(This move has been a stressful one for me.) They called to confirm the night before, and on the morning of, my two gents (shout out to Ross and CJ!) showed up 30 mins early. EARLY! That's unheard of in this day and age. I was impressed!!!! It took these two about 3hrs to unload our 16ft POD. I wasn't aware, but they do a 10% military discount. (We paid cash to avoid the 3% card fee.) There was a $100 deposit at the time of booking, which came off our bill. And of course, we tipped--which they are allowed to accept. (Thanks Ken for being an amazing owner that allows that!) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LMS for your moving needs. While this move was out of pocket for us, I hope that they're contracted with the military for our next (and FINAL, hallelujah) move. Ross and CJ, much love to you both. Both Michael and Kyle displayed patience, politeness, and colloquial professionalism upon arrival and during conducting their services. By each time they worked on my piano, it completely different and better every time. Finding something dependable in today's world can be challenging. Far too many believe that larger…read moreis better. The big box store or internet giant music emporium has all the answer you're looking for. That is exactly the opposite of what I discovered in Guitar's Etc, in Havelock, NC. I have an old friend, a 90's era, Guild F4CE acoustic/electric six string, that I am quite fond of. We've gone through a lot of string changes over these many years and I am very careful when it comes to who fiddles with my guitar. Like all things man made, stuff wears out. This was the case for the Fishman Transducer. The original had failed years ago but I was lucky to find a new/old stock exact replacement. Not so this time. At Fishman suggestion, I located a new pickup but, being 71 years old, I didn't feel as comfortable doing the swap so I decided to ask Pete at Guitar's Etc. The first thing I noticed was theor business hours, Monday through Saturday, 10-6 (except Saturday, then it's 10-4). I found that very reassuring. On Monday morning, I showed Pete the problem and he simply replied, "no problem. Ready Wednesday or Thursday." Finally, the last question, "How much". I watched him doa bit of mental calculations and he replied, "$50 bucks." I'm sure I looked stunned for a minute, then calmly replied, "What year is it!" To my thinking, that was a bargain. Of course I needed new strings which they also had so, I gave him the go-ahead and left the guitar in his capable hands. That evening, around 6:00, I received a text telling me the job was finished and to come pick up my guitar. it's now Tuesday evening and I've just finished checking out Pete's work - perfect!! Nice tight fit with the action being exactly as it was. Nice job Pete, thanks. While I was there I checked the prices for new stuff and it's comparable to the big stores. There's a very good reason they've been around all these years. Dependable, steadfast, solid service. Do yourself a favor and drop by. Tell them JC sent you.

It was a cheap Epiphone, but he was just learning. I told him to take it here. They didn't tell him it was a cheap guitar, they fixed it and set it up for him. So I stopped in there today because I needed a new guitar cable. The owner was so helpful and we had a really good conversation about equipment and a future amp purchase. If you are looking for a local business with a proven track record and someone who will tell you the truth and not treat you like a new player this place is legit. I highly recommend.
