Ed, the owner of Set In Stone, responded first phone call, arrived on time for our appointment, and looked at our project with confidence and professionalism. Throughout the project we could call and ask questions or change things, he never got angry or impatient with us. Our project was his project. He made us feel like he really cared that we were going to be happy. Now no renovation is going to be without its problems, but patience with each other and pulling together made it all come out beautiful in the end. You have to be your own advocate, checking that things are done the way you like, but if you stay involved daily and are a reasonable person you should have a good experience. I had called James after an electrical fire outside and he came within a day with parts and ready…read moreto work. He listened as I showed him all the electrical areas in my house I had issues with and he kept track of my concerns throughout the whole process. I was so excited to hear he painted - I had him fix multiple large areas of paint chipping in my living room and he ended up painting my whole bathroom for a small price because he wanted it to be done right and the price was right so it was a bonus! He also updated my kitchen under cabinet lighting with led strips and it turned out so much cleaner looking and really classy and cool. I am so grateful to him- he went around my entire house and reinstalled probably 70% of my outlets, told me about use of extension cords and other tips to stay safe. He made sure the outlets were GFI certified where they needed to be and I was up to code for my own safety. Not once did I feel like it was about money. He worked here for about two days and was willing to put in long hours and I was very happy to have a job well done by an honest electrician that was in and out quickly and he really did everything I asked, even little extra paint jobs I noticed. He said "not a problem". What a breathe of fresh air compared to these other companies out to cut corners and get you for as much as they can. He was honest and he truly was concerned about getting my electrical issue resolved and bringing safety to my daughter and myself. I already plan to have him back in a few months to upgrade my circuit panel. I really think you'll be impressed with his expertise and how well he does with his work. He was very easy to work with and for a single mom, I felt safe and comfortable.
