Just a quick update to recognize another excellent employee at this location. I went to pick up my suit after alterations, and I was greeted by Makyla. I told her I was here to pick up the suit as well as look for some shirts and a blue blazer. (Since registering on Jos A. Banks' website, I received a $25 off a $125+ purchase.) She guided me through the selections of shirts and blazers and allowed me additional time to look around and browse. She requested I contact her if I needed further assistance and when I was ready to check out. I purchased a cool blue blazer (on clearance!), a nice dress shirt for the suit and another dress shirt on clearance for the same suit. Total price - under $110, which included the discount! Shopping for new suit with a two decade gap from my last purchase, I needed good quality with affordability and a sales person to assist me. Since my daughter's wedding is months away, I waited for the annual "Black Friday" sale. From start to finish, my salesman (I don't remember his name!) guided, recommended, and suggested in ways beneficial to my need of a suit and a reasonable price. Overall, I had a genuinely pleasant experience, and of course I left with more than a suit! The manager on duty also assisted in a professional manner and also communicated to my wife and me that we were welcome. Side Notes: The alterations for both pant legs were marginal at $18. I was happy they didn't charge by leg! If you're purchasing a new wardrobe, sign up for the rewards program. My fiancée and I have bought a suit from this location a few years back so we decided to go back today in search of a suit for myself. At first the guy helping us seemed really nice and he seemed like he wanted to be helpful. 15 minutes in and he is insisting we go else where or go home and think about it before making an implosive decision. My mother brought a shirt and asked if they had it in my size and he says no. I responded "damn that is a nice shirt, are you sure?" And he says "I know for a fact they don't have it in your size" after 20 awkward seconds he takes the shirt and said I'll check just incase. Finally I said we would just go think about it and he said god bless but in a condescending voice. Not sure if he was homophobic or trying to fat shame me but we were all uncomfortable with our interactions with him. We decided to try men's warehouse instead where our experience was completely different. read more

It was a very difficult process getting my husbands tux for our wedding. When we first arrived in early November they told us we would be able to check weeks before to make sure everything fit properly and because our wedding was out of town. As the wedding approached we called them asking for an update and they said that the tux would not arrive until 2 days before the wedding. I expressed my concerned that what is there are issues or wouldn't be able to be fixed. After some back and forth they said okay we can have it come in a week and thank goodness we did because the had the wrong tux. It was way too big and not even the tux we ordered. They ordered the "right" one and when jt arrived it still was ill fitted and the pants were not "slim" as advertised and the jacket too small. Thankfully my abuela is a seamstress and was able to temporarily take in places that needed to be. The reason why they get two stars and not one is because the manager was nice. read more

My fiancé called ahead before going making sure I would feel comfortable because I am women. Got a good feeling with gentleman talking but the moment we went to the store. We thought the lady was going to make us feel comfortable and make the process at ease. She made me feel disappointed she judge us the moment she saw us. Even told us good luck! She didn't even try. On top of that I believe she was the manager. Yes I'm thick and I know we need to customize it. But she didn't even try told us to go else where. I just felt the judgment. Awful staff and customer service. From the moment I called to ask questions about the appointment to when my fiancé went in to get fitted and also when I called again to help explain what I was looking for. I had an attitude from a female worker from the beginning. Whole point of this experience is to be excited and pleasant for our future wedding but instead was just awful. Customer service is your job and you have to be pleasant so hopefully they can work on this. read more

I will update again at a later time when I go again to this location to purchase the suit. The updated rating is reflecting the customer service office, that had contacted me to fix the refund that had not been processed correctly. She apologized and after a series of phone tags we got through and I was instructed to go to the store and pick up the refund. There was apparently a bit of confusion on the sales rep part, and also a vacation that took place with him and management, and the manager there not being completely informed of what happened. Keep in mind I could of kept this at 1* but I am reasonable and this was my first encounter with them. But making things right is what mattered here and has left me open to try again. read more

This place for being a men's clothing store they have no idea what there doing. I bought a complete suit for my sons wedding and it took three trips to the store before they order and got the right size. The same thing happened to three of the other groomsmen out in California so don't matter the store location they are horrible. Not once did a manager came out to even apologize. They did not even press the suit, shirt looked like it came out of a bottle but guess that's the service to expect at this place for $324 bucks. read more

I am a long time / repeat buyer of Jos A Banks clothing. In the past their price point / quality have been great. There were my go to retailer for work clothes. We just moved to Winter Park and the Winter Park Jos A Bank store had two problems. 1. The clothing in suits/sport coats was all slim and tailored cut. Very small (virtually none) amount of traditional cut. I had to argue with the sales person to tell them that there was a cut and that I preferred the traditional cut/fit. I was told to just buy a bigger suit/sport coat and have it tailored. Incredible. I have worn a 42L off the rack w/ no alterations for 20+ years. 2. I felt the staff was not helpful. I walked into the store fully expecting to spend $1,000 - $2,000 as part of their Black Friday sale, I left spending zero. They lacked knowledge on their product and lacked in customer facing skills. My wife was with me and she felt the same way. Sad. read more

