WORST customer service experience I've ever had. A week and a half before our wedding the suit for my 6 year old nephew fell through and we went to Jos A Banks in Clifton Park and asked if we would be able to get a suit in time. They told us it would take a week but they could do it. They measured him for over 30 minutes and had him try on jackets, shirts and shoes for another 30 minutes. They assured us that when it came in if there was anything that didn't fit they'd be able to fix it right then and no matter what we'd walk out of the store with a perfect suit for him. The suit came in and was so small he couldn't even try parts of it on. They told us the only option was to remeasure him and they would overnight a suit to the store and bring it to us because we would already be at wedding events the next day. The man there was extremely rude to me throughout the process. The next day we got a call saying oops the suit never shipped and wasn't going to come in at all that day but not to worry they would drive it to us the day of the wedding! We were very upset. We were promised a bunch of options would be brought to us to ensure he had something perfect to wear. The wedding day came and they showed up an hour later than promised (only 2 hours before pictures were supposed to start). She brought only one suit and 2 shirts. The jacket was HUGE on him. So her solution was to use a dozen safety pins to pin it to his length. Those safety pins poked him through the whole ceremony and caused him to cry and have to be changed into other clothes immediately. The pants were so huge he looked like a clown. The shirt was so big she just rolled the sleeves up a bunch of times. They could NOT fit a suit on this kid after a combined 2 hours of measuring and making him try things on. They could NOT meet any deadline or promise they made to us. And they ruined our wedding day for a 6 year old boy who instead of matching the wedding party like intended had to be changed into his shorts and T-shirt for our wedding and photos. And worst of all they could NOT have been rudder or more unprofessional throughout the process. When I say we were actually laughed at when we voiced our struggles that is just the tip of the iceberg when it came to the terrible customer service. We returned the suit and told them how absolutely terrible he looked. Everyone at the store made it clear they did not care at all. All of our wedding guests, wedding venue and vendors were so disgusted by this they are guaranteeing us they will never use this company ever. read more

Went in 2 weeks before a wedding and asking if I was too late. Jay said "no, well help you out. "Spent 600$ on suit 2 shirts and 2 ties with alterations. Explained to jason that i wanted the suit to be slim fit when he was fitting me, he told me "it wont be skin tight but it will look good". Saturday before wedding he calls and tells me its ready. I go in on Sunday and Desiree is there, I try on suit and I'm unhappy. Jacket is too wide and pants are not slim fitting, Desiree says shell put a rush on alterations and have it ready for the wedding the following Saturday free of charge. Tuesday the manager calls and tells me they cant do full taper on pants before wedding but will take in from waist too knee around the thigh, bring in the jacket from the sides not the back like Desiree marked and to drop off for the rest after wedding (suit will be ready Thursday night). Friday i come in and Jason says bring in suit after wedding and they'll do all the alterations. They didn't do anything and suggested that I am lying because he was standing next to manager when he called me Tuesday and that they wouldn't do alterations without payment. Also told me Desiree does not know how to mark alterations!!!! Then why is she in store alone on weekend! ?? Asked where the manger was, "not here". Awesome!!!! Spent 600$ on something I don't like and will have to pay another tailor to alter since Ill never return to this store. Jason was unapologetic and just wanted me out of the store. He got his commission and well see if he tells the manager to call me like I requested. read more

Knowing that my son will have success with the variety of choices at Jos A Banks, we have visited various stores over the last couple of years. Although other experiences have been questionable, this store has by far and away the BEST customer service ever! Eric Noble took the time to help my son, but yet listened to what he 'wanted' and provided everything my son asked for and more!! What a pleasure doing business here!! We will most certainly be back!!! read more

So very disappointed with this store! Spent between $800-$900 between purchase of a mans suit, tailoring, purchase of men's shoes (3 pair) and rental of a vest with tie for prom. Was never told that the rental items need to be returned on a SUNDAY when I placed the rental order or at the time of pick up, only to be charged an extra $20 because I returned the rental on the Monday after Prom! SERIOUSLY?? They charge $12 extra on rental for handling in case there is damage which isn't even refundable! I am seriously upset, especially since the store would not have been returning the item to the bridal shop that they get them from before Monday. If I purchased it outright it would have been about the same cost if not cheaper. Contemplating whether I go back and make any other purchases in the future because of this ridiculous way of making extra money off people! read more

Amazing service. The staff really take their time to make sure you feel great and comfortable. Can't say enough good things.

Walked in the door today at Jos. A Bank to see if we could buy suits for my wedding which is coming up in two months. A gentleman named Dustin "helped" us. He started into his sales pitch about high end suits when my fiance (without being rude or interrupting him) let him know that our budget would be on the lower end. Dustin rudely told her to let him finish and then proceeded to continue on his pitch. A minute later, as Dustin went on into his pitch about the middle-tier suits (which were in the $700 range), my groomsman who was there reiterated the fact that our budget was lower than that, and Dustin, this time more agitated than the last, told my groomsman to let him finish. After his sales pitch was finally finished, we told him our budget was in the $200-300 range - Dustin then told us dismissively to "go to J.C. Penney." Throughout this whole 2 minute interaction, Dustin was exceedingly rude and made us feel as if we were worthless. I would recommend with every fiber of my being that anyone interested in getting a suit in the Clifton Park area avoid this Jos. A Bank at all costs, unless you enjoy dealing with patronizing staff members. It turns out that Dustin was the store supervisor, so it would appear that this cavalier and contemptuous attitude is accepted and rewarded at this store. After our ordeal, we proceeded to go over to Men's Wearhouse right around the corner, where the staff was EXTREMELY helpful, and ended up getting a great deal on $400 suits. read more

Had a 6 person wedding party. Went in 2 months in advance. We didn't rent anything, we all BOUGHT suits. Spent over $3,500 between all party members. We all had to go to their store 5+ times. Got fitted initially and 2 of 5 suits came in the right way before altercations. 3rd visit was to get the 4 other suits all fitted and sized again. 4th time visit was to get altercations, 2 of the 6 people had pants ordered that when altered would have been pocket to pocket and zipper all in the same spot. 1 suit was to be altered for $120 and they were only NOT going to touch 1 seam in the jacket. When we went to pick up the suits, 2 of them were sent out WITHOUT garment bags for their suits. 2 of the 6 white collared shirts were not ordered. I would NEVER recommend this establishment to anyone for their wedding event or even more so to buy any of their products. Staff has no knowledge or care for their customers. The name attached to our party, myself the groom, was not spelled right and 4 of the other 5 names were not even correct or even close to correct. WORST decision ever made and I hope with this post that no one else will have to go through the mishaps on already one of the most stressful times of life. read more
