I went here while on vacation to get a dip removed. What a disaster! They had me soak my fingers in a bowl of what seemed to be pure acetone, and then drilled the dip off. My nails are completely destroyed, shredded and bleeding. also, they still had polish on them when I left. it will be months if not a year before my nails are healed. Last time I was in town I called for an appointment for my wife, daughter and me and they said yes come in, they will take us in 10 min, after making us wait 30 min before starting us, they literally stopped working on each of us to go work on other people. They made us wait another 30 min, with 1/2 done mani/pedis then apologized and offered other services and made it sound included and then charged us a ton of money. I made the mistake of trying again yesterday. Called ahead, they said come at 3. They made us wait again 30 min, then started soaking our feet and another 20 min went by and they still didn't start our mani pedi... 50 minutes of waiting, they didn't offer us anything to drink, acknowledge they delay - nothing. Wet feet, we got up and said we had a 3.00pm appointment, they said oh, sorry. Bye . Such a shame in an otherwise wonderful community of businesses. Expensive and poor service. I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience. While getting my nails done I thought they were incredibly unprofessional but that's only the beginning. I was charged $100 when I was quoted $60. This is incredibly disappointing. My nails have started falling off and its only been a week, disappointing. I called to sort out the situation and I was told "this is bullshit" and that I need to seek help. Again very disappointing. They then hung up on me. Which is incredibly disappointing and finally they blocked me. I really hope no body ever has this experience again so I am writing this review To save others from this scam. read more

We needed pedicures and despite the not so great reviews, decided to give this salon a try. Really glad we did! It was a Sunday & we made last minute appts (basically walk-ins). Yes, we waited a bit past our appt time to actually get into a chair but they couldn't have been nicer...we did not feel ignored or forgotten. They are so short staffed...only 3 nail techs there and they were busy. Our pedicures were then relaxing and thorough...we never felt rushed. Made in appointment for noon today for a full set gel acrylic and a long day gel pedicure (their premium pedicure). I was lucky and was able to get an appointment same day. This salon seemed brand new and was located in VOC. I walked in 5 mins before my app time, signed in, and picked a color. I was then serviced about ten mins later. Not bad considering sometimes making nail appointments you end up waiting the same amount as a walk in. Anyway I start with my pedicure first. I didn't catch the woman's name giving me the pedi but she was an older Asian lady and was really thorough. The massage chairs were amazing too. I loved how she actually took her time and painted my nails really cute. Massage kinda lacked but it still felt amazing especially with the paraffin treatment and hot towel. I then noticed the mani stations lacking a nail fan. I have hyperhydrosis so having a nail fan is a must. I have gotten my nails done before in salons without fans too though although the experience isn't all that pleasant I make sure to tip extra and the technician will find a way around it usuing towels and letting me dry my hands in between. First time ever I got rejected for having this medical condition I cannot control. The male tech was saying it's "all I'm my mind and that i can control it" and trying to make me feel better but honestly just making it worse. Yes I understand they have a right to refuse service to anyone but ur loosing a bunch of potentially well paying clientelle with medical conditions like hyperhydrosis. If you say it's so common why cant you invest in some dollar store nail fans at least? Pedicure was amazing but will not be back here simply because medical conditions cannot be accommodated. This place was wonderful! I came out to Sedona for a quick trip, celebrating my friend's birthday from San Francisco. Their facility was clean and they had excellent costemer service. I got a "I deserve it" gel pedi and added a gel manicure and eyebrow wax. They took their time on me and the massage they did on my hands and legs was great! Despite the fact that my friend I asked for a same day appointment, Ivy was able to accommodate us fairly soon. All their staff was exreamly warm and friendly. I made an appointment and arrived 5 minutes early. I was asked to sign in and given a number in a queue (#8?) then was told it'd be a 20 minute wait. I waited until 40 minutes later after no update or anything so at that point I got up and left. I was told that other customers arrived late which threw off their schedule, but frankly if I make an appointment and arrive on time, I shouldn't have to be the one to pay the price for others being late. Additionally, the salon needs better ventilation. The chemical smell is so strong and I felt super light headed the entire time. I called a head of time for an appointment. She gave me availability. I came 10mins early. Directed me to a chair to start my pedicure. The salon was full of people and clients. After waiting 40mins I asked nicely, how much longer will it be? They said 5 minutes. Prior that no one checked in on me or looked up. I noticed that other people were still in the middle of their treatment and none of them were closed to finished. I mentioned I had another appointment after this. I had buffered enough time but after being there an hour waiting (and I had an appointment booked) one lady came up to take care of me, she assured me I would be out in time. They wanted me to pay full price, even though I wouldn't get the full service and treatment. It is the blatant disregard of a persons time. I had to push everything I had that day including work due to this. I saw another reviewer prior had the same experience. I took it as just an abnormality, but given how they were behaving and blatant disregard of a customers time. I don't think this is abnormal for them. I usually do not leave reviews but this had to be done. If you have all the time then take the chance.. but I would rather go to ck nails. I went to this salon last year and had a decent experience. It's very close to my place, so made an appointment for a pedicure and was given basically a lot of options. I conscientiously showed up on time and was perfunctorily greeted but no more. I sat for about 10 minutes until a staff pointed me to a chair and filled the basin with lukewarm water. Again no communication. I sat for another 15 minutes.. now a half hour past my appointment and realized all the clients were in the early stage of their nails etc and I would likely be waiting about 45 minutes to start my pedicure. At that point I left and only one staff made eye contact. I found another mail spa in less than a half mile..there are lots in the Village so don't settle. read more

