I am so grossed out when the air ducts above your food are so disgusting. Three of us ate there & all I can say is Yuck!

This place gets a solid 4. It seems that the pork potatoes aren't what they used to be. The amount of butter, and sour cream seems skimpy compared to the days of old. The BBQ potato is supposed to sing, not be lacking on butter and sour cream. This was once a 5, and I hope they can get back there: I also ordered the white beans and cornbread. The beans were lukewarm warm, and didn't seem to be seasoned. I hope they get things together. Chattanooga needs a place to get good BBQ and beans and cornbread. read more

Regarding a ToGo order. When I got back this our food, I discovered mistakes on my receipt. First, I was charged for add ons I didn't order. One plate had a BBQ sandwich and regular baked potato with butter and sour cream. I was charged about $4 extra for a loaded Baked potato that my wife didn't want or order. It had cheese on it that we didn't order and my wife didn't eat. I ordered fried pickles. The elderly cashier asked which sauce I wanted. I asked her which sauce came with that dish and she said Ranch Dressing. I replied ok. I was charged for extra Ranch dressing that I did not order. The fried pickles were so salty we had to throw them out with the baked potato. I was also charged for extra dressing I did not order carry. I don't want a refund by would like to see the restaurant improve because there aren't many choices in Northeast Hamilton County and I would hate to see them go under. Do not order carry out food from them until they change employees. The BBQ sandwiches were good according to those who ordered them. read more

Great food! Not great for takeout. The woman at the front was a little rude to my husband but he brushed it off, only to get home missing part of our order. I called to get it refunded and they refused without the card in person, so I drove all the way back to pick up the food they forgot to put in the bag. The food is amazing and service is usually great, just a bad day for someone working at the front (maybe both of us). read more

What a lucky find!! We are new to the area and have been exploring the restaurants in the surrounding areas and happened to stop by this one!! The food was fantastic! I had the catfish and my partner had the smoked sausage sandwich. We both had sweet tea. Everything was delicious. My catfish was cooked to perfection. And the side of potato salad and greens was amazing. My partner had onion rings for his side. They were tasty, but a little over cooked. The service was excellent. One woman took care of the entire dining room! And she did a wonderful job! The restaurant is very cute. Nice sized, country decor, and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it! read more

Loved this place! Service was good and friendly. We ate outside on the porch and enjoyed the ambiance. We had fried pickles, brisket, ribs, Mac-n-cheese, and green beans. It was so good! After we treated ourselves to peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream, also very yummy. read more

Not disappointed on my last visit or any of them for that matter. Best BBQ in town without question. Always consistent and some of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a restaurant. Fast to flush too! I can recommend the wings, brisket, any potato, burgers, Texas fries and the first stahl. Love supporting local restaurants - especially ones that give back to the community and have pride in their product and their service. I can also recommend sitting outside and getting the waft of brisket and wings while sipping the best sweet tea in the world. I see why they didn't put a port-a-potty out there. This place is in the country.... I will be honest I'm not a big fan of Bbq places.. because you usually get the same thing same flavor, but I decided i would give it a try. They have a really good selection of burgers. The one that caught my eye was the 58 burger which comes with bacon cheddar cheese fried onion petals and bbq sauce. they switched the cheddar with fried pimento cheese.... and dill pickles...oh my!! It was amazing. Their Carolina bbq sauce is amazing. but they have more to choose from. I will definitely go back and try a salad the next time. but for a place out away from a lot of things ..it's definitely worth it.. (side note.. I love places that are different .. There are not many restaurants on this side of town. This building has had several failed BBQ restaurants, but Choo Choo Smokehouse is by far the best! This is some of the best BBQ (especially brisket) I have had in the area. My family is from Memphis, so we know BBQ! The staff is super sweet and friendly, and I love the cozy atmosphere. read more

Ate there a few weeks ago on Saturday 8/14. Food was pretty impressive. Waitress was friendly and did a great job. I couldn't complain. So I was happy to go back a couple weeks later on Sunday 8/22 to order food to bring back home. Slaw was plain and tasteless, potatoe salad was plain and lacking any flavor, baked beans were decent. Ordered ribs and brisket. Ribs were nearly disgusting. At the end of the meal I had more bone and gristle left on my plate than you can imagine. Also, the brisket was about 90% fat and was inedible. I was sick nearly immediately after attempting to eat. Meal was a complete waste of time and money. I will not be back again. read more
