Passing through and found this great spot for dinner tonight. Patio was full sadly so we sat inside. Camden (spelling?) was a great server with lots of good picks. The bar staff was so helpful too in finding a drink that I'd like. We started with a house salad with a garlic buttermilk dressing. The buttermilk fried chicken and Mac & cheese was delicious. My hubby got the catfish and potato chips were pretty awesome too. No room for dessert sadly. read more

Visiting from out of state and decided to try Aubrey's at the recommendation of a local. As is the norm, our pups were with us so we opted to seat outdoors so they could join us. Decent little patio area with table & chairs that are substantial & intentional feeling. Our server greeted us warmly and very helpful offering samples before committing to a beer on their extensive beer list. The food menu provided plenty of options & our server gave suggestions to accommodate us. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was as ordered, flavorful & plenty of it. This is a really nice place. Friendly and clean. Always crowded so that's telling ya something. They have a Thunder Road burger that sounded so good but wasn't in the mood for a burger so I asked if they would make it with grilled chicken. They said no problem. It was delicious! Their fries are fantastic. Hubby always gets a burger and i always happy with it. Big burger, juicy with ample toppings. We've been there a couple times and it's aways consistently good. read more

Visiting my mom yesterday in Cleveland and she wanted a steak for dinner so we went to this local establishment. The service is always good and the food delicious. Ask to sit in the section assigned to Sarah Scott. She was very professional and kind. We split the 16oz ribeye and ordered an extra baked potato. Got a piece of cheesecake for later. Visited Aubrey's in Cleveland Saturday and sat on the patio. The patio is nice and the food is good. However, allowing patrons to chain-smoke in a dining area is very disappointing. Watching people put cigarette butts out on tables where others eat is simply nasty, and it's not healthy for families or children to breathe secondhand smoke while trying to enjoy a meal. Management needs to do better with the patio. (3 stars) read more

In town visiting family and I popped in there tonight because my Mom wanted their rattlesnake pasta. So I quickly ordered 3 different pasta dishes for carry-out. From beginning to end the service was awesome. I observed a manager working hard with the staff and everyone was busy with a full restaurant. Food was readly quickly and it was really good! Our first visit there today. Service was great but was very disappointed in my order as the chicken fingers were barely warm . My baked potato was hot as was my broccoli so I have to assume the chicken fingers were cooked much earlier and just sat around until my order was turned in. So much for the concept of freshly cooked food. I brought most home and will probably add them to a salad tomorrow. read more

We are visiting from out of town and decided to try Aubrey's! We were impressed! We had about a 10 minute wait for a table, because we came at dinner time. Our waiter Caeden was awesome! I ordered chicken tenders, and 2 kids meals to go. They set my order on the counter and someone else took it. Which some may say is not the fault of the restaurant but their process of leaving people's food in a bag on the counter for anyone to take or add something bad to it is something to be said. Then they quickly made me a new order. When I got home the chicken tenders were burnt and inedible. The fries were good but this whole experience was really not good. read more

Im in a family of six. I've been here twice. And both times the food was disappointing. I tried all 6 of the dishes me and my family ordered. Both times. And every single time the food was not good. My husband picked out this restaurant for us to try as we were visiting Cleveland. It was an easy drive from the Hampton Inn Hotel we were staying at. We got there shortly after 5 and were seated Right away. Our server was friendly and personable. The restaurant had a urban vibe to it. We were served 1/2 loaf of brown bread and small mound of butter. The bread tasted like It had a light sweet glaze on the top but it was tasty. My husband ordered the haystack pasta with chicken. He thought it was bland so I tasted it and thought it tasted fine. Cream sauces aren't overly spiced. He added a bit of salt and pepper and said it tasted better. (We were heading north from being in FL where he was putting hot sauce on everything so I am sure a white cream sauce was a little bland) I was hungry for a bar burger so thought I would try the Thunder Road burger that was dressed with homemade pimento cheese, tobacco onions and sliced jalapeños. This was a large burger that was flame grilled and very tasty. There were a series of sides to choose from as the burger came with one side. I like to try things I do t normally see on a menu so I chose the squash casserole for my side. It was delicious. 1/2 the burger and squash came back to the hotel room with me. I finished off my meal for dinner the next night and it was still just as tasty. I did not realize that this is a chain restaurant so we may find ourselves at another one sometime in our travels. read more