Let's start with; the people are very friendly which is important to me. Got a good vibe as soon as I walked in. I got a gel manicure and standard pedicure. I was disappointed with the actual services. The lady that did my pedi was nice but rushed so fast, she really wasn't getting in and cleaning well. I had to stop her and ask her to clean my cuticles more thoroughly but it still wasn't as thorough as I like. Same with a different person doing my gel manicure at the same time. She glazed over my cuticles but I gave up at that point. Just let them proceed, paid my $70 plus tip and went on my way. We recently moved to VOC in July 2020 so trying to find all my new favorites. hair, nails, cleaning person, etc. Location is ideal for me so if I come back I'll try someone else. read more

I have never written a bad review and I am a HUGE supporter of small businesses. Sadly, this nail salon is my first negative review. I dropped off my teenage daughter and my sister here while we were on a little getaway in Sedona. My sister left while my daughter stayed to have a full set of acrylics done. She needed it to last the normal two to three weeks because she was starting a new job when we got home. And for $100 it should last a long time!!!!!When she went to pay, the woman said it was $100! My daughter was flustered and frustrated, but thought maybe there was something really special about the process that made it worth the money. Unfortunately, not even a week later, she has lost more than one nail for no reason except they were poorly done. My daughter decided to call the salon and ask what the normal price for acrylics was and the woman told her $60. When my daughter told her the nails didn't last, the woman denied charging her $100 and insisted that the process they used is a long lasting process.. The owner made no attempts to make either a whole or partial refund of the hundred dollars. In addition, she blocked my daughter's phone number. I'm not sure which bothers me more the overcharging of a service that didn't last or denying the charges and not being an ethical business owner. I laughed at him because I thought he was kidding. He didn't put. more white on. There was glitter specks contaminating the clear polish. I told the manicurist to get them off my nails and he responded "they look good" and didn't fix it. But only 5 days later, you can see from the photos how poorly my cuticles were treated & how the polish is already lifting off. I'm from California and came to Sedona on an escape. Because I posted it on social media, a girlfriend reached out to me to say she was in Sedona as well getting a pedicure. Since we haven't been able to get a pedicure for 2 1/2 months, I asked where and she directed me to this place. Today, my husband and I come and had a fantastic pedicure. Probably the best I've had and in my neighborhood in So Cal, there's a nail salon on every corner. I'm going to tell our hotel Concierge to suggest Jonivy. It's clean and pretty and had a great selection on colors that they bring to you on a carousel of nails with hundreds of colors instead of rummaging through bottles. Wonderful foot and leg massage. Was the pedicure good? Sure. Was the salon following state guidelines for operating safely during this covid epidemic? Nope. The pedicure chairs are about 3 feet apart. The plastic sheath on the controls for the chair are not changed out between guests. However, I did witness someone spray the chairs down with disinfectant between guests. I thought it was mandated in Sedona as of Friday masks are required. Only about half the patrons were wearing masks. And one guest was openly coughing and didn't even try to cover her mouth, the technician said nothing to her. One technician had a mask but it was below his chin. What's the point? It is Sedona so I felt somewhat ok with my odds in this establishment but it is worrisome as it's a gamble and you never know what to expect when trying to get a standard pedicure and Covid cases are increasing sharply at an alarming rate in Arizona. read more

I booked appointment on a Friday for a Wednesday 9am appointment with Chris specifically, and the place opens at 9am. I was -so- looking forward to a relaxing mani-pedi to start my day. My is full of appointments, unfortunately. I am a local. I get there, and he's just starting another client. I told the girl at the counter that I have a 9am with Chris. She said, oh another technician called in and so she (the other client) got here first. I said "you double-booked Chris?" No, she had an appointment with the technician that didn't show up. So the other client apparently got there a few minutes before me, and they had Chris take her instead, even though I was spot-on on time at 9am. So, she said 9:30 for me. I said ok. I asked "you're sure? 9:30 at the latest?" I had an appointment in W. Sedona at 11:00. And she said "yes, 9:30." He said - you will only take an hour, it will be fine. We are always late, almost every time." I said - right - I know that, that's why I booked first thing when you opened." Sure enough they put my feet to soak at 9:30, and at 9:45 he's still doing the other client's nails. I asked the counter girl "you said 9:30 - what's going on? She said "This is not life or death, it's just a pedicure." Then the other client starts laughing at me. Now I'm pissed. I said something to the other client about laughing at me. So then I said let's reschedule. Clearly I'm the only one that values my time. So, the next 9am appointment with him is next Monday. Friday to Wednesday for the first appointment, then Wednesday to Monday for the next. Nope. They did not offer for a reduced rate due to the inconvenience - just the snarky "it's not life or death" over and over. read more
