I had a couple of items to repair, both was replacing 2 zippers. A jacket and shorts. Anna was terrific! At the time, I went to several places in Albany and started working my way up. I said let me try Guilderland. Nobody had zippers. Y'all blamed it on one thing or another or they weren't open, one blamed it on COVID , so I thought that's my last chance and she had a drawer full of zippers!!! Came out with a couple matched it up. It was fabulous. I was so happy! A week later picked it up. You wouldn't even know that they were changed. I recommend the Urban Tailor on Western Avenue. She does everything for alterations. Took pants into be hemmed up asked them to not remove tags or spare buttons. They took all the tags off my super expensive pants and kept the bag of buttons. Never going back again, they can't follow simple instructions. They also knew I was upset when I picked them up and offered no discount for their mistake. I don't recommend going here. read more

Woman told me about a week to re-sew a pant hem that fell out. That's fine I guess. I don't see why that would take a whole week. But when it's done, you should probably CALL THE CUSTOMER BACK and tell them you're done. Don't expect us to just know. read more

I recently found a pair of my favorite wool trousers and noticed that the moths had made a few holes in them. I brought them to the Urban Tailor and in 2 days she had them looking like new again. She patched the holes which were in the front of the trousers and you couldn't see any patches. They blended in with the dark fabric beautifully. I highly recommend the Urban Tailor. DO NOT USE THIS WOMAN. For my best friends wedding, I trusted Urban Tailor NY in Guilderland to alter my dress. I have used this woman before for other weddings. I gave the dress to the woman over a month ago, and I was picking it up today (the wedding is Friday). She not only didn't take out the dress like I requested, she only hemmed half of my dress. I know people make mistakes, but I was told I was too fat for my dress, and that she could do nothing until I was smaller. My mom told her to fix the dress, and she said she had people on her priority list, that it wouldn't be finished until Friday afternoon aka wedding day!This woman promised me a dress in which she never had confidence of fixing. After putting me in tears, we finally left and went to David's Bridal, and I cannot say more great things about them. The ladies took me in, put me in all of the slate blue dresses they had in my size, and we successfully found one. This woman shamed me, and is so awful. read more

Recently had to buy a new suit for a funeral, and the store I bought my suit at wouldn't not be able to have it hemmed in time. I figured I would try here to see if I would be able to have alterations made in time. Euni went above and beyond to accommodate, I was able to drop off my suit on a Friday afternoon and pick it up Saturday morning. Euni was extremely friendly and sympathetic, and helped make a stressful time easier. The prices were extremely reasonable, measurements were taken very quickly and accurately, and the craftsmanship of the alterations is impeccable. I highly recommend this place to others. read more

We have been looking for a tailor we could have a good relationship with for awhile. All the previous tailors we used were cold or disinterested. Euni is amazing! She is so friendly and outgoing AND her work is amazing. She fixed up an oddly sewn top to a jumpsuit and now it fits perfect (along with tightening up some straps on another jumpsuit). Avoid this con artist!! This woman ruined all 5, of the 5 new shirts I left in her care. When I put it on to point out the poor craftsmanship, I got some hostile native tongue. No discount for ridiculously uneven sleeves, shabby hem lines & completely missing correct measurements. Awful tailoring - even worse customer service. Do yourself a favor & skip this hack! Wow!! Euni is beyond amazing! I brought in a dress on Wednesday evening that I was hoping to wear for a wedding out of town that Friday. I was not expecting her to be able to do it by then but I figured I needed it taken in anyway for some future event. She called and texted me Thursday afternoon (the next day!) to tell me it was ready! It's not like she wasn't busy, she just really went above and beyond. It fit like a glove and I am so happy with everything about my experience at Urban Tailor. Euni was so personable, compassionate, and professional! Friendly with attention to detail. She has hemmed jeans and it looked like the original hem. I needed a pleated, lined skirt hemmed for a wedding. We discussed a timeframe which was a little tight for my comfort. She made it happen so I got my lining hemmed, the skirt hemmed and repleated within my comfort zone. I ended up with no need to be concerned. The wedding was wonderful. Turns out there was a gown there for the same wedding. That hem was also completed in a timely manner. That is service.
