The service is good and the food is the same quality as to other Jollibee branches in the Philippines.

And in all its simplicity, Go! Salads's lemon basil vinaigrette made my salad sing. I detected lemon basil, a bit of honey, a squirt of lemon juice, salt, and olive oil, just enough to bring out each salad component's flavors. I inhaled the full serving in 5 minutes. Aside from the Peachy Traveller salad, I was also impressed with their Balsamic Mushroom Chickpea sandwich, a thick, six-inch long ciabatta loaf stuffed with this huge slab of sweet-tangy and juicy mock meat, topped with fresh cucumber slices. Incredulous, I had to verify with the server if this was indeed the chickpea filling, not tofu. Affirmative. Their pita bread with garlic hummus was nothing out of the ordinary. But for one slice of pita, there was plenty of hummus left over to dip my sandwich in. Their Eastwood branch is cozy, with a private nook for more intimate dates. Intimacy aside, I like my privacy even in public, so this tiny quiet spot away from prying eyes is a plus for me. HOWEVER: For a salad joint, Go! Salads does not serve plenty of vegan-friendly options. All of their salads either have meat or animal by-products like cheese and honey. You'll have to ask the server to omit these, or you can gun for their green smoothies, and some of their sandwiches and soups. Their specialty teas are a bit watery and bland; the cupcakes, flavorful as they are, tend to be dry.The tea could swap some of its moisture for the cupcakes' sweetness, and life would be perfect. At the time of my visit, the staff blasted OPM rock music on the radio, which didn't fit the store's peaceful ambience and ethos. The other patron, a girl in her twenties, was deeply immersed in a book, so I'm sure that the loud, blaring tunes were an unwelcome distraction as well. This is a place to detox, and that includes clearing your mind of noise, not adding to it. The staff obviously was playing loud music for themselves, not for the clientele. STILL: I plan to return, this time for the smoothies.

Oorder lang ako dito ng dalawang gourmet salad (P100.00/each), isang green smoothie (P100.00) at dalawang pita with hummus or sun dried tomato snack (P50.00/each) at buhay na ako mula brunch hanggang hapunan. Kahit na puro healthy snacks ang pinanda nila, masarap ang timpla nito kaya talagang puntahan ng mga nagdidiyeta na gusto ng magaan pero masarap na pagkain.

I was happy to have spotted Tossed, a new salad and wrap joint at the 2nd floor food court of SM Mall of Asia. They offer a small selection of Asian destination-inspired salads (which you can also get as a wrap, at no extra cost!) And, if you prefer to have your meal without meat, you get Php 10 off your bill! I personally wish all veg-friendly places would offer this discount! If you're one of those people who find customizing your toppings and dressings just too darn tedious, then this is your place, as you won't get an existential crisis while trying to figure out your meal. Though, to put it plainly, this place is ideal for someone who wants to sneak in some veggies in their diet but still have the excuse to eat unhealthy, oily, and meaty stuff at the same time--some of their ingredients include adobo chicken flakes, roasted barbecued pork, and chicharon among others. In a way this can be a good thing, as it makes salad-eating more accessible to heavy meat eaters and junk foodies. But, if you're looking for a salad packed with all the quality, healthy, nutrient-packed good stuff, sadly this is not your joint. As for vegan options, there are only around 2 or 3, as their dressings mostly have some form of seafood, honey, or dairy (and they won't even allow you to replace it with the vegan-friendly dressing!). Currently they're on soft opening, so my meal took quite a while as their staff was doing a mini guessing game with the toppings. I got the Korea wrap without the beef bulgogi (Php 140), which has a kimchi dressing--quite like a bibimbap without rice and egg. My wrap turned out not as satisfying or punched with flavor as I had hoped for it to be (granted that I had the beef removed-but they do welcome no-meat options, which means their food must feel 'complete' without the meat). With more options and flexibility, this place has some great potential.

What we tried was Thailand - house mix greens, cilantro, crunch on top, cucumber, pomelo, basil and vermicelli. Dressing is thai shrimp paste-chilli lime. For protein, they've added grilled shrimp. Prices are worthy and proportion to the serving size. Minus P10 if you want it meatless. Salads can be served either on a bowl or wraps. Definitely something worth to try!

Especially places like Juju Eats which not only serves salads and fruit juices, but DELICIOUS salads and fruit juices. In my experience, I've learned that "delicious" and "healthy" don't always go hand in hand. Thankfully, Juju Eats is here to prove that sometimes, it does. The whole vibe of Juju Eats is sort of like a giant salad bar. The food comes in stainless steel bowls, and you can choose whether you want your salad as a half order or a full order. If you're like me and can't get enough of all the veggies, I'd say definitely go for the full order (even if it's a little pricey, in my opinion) but the half-order is pretty filling too. The salads are definitely not of the "tasteless green stuff" variety, and you can choose from a menu or make a salad up yourself. They have everything from nacho salads to pasta salads to some special ones like the Roast Pumpkin which has bits of fruit and nut in them. You can even choose to have your salad wrapped in pita, if you want to eat your salad on-the-go. They also have a bunch of specially-made juices, if you wanna up the "healthy food" factor with a delicious fruity drink. Juju Eats is definitely the place to go if you're a health nut looking for a fix, or a veggie hater waiting to be converted.

I visited their Paseo de Roxas branch for dinner on a Tuesday night, and there were only a few tables occupied, perhaps because most have their Juju meals delivered our for take-away? Anyway, no queues and waiting for a vacant table, the place was well-lit and the interiors were so modern and vibrant without being intimidating, so this was a very pleasant experience for me. The freedom to customize your food at Juju Eats is just plesantly overwhelming. Their salads can be ordered Regular- or Half-size, or as wraps. Or if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, you can practically make your own salad from among their MANY fresh ingredients you'll see at the counter. Since it's my first time, I went with my friend's recommendation, the Big Boy Wrap--romaine, grilled chicken, bacon, hard boiled egg, sun dried tomato, grated cheddar, red kidney beans, and french dressing in a wrap of regular dough (the alternative option is whole wheat dough). It was one of the more appealing choices for me because there was meat in it, unlike the other choices that contained mostly veggies, fruit, or cheese. And the flavor didn't disappoint at all. The ingredients were obviously fresh and went well together in one bite, just like a good, hearty salad, minus the overpowering dressing. They put their EVOO and vinaigrette as free-flowing condiments you can have on the side, so I tried them and they made each bite even better. My friend even put sriracha on his salad pasta. If there's anything I'm not jumping up and down about Juju Eats is the price. But then again, it's hard to find restaurants with really affordable guiltless offerings these days, especially in the Philippines. Also, don't expect to be filled especially if you have a usually big appetite (As a result, we walked to the nearby Jamba Juice stall at Eco Plaza, LOL.) Overall, I was happy with my first Juju Eats experience. In fact, I cannot wait to try every other thing in their menu, especially their salad pastas. I just don't think it's financially sustainable for me to buy from them everyday.
