I called the Murrieta office around 9am on 08/21/24 and the woman who answered was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was a new client and wanted to schedule a consultation she offered November dates and when I asked what would I do if I get sick prior to that date she offhandedly said "go to the emergency room or get another provider" if I could give this office 0 stars I would. Hope no one treats her as rudely as she treated me. Will be changing to a different doctor. Seeing the other reviews, they should consider having some empathy training for the front desk. read more

Zyda (supposedly the office manager) is an absolute nightmare. Inappropriately, Zyda said to me "mam if you don't calm down you're gonna be the one that needs help"... She accused my partner of not taking his medication correctly and that he was taking too much. He takes medicine for his high blood pressure and a non controlled for his anxiety.... He couldn't abuse those if he wanted too. Uneducated AND falsely accusing patients.. that sounds like a liability.... Dr. Martinez is a wonderful doctor and it's unfortunate that his office staff is throwing his reputation down the toilet because patients are being mistreated. I no longer am a patient here, due primarily to the PA. After my yearly check up I had my labs. I gave it plenty of time for the office to respond. They never did I had to call them. They called back, left a voicemail. The PA never addressed my concern which we spoke about at my visit. I get you're busy, too many patients to remember. But you need to come up with a system you remember what the patient had concerns about. I've since left and am happy at my new doctor office. read more

Horrible bedside manner. I went in there Because I needed a prescription filled and they never answer there calls. I was feeling very anxious and depressed and needed someone to listen. The nurse practitioner was very rude and condescending I got up and left. About 15 minutes later the police showed up at my door. The police told me they do this often and to report them to the medical board. Dr Martinez is so busy I don't think he is aware of what is going on. He is a knowledgeable Dr, but after what they put me through I am done. It worked out in my favor. Also, the pharmacy Walgreens I go to told me they have to keep sending them refill request because they never answer back in a timely manner. read more

The also told me the doctor wanted me get blood work to go to quest lab.. and quest laboratory they don't have any orders from my doctor; one week late i when to pick my new prescription they also don't have any new prescription for me. I've been going to the same doctor but never seen the actual doctor. My nurse practitioner Nancy Has been wonderful and answered any questions I have ever had for any test results and always on time. Unfortunately she is gone and no longer works for Dr. George Martinez. Since then they have two other nurse practitioners Whom I've only seen once because the last three appointments I've had they keep calling me and canceling my appointment last minute. I take days off and they call me a day before and cancel my appointment and refuse to give me my blood results on the phone. They are absolutely horrible and do not care about their patients. In the past Nancy has given me my results on the phone but now they refuse to give me my results and keep canceling my appointment. I am reporting them to my insurance company to never recommend them to anybody and will never go back again... read more

I'm sorry to leave this but; This place is everything and more then what you hate about going to see the doctor. First of all the people at the front desk are really rude. The three appointments I've had there took over an hour to be seen every time. Once you sit out in the front lobby area for over 20 minutes they call you in the back and make you just sit in a room by yourself for another 45 minutes to an hour. Forget about having them fill one of your prescriptions that you need just to get a hold of them it takes at least a week and numerous phone calls. Every time I've been there I only dealt with his nurse practitioner, not him. He finally called me back after a week and a half About the prescription I needed to be filled. He was a total dick and extremely rude and treated me like shit. This guy wants your money he doesn't give a shit about you or your health. read more

A one star rating is too good for this staff. I walked in as a first appointment of the day with no one in the waiting area and with absolutely not one staff was wearing a mask yet I was wearing one at the moment I asked, "so are we required to wear a mask or no?" this is when things immediately got heated. The two individuals at the receptionist counter put on their mask while the other two staff went back to their records area, still with no masks on. The manager instantly became very aggressive and rude as she jumped on me as though I had some nerve asking them anything. She then told me that I had a attitude yesterday when I dropped of my information packed because I put "NA" on every space on one form that was asking questions that had nothing to do with health or medical. The form did say to mark any question with "NA" if it doesn't apply. I asked her to please explain to me, how is that giving an attitude? Well let's just say that they seem to get much pleasure out of dictatorship and they obviously feel it is best to come off as extremely abrasive and authoritarian to new customers. Wow, this front desk is amazingly bad. I scheduled an appointment and they said they would never schedule it for this is time. I had my mom set up for an ear cleaning so now I have to reschedule the hearing test because the Dr needs to clean her ears first. 2nd time this has happened. They have lies and accused me of lying? They get very aggressive on the phone when they screw up. Blame you and always say "we would never do that." For prescriptions. They are the worst. Even the pharmacist told me "Uh you'll need to call their office because they almost never call us back or respond to our prescription requests" the pharmacist said Dr Martinez is really the worst at prescriptions and refills. The Hearing center emailed information to Dr Martinez's office. I told the receptionist this. Her response was "we can't receive pictures ". I told her I was sitting right there when they sent it with the picture of her ear canal. Gave her the date and time. She immediately said "like I said we don't accept pictures " I said that makes no sense. Your office sent me to this ear doctor and you don't accept emails with pictures from him?? WTF?? read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Martinez for over 5 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. His staff is always professional and courteous. Unlike other doctors, Dr. Martinez spends a lot of time on each visit. He explains in detail any test results and allows you to ask questions. He encourages you to participate in developing your health plan. He has shown he cares about my health and well being. Since Covid I have had to see several specialists. His office is very good about requesting referrals in a timely manner. His office is busy, but I have not been made to wait an unreasonable amount of time before being seen. read more