Great sit down chain restaurant located not too far off the highway. Employees were so nice & attentive. Fellow patrons were also so nice& friendly. We got the chicken fingers & grilled chicken Asian salad. Everything was good - except next time I would eat to ask for the dressing the side and to skip (or have less of) the Asian crunchy noodles. Went to Aubrey's with family around 12:30pm on a Saturday and the parking lot was JAM PACKED! We were seated right away, but be prepared to walk a ways because the parking lot gets full. We started off with waters and sweet teas, which were quite disappointing. The sweet teas were watered down, tasteless, and really missed the mark. Even after adding lemon and sugar. We ordered chicken tenders for an appetizer, which were okay. Not sure I'd order them again. Family ordered the prime rib with sautéed mushrooms and onions. Everything was delicious! I ordered the haystack pasta which was okay. Adding a little salt and pepper leveled it up a notch. The restaurant is spacious and clean. I think this constitutes as a place to grab a steak or maybe a sandwich, but it missed it with the other items for me. I also had a side caesar salad which was clearly prepped a day or two in advance and baked potato soup that had a weird taste. read more

It gives an 'O'Charelys' exterior vibe, but DO NOT BE FOOLED. This place is a GEM!! We are foodies and this rated NUMBER 1 on this trip!! We had the Thunder Road Burger, Patty Melt, and Fish and Chips. Everything was AMAZING. Service was top notch; she was so sweet and kind! The food was hot and fresh. There's a really cool bar at the front that looks like it'd be a great place to unwind and relax. Can't wait to get back here!! If you like fish and chips- DO NOT MISS IT HERE! That tartar sauce! Are here today 7 July 2023. Ordered the Strawberry Salad. By far the best salad I have ever had. I hate blue cheese but the blue cheese made the salad. Wife and daughter ordered baked potatoes and said they were cooked perfectly. Sad that this place isn't closer to home. Food 5* Service 4* Cleanliness 3*. If you want to know how clean a restaurant is go see their bathroom. Clean but could have been cleaner. We were in Cleveland for a funeral and were looking for somewhere to eat dinner on our final night in town. We chose Aubrey's because of the reviews and because it always seemed to have a good sized crowd there. Thought they were really busy, even at 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday, we were greeted and seated nearly immediately. The restaurant was quite busy, but service was still on par. They brought complimentary bread which was hot and tasted really good. I ordered the steak with mash potatoes, and my husband ordered nachos and a burger. The nachos were HUGE. They tasted okay, but weren't my favorite I've had. My husband loved them, however. So, I guess it's based on particular preference. He enjoyed his burger and said that it was cooked well. The steak was cooked well, but I wasn't a huge fan of the mashed potatoes. I'd probably choose another side were I to go again. Over all, were I in the area, I'd go again. Check them out! read more

Probably the best steakhouse I've had in Cleveland thus far. I got the ribeye which was very tender and bursting with flavor. Cooked perfectly with just a little bit of pink on the inside. The yukon gold mashed potatoes were a creamy delight that just melted in your mouth. Wasn't going to get dessert, but my server recommended the key lime pie. It was a delicate blend of sweet and sour, as a key lime pie should be. Couldn't finish it as the key lime pie was huge but tasted just as good the next day. It's a little bit more pricey than a place like Cheddar's, but it was worth it. I'll be back. read more

This review is based on a take out order that I ordered online to pick up. I was staying at the Hampton Inn in Cleveland and this place is where they recommended to eat. I got the steak on a stick with a side of broccoli and sweet tea Togo and when I went to pick it up, I was shocked at the portion size! I paid $24 total for my meal (food, drink, and 10% tip on Togo- I tip more when I eat in, I promise lol). I've attached a photo of what I got and the receipt of my online order so you can see for yourself! I'm a tiny gal and can't even imagine this filling up a grown man that orders this! The steak on a stick tasted awesome but won't fill up even a baby bird! Granted, portion size aside, the steak was cooked really well; seasoned and perfect temperature. Aubrey's always has excellent food, great service, a clean restaurant, etc., BUT the best thing about Aubrey's is the Caramel Cheesecake. We have eaten cheesecake from NYC to Boston, Florida, Europe, etc., and this is consistently the best anyone in our family has ever tasted. The caramel sauce is excellent (tastes like a melted "Sugar Daddy" and this is everyone in our family's choice for a birthday treat. If you dine-in, you receive a free slice for your birthday (you can select any dessert, but this is the BEST) but we have just started ordering a whole cheesecake and bringing it home for the birthday celebration. Meh, it's Aubrey's. All of them are not terrible, but certainly none are "good". The food, service, ambiance... They're all kinda just Meh! It's as if you can see what they were going for, and then the corporate office was like, nah, that's a lot of work, it's food, they'll eat it. Don't worry about making any of it the best, meh is good enough for Tennesseeans. They're not wrong in some instances, but it could be so much better if they'd put in a little more effort from the corporate side of things.
