My Eyebrow Microblading Experience at Jonelle's Brows at Bigoudi Salon I did it!!! After posting my question about it and receiving SO many incredible responses, I decided to bite the bullet and have my brows microbladed! I am SO happy with the results! Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows. It is a new semi-permanent tattoo technique that fills brows out or reshapes them by drawing on tiny lines that look like individual hairs. It is done with a hand-held tool -- it looks like an X-ACTO knife made out of needles -- that puts pigment into the skin, but doesn't go as deep as a normal tattoo would. Before it begins, a topical numbing cream is applied. I felt only minor discomfort at times and there is no down time. Jonelle has been in the beauty industry for 20+ years, including the account coordinator/trainer for Anastasia Beverly Hills. Her specialty is natural brows/makeup. She is very easy on the hand....and feels its always better to do less, than more, as you can always go back and add in what is necessary....but you can't take away! I don't like being the only bad review in a sea of great reviews, but my experience is valid. I saw the perfect score on here, and that there was a voucher out so I figured I would try getting my brows done since I'm trying to find an eyebrow place closer to home. I was there right on time and waited 20 minutes. I would have appreciated a phone call saying "Hey I'm running late. Please come a little later or let's reschedule", but that didn't happen. I waited and waited. When I finally was called in, no apology was given. I don't know if it's that I don't have the right look, or the fact that I was a voucher customer with why there was no f***s given for me...a potential client... I waited 20 minutes for a 15 minute waxing session. When the session was over there was no offer of applying ointment over the redness, and this was the first time that I have had to brush off the hairs off my own face... Yep, I had to do that. I've had my brows waxed since I was maybe 14 and have never, ever had the aesthetician not do that. I did them in front of her hoping she would realize that she should be doing that, but she showed no interest. That being said, Jonelle shaped my brows well, so no complaints on the style. That and there being a parking lot are the only reasons why I made this a 2 star review and not a 1 star review. This was the first time in my life that I have never given a tip. Based on my experience I would not return or recommend. My search for an eyebrow waxer will continue as I'm sure that I can find someone who can make a nice shape and be respectful of their clients time. read more

I've found my brow girl!!! I've been getting my eyebrows done for years and I went to the sweetest older woman who had years and years of experience and always made them look fabulous! She sold her salon and retired several years back and I was devastated! Since then I've tried several brow people in the valley but I didn't LOVE any of them so I decided to just kept trying!