Dr. Martinez failed to sign and date a prescription that requires both for it to be filled by any pharmacy. Day 2 and prescription still not filled. I just spent many hours and days commuting from OC to the IE to care for a very ill family member in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. Since the doctor is a 1 to 2 hour drive, it is very difficult to take time off work and drive out there for a 2nd time since the doctor's office is not available outside of regular hours. Doctor is difficult to reach and he took more time to explain to me why a Tylenol based alternative was acceptable for a patient in severe pain who is supposed to have a narcotic. Instead of rectifying his over sight and lack of attention to detail, he is still stalling. I am told that the prescription will be mailed the same day. After 5PM, I get a phone call from an unavailable number, which I usually don't answer. When I check the message, it's someone from Dr. Martinez's office asking me for MORE information. I call the office back within 3 minutes, the answering tells me that someone will call me back. No one called me back. I follow up the next morning and I'm told the Dr. needs to speak to me but will not be available until the afternoon. Doctor calls me back today. He said he will mail prescription. I asked if he could send via delivery service for Saturday delivery since it was his error and I would have had this filled 3 days ago. Instead of rectifying his mistake, he said he would "try", which basically meant I'm SOL. Meanwhile, the geriatric patient has to endure pain and discomfort. Patient suffers from Dr. Martinez's mistake. Unexceptionable. read more

Ended up going in for a checkup and ended up paying a ton of money because I asked a question that is out of the normal checkup. This was the most expensive doctor checkup I ever had. Then trying to get in touch with anyone to pay a bill was impossible, I just ended up mailing payment. Don't recommend using this office in Murrieta. read more

This office staff is the worst. I showed up with the wrong kind of mask. I never refused to wear a mask. In fact, I was wearing a cloth mask. They told me that was not sufficient. I asked if they could provide me with a sufficient mask, after all they are a doctor's office and they have lots of them in the back; they said they would not provide one to me. Honestly, they are just super rude and obviously could care less about my health. I scheduled to take work off early to make this appointment. So, then I left to get a proper mask. I came back and asked for a copy of my recent blood test so I can take it to a new doctor. They said they could not provide it too me. I said not true, I am making a records request. They said then said they have 10 days to provide that to me. If there is something time sensitive associated with my blood work, I will file a civil suit against this physician and the staff. read more

Dr Jorge Martinez has been mostly good for me. I've shown his staff respect and they always go above and beyond for me. Dr. Martinez is a very conservative physician, so it often looks like he or his office is slow to respond so keep this in mind. It is a very busy office; at least 16 people work there. read more

I would give this doctors office zero stars if I could, Took three weeks to schedule an appointment after my insurance selected this doctor for myself, when my wife called to schedule an appointment they were very rude to her and told her that they will not be taking any new patients, my wife told the lady on the phone that we and they really had no choice because our Insurance had assigned me to them, with that being said every interaction with the doctors office staff has been terrible from the front desk people to the people in the back, I will admit Dr. Nancy who works out of there is a great doctor and a very nice lady, but other than that every single person there is rude and has a terrible attitude, it seems as if everybody in there has a real problem with communicating respectfully and calmly with others, if you have any disagreements, concerns, or questions with what they are telling you they immediately threaten to hang up the phone on you or threaten to not let you be seen, if you have a choice of choosing your doctors office I would recommend you definitely do not use this place, their customer service is absolutely terrible close to disgusting, I very rarely leave yelp reviews, I know a lot of times people will use them just to get back at businesses or make them look bad, but this is not the case here, every single interaction I've had with this doctors office has just been absolutely terrible and at times laughable for the fact that you would assume you were on some type of reality television show that is trying to test your patience, let this be a friendly warning to anybody who might be considering signing up for this pain in the ass of a doctors office. read more

Dr. Jorge Martinez has been my primary care physician for approximately four years. I find that he is very competent, and caring. He does have many Spanish speaking patients, as do most doctors in the area. After all, this is Southern California. He also has many patients from many nations. We do still live in a melting pot, I believe. I also find Dr. Martinez's staff kind and helpful, and not at all as described in another review. Anyone can make too many copies from copies. (4/2013) I've talked to the office operator and seems like she is the same person for patient help, too. I asked her questions and she started raising voice on me. So, politely, I asked her not to raise her voice. her response was " Because you were asking the same question twice". Now, I am afraid to ask any other question. it may be the same question again and I do not know what she'll do. I am not coming back to that clinic again.
