If you are looking for great BBQ, Jordan's is your place. The atmosphere is fun, homey, and very relaxed. The nicest folks here to welcome and serve you, too! Getting a server to take your order can take longer than a usual restaurant pace, so don't hesitate to flag down an attendant to put your order in. Again, it's very relaxed here- it's all about the food, and it's apparent how much love and time has gone into the foods. From the beef and baby back ribs, sausage, and pulled pork, all are so well made and super delicious. Let me tell ya, when people say "fall off the bone," Jordan's baby back ribs truly do fall off the bone! The portions are just right, and don't sleep on their side dishes either! I highly recommend their potato salad, mac and cheese, and their highly addictive fried okra. Be sure to request a side of ranch dressing to dip the okra in, too. This BBQ is slow Smoked? Then why did mine taste like lighter fluid? I ordered pork and I immediately noticed that it was very "wet." Then a portion of it tasted like starter fluid. Maybe it was wet/damp in an attempt to rinse it. In any case, it was awful, and inedible. read more

We live extremely close to this joint and finally tried it. Can't believe it took us so long to go in because this is one of the best meals I've had since moving to Cleveland 3 weeks ago. I personally am picky about BBQ because my dad also owns a restaurant that serves BBQ, but this place was just spot on. It all was just good, hearty food. The BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy, and all the meat was so tender, not dried out, and it hit the spot. I've never had fried pickles before but my husband had me try them here, and WOW they were amazing. Overall, everything was perfect for us. I left so happy. Another thing I want to point out is the service. Our server was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. They definitely put more thought and attention into decorating the place than they did in service and food. There was absolutely zero seasoning in the food. The coleslaw was literally raw cabbage, and nothing else- no seasoning, no salt, nothing. The potato salad was like eating a mouthful of mayonnaise with a chunk of undercooked potato. The pulled pork was dry with no flavor. The sausage link was good, but that's not really something they can take ownership of since they don't actually make the sausage there, they just warm it up. read more

Local favorite! Like walking into an old cabin where your great uncle has been smoking a hog in the back yard all day. You can't pass by on Stuart Rd without noticing that delectable smoked meat aroma. Great place for lunch & dinner. My go-to is a half order of pulled pork nachos with spicy bbq sauce. Jordan's is a Cleveland, TN staple. Ever since I was younger, we'd go to Jordan's then to Shake Shack for milk shakes. I lived in Cleveland for three years, but this was my first visit to Jordan's. While you either love or hate the decor, we found it to have a very small town feel. The food and service was good, but the bbq definitely wasn't the best I've ever had. I took most of my bbq home, while there was a lot of food I think it's because the sides and bread were better than the meat. Make sure you seat yourself, we stood around for a minute before we were told to sit anywhere. They were less than have full at noon on a Friday and most patrons seemed to be regulars. read more

