Came in from out of town for an interview and realized I forgot my suit as soon as I arrived. Quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a clothing store. I have probably 6-8 Jos A Bank Signature Collection suits. Every one of them is becoming threadbare in the belt loops. This happens and when I lived in Dallas, my local store had no problem replacing them when they wore out. Not this location. The manager here informed me that they can not replace the belt loops and that the best he could do is give me a discount on more suits! I asked for the corporate number and they guy told me " he was the store manager, and corporate would not help me either." Why would I spend hundreds of dollars on more suits? Fixing a belt loop should be pretty simple and frankly a decent suit should not have to have the belt loops replaced continually. If you are looking for a company that stands by their workmanship, this is not it. I may take them to another store and see if they can help but overall very disappointed in my experience with this location. I will look elsewhere for my work clothes. read more

I had a frustrating experience trying to buy a suit at amen's Wearhouse (no selection) and sticker shock at Macy's before going here. Got a great suit for less than Macy's and it was ready for pickup the next morning. Great experiencs. Lydia was a huge help and the seamstress did a great job! read more

I got married in July of 2019 and had quite the experience with Joseph A Banks. We ultimately decided to buy 6 suits as oppose to renting them for my 5 groomsmen and myself. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable in selecting a suit and sizing them accordingly. We paid for our suits and were told some would come to the store and some would come to our houses. I received mine first with the wrong tie. No big deal. Called Ron and he said bring it in to switch it out which I did. My brother was told his suit was suit was in on the 4th of July. He went in and the shirt was not the right shirt. No alterations had also been made which he was already sized for. The staff couldn't find the paperwork to get the right shirt and he had to be remeasured. A week later, they call him to come back, this time they forgot to hem his pants. Few days later, he goes back in and the sleeves on the suit are the wrong length and have to come back again. Next groomsmen is told his suit is in. He goes in and it doesn't fit. Comes back the next week and it doesn't fit again. The jacket was too tight and he could barely move in it. On the 3rd attempt, it finally fits. Another groomsmen and another problem. He is told his suit is done and goes to pick it up and no alterations were made. They remeasure him and tell him they will rush it. Goes back in and the pants weren't altered. Has to come back in another day. This time, they were hemmed wrong. Finally his turn out to be right. Might I add, some of these guys paid as much as an extra $80 dollars to have alterations made which we found to be ridiculous and made multiple trips back and forth to finally get the right sizing. I do like the suits quality and a lot of the products they offer. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly but they seem to be very disorganized at times. I called Ron when it was getting close to our wedding date and asked for assurance that two of the suits would be done. He never really accepted responsibility for any of faults and insisted nothing was wrong. I would strongly recommend purchasing a suit from another store or just renting one and saving yourself a very large headache like this again. read more

STAY AWAY! OVERPRICED MERCHANDISE THAT DOES NOT LAST. After seeing that the dress shirts purchased at Jos A Banks are developing holes in the them for no reason, I am updating this review. Even the shoes fell apart after a few months. Purchased two suits and other items for my son, spending over $1200. After he wore the suits a few times both of the suit pants tore near the pocket. As the tear was not on the seam line, Banks could do nothing about it. I could understand if they were worn a lot, but they were not. I had to give a star rating, but I would have given the quality of the suits a zero. To be fair, the salesman was fantastic. He took a lot of time to assist my son, pick out perfect ties and was totally professional. My recommendation would be to not buy suits, shirts or shoes here. Maybe that is why they are always buy one get three free because they do not last. read more

My husband buy a lot of his dress shirts and suits here. They run great suit sales and we try to take advantage of them. Their tie selection is basic and a little ho hum with one or two that seem contemporary. The customer service varies every time you go in. It feels like "Good Old Boys" club. The styles are very conservative-tried and true. The store itself could use an update. My young adult sons would have never shopped there except for the fact that they had been there so many times with their dad as he taught them about how to wear a suit and how it should fit. The one thing I will warn you against is using their alterations people. They have messed up a couple of my husband's suits that he bought there. One of them he took back twice and it still wasn't right. They offered us nothing to compensate us for the hundreds of dollars we spent on a suit their alterations people messed up. Lesson learned and we take suits elsewhere to be tailored. read more

