//WARNING/// Jones Law Office and Zach Newland is the antithesis of ethical and diligent professionalism. Mr. Newland under the direction of Tracy Jones failed to uphold the most basic of standards expected between an attorney and their client. Communication issues: Mr. Newland would hold back critical information for six plus weeks, and only notified the client after a second deadline was passed about a Court Issues request which led me to be in contempt of Court and costing me hundreds of thousands of dollars. Zach Newland then tried to cover his mistake and mislead the client about the issue and just simply wanted the client to pay the fine and move on without concern for the contempt of court ruling (was only 10 thousand dollars, I guess he has a lot of money and 10k isn't a lot for him). He then tried to then blame cause on my Service Connected disability. (I am a disabled vet) When the items where provided after a mad rush within a few weeks of notice (Thousands of documents due), he then failed to submit them to opposing counsel and I even had to have my next attorney (after Zach was fired) submit them. Seriously I am talking about the most basic of financial disclosure and a very basic first step in any divorce. Zach Newland was my attorney for over a year and he NEVER got the financial disclosures to the other side. Mr. Newland lied to his client about a 2nd delay in the final hearing (this delayed the hearing by a year!), by blaming the delay on a personal matter of opposing counsel. When in fact it was just revealed that opposing counsel did not incur that delay. This is about the same time that I didn't get critical communications, nor any communication from my attorney, I guess he had better things to do. Mr. Newland would then call me and intentionally mislead me about the delay and saying there is nothing we can do. When in fact it came to light, he was the delay and didn't want me to know. Mr. Newland told a key a witness saying not to worry about any witness retaliation as "I will gladly represent you for free, should anyone retaliate against you". Witness was relieved and agreed. Guess what, just 4 months later after the witness list was provided, the witness was retaliated against as expected, and confirmed by Zach's own wording. But guess what, he said he can't help and refused to address it with the courts. and left the witness hanging. Mr. Newland is a liar, a thief and a charlatan. Tracey Jones is just as inept as she was involved every step of the way and did not care to respond nor take a corrective action when these issues were brought up with her subordinate. This is just the tip. Massive billing issues, such as his scam billing technique by doing a bait and switch regarding paralegals. Jones Law will tell you they have a paralegal (in agreement document with billing rate). But you will get billed at the full rate for EVERYTHING, seriously forwarding an email is all Zach would do, and he eventually cost me plus $25,000 in fees and did barely anything. I would have been better off having my dog represent me then paying Jones Law LLC.
