I booked LMS back in February 2026 to unpack a POD in May. I called probably 3x in between to verify things, and I'm so glad they didn't want to hang up on my nervous self. (This move has been a stressful one for me.) They called to confirm the night before, and on the morning of, my two gents (shout out to Ross and CJ!) showed up 30 mins early. EARLY! That's unheard of in this day and age. I was impressed!!!! It took these two about 3hrs to unload our 16ft POD. I wasn't aware, but they do a 10% military discount. (We paid cash to avoid the 3% card fee.) There was a $100 deposit at the time of booking, which came off our bill. And of course, we tipped--which they are allowed to accept. (Thanks Ken for being an amazing owner that allows that!) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LMS for your moving needs. While this move was out of pocket for us, I hope that they're contracted with the military for our next (and FINAL, hallelujah) move. Ross and CJ, much love to you both. Mr. Kenneth Jackson and the young men whom assisted in transporting my belongings from my former address into my new apartment were outstanding. They were punctual, professional, respectful, efficient, nothing was broken, or scratched. Prior to their arrival I was nervous and feeling emotional with concerns regarding will anything get broken, scratched, etc, however, when they arrived, the nervousness and concerns I was experiencing quickly subsided. Kenneth's team of guys helped us unpack 26yrs of boxes & furniture from our moving PODs into our new home in New Bern. The guys were respectful, reliable and responsible. They worked non-stop for 4hrs unpacking two PODS. They placed the boxes and furniture exactly where I asked and even moved a couple of items. They also had to navigate carrying a large sofa up the stairs to our loft...like narrow stairs with tight turns...ie: the Friends episode with Ross & Chandler trying to carry a sofa up a narrow stairwell...pivot, pivot, pivot! We needed a move that consisted of two steps: one to a storage facility and one to a residence in another town. Loacal Moving LLC accomodated us over several days, helped us pack part of our possessions in preparation for both moves and unloaded and set us up in the new residence. Kenny deserves ALL THE STARS! I had a super last-minute move from Georgia to the coast of NC (long story #pandemic problems). I think I was still in denial, so I didn't schedule movers (or a storage facility) until the night before I had to return the packed-to-the-gills rental truck. Kenny and his team answered the call and jumped into action! They arrived promptly (early), unlocked the truck and got to work right away. The UHaul was not efficiently packed in GA (another long story -- the door wouldn't even open all the way up!!) but it made no difference to these guys. They filled my 10 x 20 space, even giving me an aisle so I can reach all my hastily-packed boxes. They laughed and joked, and gave me encouragement through my tears. These guys helped my parents move a large piano and did an excellent job. Drove 45 minutes to South River to look at it and move it, and when they realized they didn't have the right crew (again LARGE piano), they came back the next day with extra guys rather than rush and try and get it done.