My significant other came here with his brother on a trip from Illinois last summer on a guys trip. He remembered liking what he had gotten and so we visited last night on our trip down south. We were both okay with our meals. There were HUGE portions, although the red beans and rice were awful. I mean, he knows his RB's & R and he couldn't even eat it. Guys, we're not writing this to be negative, it's so you can fix the problem. The customer service was so-so. The cute blonde was worried about the customers before us and their missing bill so that became priority to talk about with another gal there instead of our service. Again, not a slam but a way to encourage better service. If we are in this area we might try it again, but hopefully there are just a few new changes. I love great BBQ and go to all the highly rated places when I travel to other cities. This place is in the back yard so it becomes a good lunch spot. They have smoked pull pork as their main dish. But it might be a little too smoked as I generally have heart burn later in the night. But as a BBQ restaurant, it does not have a big enough menu to get me back for dinners. Bake beans are more of pork & beans with a little brown sugar, nothing great. The location on the hill top is good location for lunch and plenty of parking. It would be good if they paved the rest of the parking area. Inside you will find a random bunch of items on the wall and ceiling from the general area. Oddly, the best item on the menu they have is the banana pudding. It's close to what my mom made. Overall, not a bad place, great for lunch but dinners will be more filling elsewhere. I found this restaurant one day going to the YMCA. I like getting there bar b q sandwich with cole slaw. They will ask you if you want hot slaw or cole slaw on your BBQ sandwich. They were very attentive to my drink as always which is very important to me. Sometimes I will get their baked beans as a side like I did today. Check out the picture of my meal before I ate it. Disgusting Went in 5-9-2020. Waitress arrived with a nasty rag and spray, wiped the top page of a 6 sided menu, sprayed the table and made two passes with the nasty rag. Drink order.... small tea in a to go.. brought back a large reusable, no straw. Utensils were metal, all condiments were community. Glass salt and pepper shakers, plastic ketchup, hot sauce, I thought everything would be in single use packets. No masks, wait staff or cook. I did not eat or even drink the tea. The aroma outside this building is fantastically scrumptious! Smoky bbq scents slap you silly. The meat though, was surprisingly lackluster. The pulled pork did have a subtle smoky flavor, but was lacking seasoning and the meat itself had little flavor. The pulled beef also had very little flavor and zero seasoning. I used to live in the area in the 90s and their bbq had such a great smoked flavor. I thought I would stop in again. The bbq potato with pulled pork was not the same. Very mushy and potato too much butter (which is normally not a bad thing) but the ambiance will never bring me back again. I guess they have decided to go political and cater to only a specific audience? I rolled my eyes at the multiple "guns are welcome" signs. Not sure if they are frequently robbed or it was a 2nd amendment thing , either way, thought it was weirdly unnecessary to have more than one sign. What I do not understand is why there is a sign where you pay that says, paraphrasing, Free Bibles offered (English). What the heck does that mean? A Bible instead of a menu? We don't want Christians who don't speak English? I thought about asking for the Aramaic Bible version since Jesus didn't speak English. If I had seen that sign before I ate, I would have turned around and walked out. Will never be back unless they provide a satisfactory explanation. So I've given Jordan's two tries based on recommendations of locals. I came away disappointed both times. On the first trip I got the ribs, hot slaw, and potato salad. Ribs are just okay. Not much meat on the bones. If they used a dry rub it wasn't evident. All I tasted was smoke. Hot slaw was decent. Potato salad looked and tasted like it came from Walmart. Second time I got the loaded baked potato with pulled pork. The pulled pork is supposed to be their specialty. Again, all I tasted was smoke. Actually so much so that it almost tasted like a chemical of some sort or gasoline (weird right?). The potato was a good size and had the meat been better it would have been a good meal. Both visits I started with a cup of chili which is surprisingly good. The banana pudding is really good, one of the best I've had. And as another reviewer said they need more bbq sauce choices. The sweet is okay but the spicy leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Menu- very simple. pulled pork or beef, sandwiches, ribs, sides, you know the deal. Service- love me some southern hospitality. I rocked some sweet tea and never saw the bottom of my cup. That's what I'm talking about! Food- I went with the pulled pork sandwich which came with chips, that ended up being onion rings (score) slaw and a pickle. My co-workers got the BIG stuffed potatoes or a mini-heart attack as they referred to them. The pulled pork was a little dry, though the sauce did help. My co-workers really liked their potatoes. With chicken (or pork) cheese, butter, and sour cream, I could see why they did. Overall- nice little joint with very reasonable prices (sandwich combo $5, potatoes were about the same). I could smell the food and burning wood. I ordered my food to go so I can't comment on actually eating in the restaurant. I ordered the pulled chicken breast, baked apples, and coleslaw. I tried the pulled chicken with and without the BBQ sauce (. You really can't go wrong either way. The meat has plenty of moisture, so it won't be dry. The sauce (I had mild) wasn't too tangy or sweet. I'm not sure if its original, but whatever the case, it was pretty delicious. The baked apples. Omg. They still had the skin on them! They were absolutely delicious! I think it's usually pretty hard to mess up something as simple as coleslaw. Jordan's got it right.
