Our home was built in 1991 and the windows were completely rotten less than ten years later (Jeld-Wen - think they went bankrupt but may be out ther again). I searched every available window company and couldn't believe the offering that K&W offered. We chose WeatherShield mainly since it was so rare to be able to pick the wood type of the windows - no pine, the wood is just too soft. We replaced all of our windows with K&W and we love having windows the are a complete match to all or our trim. A few years later we added an addition. This time we didn't have to do research, we knew exactly where to go and the windows to use. I'm going to tell you that they are busy but when you are with Tim Lund or Doug Metz from K&W, you are all they are thinking about. My advice to anyone is don't make a decision until you have seen what K&W can offer. I think you will be much more impressed that the "one-company" window offerings. Go see all that they offer, then make the decision this is right for you. They will show you everything and even show you the competitor's products. We thought we would enjoy it but didn't realize just how nice it was really going to be. The crew was professional and wasted no time in getting to it. In addition to the garage they also installed a new floor in our screened porch. That turned out equally nice. Both projects were so nice we wished we had done this years ago. This was a 3 day project and even though we are 100 miles or so away we felt the cost was well worth it. Give them a try - you will not regret it! Ajay had 85ish at the time, and ALL were 5 stars! Now that our project is done, I can say he is great to work with. He listens carefully to what you say. He doesn't try to push something on you, instead he finds what you are looking for. We went almost entirely with his suggestions because they were so great. We completely gutted and remodeled a bathroom. It looks absolutely phenomenal! Ajay recommended a contractor he works with, Dave Moss of Wizbuilt. Excellent suggestion. Ajay made suggestions or passed on suggestions for all the sub-contractors. All were great to work with. Yes we had some delays, but that was due to a supply chain issue, not Ajay's fault. Ajay did an exceptional job communicating, which is a pet peeve of mine with many service providers. He did all the leg work with the vendors, making sure we had the products we needed when the subs and general needed them, except for two items referenced previously. Even with those, he kept us updated. I thought is pricing was very fair. When we received his final bill I thought he was also more than fair for the time he charged. I'm certain he spent more time working on our project than he billed! After checking if we were open to it, he made some suggestions for the rest of our house. These involved moving furniture around, changing some lighting and repainting. Easy peazy and made a huge difference in how open our house feels. We have a few more rearrangements to do, but need to de-clutter a bit to make it possible. Really pleased with his vision of our "space". We have a couple more remodel items to tackle, but need to wait to build up our funds. Ajay was very sensitive to this, often making suggestions that saved us money. We will call Ajay when we are ready to move forward on these, which is the highest recommendation we can give.
