the Nuevo Laredo eggs Benedict not bad just would've gotten the gravy on the side. Parking can be challenging. Strip mall gets full. About 30 minute wait Saturday at lunch. Service is nice. Tables are close. It's loud. Music is good but the noise level to due the number and proximity of people. Biscuit and gravy. 10/10. Great flavor and consistency. Food was really good, every single thing had its own bold flavor. I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy especially, the biscuit was super soft all around with no hard parts! service was very nice, they checked up on us multiple times and I really enjoyed the idea that they had a carafe of water for the table; prices are also super reasonable! The ambience is similar to first watch or home grown (in Kansas City) which I consider a plus since it is more small town vibes here. The owner comes by and checks on people just like he does at buds bbq! The food was outstanding. Our first visit to Jojos; but won't be our last! Our service exceeded expectations. Our server, hostesses, basically everyone in the building is working very hard to make sure everyone is happy with their experience. I ordered the Willy chicken biscuit, and while flavors were delish, would try something else next time as I didn't expect it to be as saucy as it was. Food was absolutely delicious. They use a spice blend on the eggs and white gravy that I felt it would be shameful on my part to add any pepper or salt to it. I had the Jojo's special and would recommend. Two eggs, grilled potatoes and biscuit and gravy. Service was quick and attentive. The person I perceived as the owner even checked in on us. My daughter is pregnant and they happily brought her a box to take what she couldn't eat right away home. We even ordered another biscuit & gravy pan to take home to her husband. The order was delivered with the gravy in a separate cup so that the biscuit wouldn't get mushy on the way home. Very friendly staff. Seem genuinely happy to be working.