I like the quality of the clothes here. My husband buys the signature Gold suits The salespeople are not pushy. The tailoring at this store is always spot on 12/14/15 at 10:30 am. we called the store after the "promised date" of some alterations on new clothing to check that everything was ready for pickup. The salesman who answered the phone said that he was too busy to check on our request, that all other personnel were busy too, and that we should call back later. He refused to write down our phone number and call US back. My husband called the corporate office for help. Corporate called the store then called us right back with an answer to our inquiry. Simple right? So why was an issue created by the store employee? I think they switched managers at this store or something because this was the first time we had this type of issue. Since we spent over 1000 dollars in one visit, we expect to be given good service at ALL TIMES not just when we're in the store buying. I hope that necessary "adjustments" will be made at that store. Otherwise we will shop elsewhere The South Hills Village Mall is just up the road. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. The service I received at this place is embarrassing. I picked up a suit at this location I was needing for a wedding. They didn't give me the right size, they didn't properly tailor the suit, and the woman who assisted me could not have been any more rude if she tried. I'm sure working at a suit shop isn't all that fun but, I don't see a reason to be ignorant to people. It's also equally ironic that on their receipts it reads "Your satisfaction is guaranteed!". I can assure you I was not satisfied whatsoever. Picked up my suit on 7/1/15. Called two days later when I realized they didn't properly hem the pants, and in addition they gave me pleated pants which I did not order. I was told there wasn't anything they can do. Everything about this suit was terrible. Not to mention their lack of care when it comes to correcting customer concerns. On 7/23/15 I sent a lengthy e-mail to their customer contact address. I waited for about two weeks and still hadn't received a response. On 8/7/15 I called the JAB main number and was told the reason I hadn't heard anything back was because they were "really backed up on responding to e-mails". Really? It takes that long to respond to an e-mail? Wow, there must be a lot of folks who had negative experiences. At any rate - I was patient and I've waited for some sort of response...nothing. So on 10/9/15 I reached out to a "chat representative" to further escalate my concerns about 1. the garbage service & product I received & 2. the complete disregard to for customer concerns/comments. After the associate "reviewed" my e-mail they couldn't figure out why no one had contacted me. I was ***assured*** that a regional manager for JAB would be contacting me within 72 hours. Guess what? I NEVER received any phone call to any of the 3 numbers I provided nor did I get an e-mail. Overall I'd say this is probably one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. I think its safe to say that its just a matter of time before this location along with the others is just a distant memory. Stay away from this place...unless of course you enjoy rude employees & poor quality suits! read more

My fiancé and I came to Joseph A. Banks this evening to get a suit fitted for next weekend. We obviously understood that it was extremely last minute and didn't get to expect everything perfectly, but we still expected to receive the respect and service that everyone else is afforded. The lady helping us made my fiancé feel embarrassed about his weight when she measured his waist and made a face, as well as saying that he "couldn't get a full suit" because his waist size was different from the coat size. She said "most men" were shaped with broad shoulders going down to a smaller waist (demonstrating the shape with her hands) and that he was "just not" and more straight shaped. She asked several times if my fiancé was sure the pants didn't need to be taken out at all several times, even after he had said he felt comfortable in the pants. She was negative when she said she "had another problem" because she didn't have the matching separate pants for the jacket we liked in his size, and I had to suggest that she call another store to see if they had the pants and jacket in stock. Thankfully she did call them, but it was clear from the beginning of the trip when we told her when we needed the suit by that she did not want to help us and did not value us as customers the same amount as if we had come in with a deadline further in advance. My fiancé should not be tearing up in the dressing room because a rude woman was making him feel self conscious about his body shape. It's safe to stay we will not be returning. read more
