Some of my earliest memories are of hiding in the racks at Peter Harris whole my mother pored through the slim pickings for my Easter Sunday dress. I no longer live in the area, but I came back to visit family for the holidays and had some time to kill, so on a whim I decided to walk in and see if it looked the same as I remembered. Answer: not at all, and I mean that in the highest regard. Some of the items available are CUTE--I saw shoes, dresses, and even hats I'd wear out, but just ended up walking away with a pair of pants and a sweater. So what's the problem? Well, the store wasn't very busy--probably five shoppers besides myself--and there are three women standing at the register. One is folding clothes to be rung up, one is ringing up said clothes, and one is... just... standing there. I walked up with my purchase to pay and was snapped at pretty rudely that there was only one register open. Why are two women working one register? Why is the other not operating a second register? Ultimately, we ended up with all half dozen shoppers in a slow-moving line. It wasn't a big enough annoyance to prevent me from coming back, but I was annoyed enough to leave a Yelp review, so do with that what you will.

I know it's inside a mall, but Barbie is always looking for a steal or something special, and she not only didn't find anything she really wanted in here, but it was obvious that if even if she had she wouldn't have found it cheap enough to meet her needs. The girls helping me could clearly tell I was irritated but refused to give me cash back, even though I had destroyed the visa gift card I used to pay with so I had no way of providing that to them (since it had been used up). The worst part is when I went to pay they walked to the side and left someone else to deal with me. Like I said this place's policies are ridiculous. I was recently in the Albany, NY area, and saw that my mom had a catalog on her coffee table. I knew that there was a store in the Albany, NY area, and contacted the store to make sure the sale was the same as the catalog, and it was. I spoke with GINA on the phone, and she pulled a couple of pairs of pants for me to try on when I came into the store. My mom & I did indeed visit the store the same day, and we had excellent service from everyone in the store! We both ended up getting many items, with exceptional service, as well as saving additional 10% opening credit cards. GINA & her store were awesome and I will not hesitate to go into that store again for my purchases. Please remind all associates of J Jill to treat their customers like they would want to be treated. I will be visiting MASHPEE, MA this weekend, but will NEVER visit the J Jill store there after my terrible experience. As for the Burlington, VT store, as well as the Albany, NY store, I will never hesitate to go into both of those stores, as they deliver GREAT customer service!

Recently adjusting to my new body and was so nervous to go and shop for a new outfit for a date. I was very warmly greeted by a beautiful woman named, Kendra. Not only did she stock my room with gorgeous outfits, hype me up, and build up my confidence, her and her warm team of staff helped me make a normally stressful time, stress-free by catering and entertaining my children. The clothing is all quite nice and they do carry many classic and timeless styles. This store does carry more than just clothing. I spotted apparel for men, women and kids. They also had a small jewelry section, but I would suggest checking our nearby Charming Charlie's because the prices may be better. I also noticed a small table of women's shoes, lots of basic flats, but all were very cute. This store might be worth checking out if you don't want to make the long trek over to the Lee Outlets. I spotted many items at 40-60% off and the true bargains are found in the back of the store. Prices aren't bargain basement cheap, but they are reasonable for this particular brand.

If you tell them what you are looking for they will guide you to the spot as well as show you some similar things that may interest you. There is one girl at the fitting rooms, I believe her name is Julie, who will help you with anything, whether you need an extra size, a different style, or just for her opinion. All the workers I have come into contact with there are excellent, and I appreciate how hard they work, and all the excellent clothes they have helped me pick out.