People make or break the ratings. I had to exchange a shirt that was mis-measured on my first visit and was too short in the arms. I went in thinking how much I hate doing returns. I was greeted by Daniel, who was amazing! Took care of the exchange, found the right shirt, had me try it on to be sure and then asked if I wanted the new shirt pressed. I'm getting married on Saturday, and I've ordered tuxedo rentals from Jos A. Bank. Thus far, the sizes have been completely wrong for two of my guests. For another guest, the pants were excessively baggy. The shoes they offered to rent us weren't what one would expect from Jos A Bank. They also aren't something you would want worn at your wedding. I still have two guests who haven't tested out their tuxedos, but I'm not hopeful that these will be any better. Generally, I've lost faith and trust in Jos A Bank on this matter. I feel it should have been seamless, but instead it has been stressful. Advice to customers: Don't do tux rentals through Jos A Bank. Advice to Jos A Bank: Exit this portion of your business. Fast. It's damaging my perception of your brand. read more

Guess I should have read the reviews before ordering a dark gray suit. Wrong color ordered and only resolution from the employee was to either upgrade to a tailored suit at double the price or take a refund. I knew I shouldn't have ever walked into the place but I did it anyways. Not sure how they stay in business, terrible experience and employees who don't really seem to care. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

Thought I'd add a more recent review since it looks like not much has changed since a year ago regarding this locations customer service and quality of alterations and custom work. My husband is a short dude with no butt and rarely finds nice looking work pants that sit on him right. He has a closet of Amazon finds and pants with frayed hemmed and only wears one or dress two pants for work. I've personally had clothes altered in the past for work (not at Jos a Bank) so I figured he needed a few nice pieces custom to him so he could go full week without having to wash and rewear pants. The lady who worked with us we seemed very nice but it was clear she wasn't very knowledgeable in what she was doing. Other staff even told us at one point that we couldn't purchase a pair of pants on sale and alter them, that we'd have do to a $130 custom pair regardless because of the shape of my husband. Idk about you but if a store employee in a female section/store told me I needed custom clothes due to my shape, I'd be asking for a manager and an apology. Anyways, after spending close to $500 for two altered pants and one custom pant we waited 6 long weeks for the altered pants to arrive. They were done completely wrong, my husband could barely move in them and he was so upset so wait so long for nothing. All the manager could do was say "oh well yah looks like that lady did your measurements wrong. We can refund you I guess" Very little sympathy and honestly it kinda seemed like this sort of thing happened often. Another two weeks go by and the custom pants are done. Some minor adjustments needed to be made by the alteration lady who made constant remarks about how "short and wide" my husband was. Who runs this place?? Who treats people this way? Men and women of WP, don't waste your money or time. The online store I'm sure has better customer service, so just save yourself the trip. read more

TERRIBLE place. On May 1st, 2016 @ 1:20pm we went in to look at suits and sports coats... Four employees. 2 were helping each other, one little guy with beard and green shirt messing about with a computer and the other guy, black shirt and tape measure hanging about neck just fiddling about with clothes... NO ONE would even acknowledge that we were in the store let alone help us!!! Twenty two minutes later we walked out. It doesn't even rate one star. read more

Amazing service! It is truly hard to find genuine service like this nowadays. As soon as I walked into the store I warmly greeted by Takhir the store manager. I told him I was looking for a suit and I was on a budget. He told me no problem lets see what I can do for you. Fifteen minutes later I was already getting fit by the Taylor, with a turnaround about 4 days. I'll definitely recommend this branch and will return. read more

Jos A Bank is a good place to pick up a suit and some standard dress shirts. This Winter Park Village location is great. The employees are very knowledgeable and super friendly. There are more expensive, boutique custom clothing shops in town, where you can spend a lot more money, but it's not worth it. Jos A Bank always have good deals going on. The commercials are pretty funny and sometimes annoying. "Buy any regular priced sport coat ..... AND GET THREE FREE DRESS SHIRTS." I especially hate when I am watching a game and they repeat the same commercial multiple times in a single commercial break. Thank God we have a DVR now so we can fast forward through that crap. Cheesy commercials aside, they offer a good product at a fair price and they provide exceptional service. I recommend Jos A Bank to anyone that needs some solid business attire. read more

Terrible service. My husband walked in to purchase pants today and although they weren't busy it took 30 of waiting and still no service before he walked out. Employees looked at him in disgust as he patiently waited, he was in jeans and a work polo and is a clean cut individual--our money is green like everyone else's. It is disappointing that all customers are not treated respectfully at this establishment. Spend your money somewhere else. read more
