Jon is amazing and we loved him!! We bought a foreclosure on a 203k loan which meant that we had to get repairs done by a certain amount of time. Our fist contractor we hired had done illegal work AND quit on us, which meant we had to find someone else and quick. Jon stepped up and took the job. This wasn't some small job, it was a big 2400 sf that needed everything, flooring, roof, windows, paint, everything... what I liked most about him is that he's professional AND friendly, which means a lot when you gotta let this person into your home and deal with them for a length of time. I liked that he was laid back, Easy to talk to and easy to get along with. It just made things "easier" In some way. Jon made personal sacrifices to help us as well. His family moved state during this time which meant that He would go back and forth and try balancing his work and family time. He promised to get it all done... And he did. our home looks so beautiful now I can't get over it. Jon had also been traveling two hours round trip just to help us each day, so he was having to be on the road quite a lot. I liked that Jon would even take the time to show us stuff, like laminate flooring and window screens. He's got a lot of patience...I spilled some cleaner on the new flooring and he took the time to help fix it. It was the little things he did that I appreciated most. I appreciated that he took my families situation into consideration when he remodeled the master bathroom. We have a special needs child whose quite a handful and so when Jon put in a soaking tub, I don't think it was as big of a deal to him as it was to us. It meant the world to us, because it's kinda our little getaway from the every day stress. Jon, thank you so so much for everything you have done. Called Jon out to give me a bid on a deck that I was interested in building off of my second story kitchen. I got several bids, jon not only came in with a reasonable price, but he was straightforward and I felt like I could trust him, which is important when you're having work done on your home. Turns out that was the truth. Jon did an excellent job on my deck, he was very knowledgeable , and he didn't cut corners... Well besides the ones he was supposed to cut (neuck neuck). Is a great, easy-going, honest man and he'll get the first call next time I have work to be done. Jon Sealy just finished building us a new deck and it looks amazing. Jon is such a wonderful craftsman and doesn't over charge. We had him do a larger remodel job a few years ago on our house and loved his work so we hired him again for this new Timber Tech deck. It looks great against our house and is extremely well built/sturdy. He always does wonders with our old 1936 house by improving quality with newer rot/insect resistant materials while maintaining the original styling and beauty of the old 1936 house. He is fantastic. Unfortunately he is moving to Washington soon so we will have to find a new contractor to work with on future renovation jobs. We will miss him. I guess our loss is Washington's gain. read more

We were a little slow to get started, but once Jon came out, I was super pleased with his work. He built a deck, did some exterior carpentry, and also added some outside electrical fixtures. When you hire Jon, there are two qualities that really stand out: 1. His skill and craftsmanship really show thru - there were all sorts of details on my deck that could only be done by someone who has a real attention to detail and a very high standard for appearance and function. He went above and beyond in my expectations. 2. Jon draws upon his past experience to come up with insightful improvements or solutions for the project. Jon just finished a renovation job on our house in Dixon Ca. last month. I cannot say enough about the quality of work we received from Jon Sealy Construction and the safety & security we felt during the whole construction process. Not only was he the lowest bid but he does excellent work and hires only trustworthy employees. Having many friends in the construction business in the Bakersfield/Porterville area, I was apprehensive about having people we do not know in our home and was worried about the quality of craftsmanship in that industry. We purchased an older 1936 house in 2009 that had many contemporary renovations over the years making it a hodge-podge of periods and styles (30's, 50's. 70's, 90's). We knew when we purchased we wanted to bring the house back to more of an original look while introducing modern products, safety and conveniences. Being unimpressed with so much of the construction work these days (on home repair shows and on other homes in California) we were not sure we could ever find anyone we would be fully comfortable having work on our home. However, I think someone set the clock back when we met Jon. He is a true craftsman and someone you can feel comfortable with in your home. read more
