This was such a breathe of fresh air from Walgreens and cvs. My medicine was actually ready for pick up when they told me. And it didn't take hours to fill. The wait time they gave me was 5 minutes. Local pharmacies are the way to go. read more

One of the worst pharmacy locations!. Before filling, I gave them a short list of three medications that needed to be picked up. They said they would check on the inventory and confirm if they have everything before switching my prescription over to this location. Lo and behold when they came out to confirm, they did not have the inventory; but switched my prescription to this location anyway. Then they offered me a lower count of my required emergency medication as a substitution. The pharmacist said "It's better than nothing". Where is the professionalism? Where is the attention to detail that is required to handle this job? The actions of the pharmacist technician made me feel very unsure if they are equipped or educated enough to distribute the correct medication and proper dosages. With this location being in the heart of Raleigh, I feel as though they do a great disservice to this area. In 2025 people are struggling financially enough to maintain proper insurance and healthcare; and at this location, people have to struggle to get their medicines too. I watched 2 other customers face some sort of discourse and discomfort here with something not being right. This was within 20 minutes of sitting here. Unacceptable. I am very disappointed in Josef's pharmacy as this used to be one of my favorite pharmacy stores. I believe the value has significantly declined. Also, they have signage up for the "best pharmacy award" but that is no longer current I assure you! Pharmacist walking around the back on their cellphones watching TikToks!! I do not want to stereotype but the only adjective I can use to describe this location is ghetto. Especially the tech named Holly. Very unprofessional and dismissive. I asked a very simple question concerning the date my prescription was sent over and she replied "Well you have a great day. You can go to Durham.", whisked me away with her hand (as if I was a fly), and walked to the back to sit at a desk. I immediately asked for the manager Stephen to share my concerns. He was very receptive, and available to fill my prescriptions. He is the only reason I am bringing this review up from a one star to a three. There was another lady in the front that was very helpful and pleasant. I value the services they provide, and I hope there is better customer service communication in the future. If you are having difficulty at this location, I suggest contacting your insurance and requesting a list of pharmacies under your insurance plan. read more

Did not deliver medication as scheduled. Closed on weekends, made me pay out of pocket.. No meds and out money. Awful service

For months I said I was going to stop going to my previous pharmacy, after every experience was progressively worse. My Dr actually recommended Josefs and I'm really glad he did. They are ALWAYS very nice and helpful. There was a small mix up one time and the staff went out of their way to fix it and make sure I was satisfied. More important than anything, they don't run out of frequently filled scripts. In the event they do, they are always on top of it and get it taken care of quickly. I highly recommend! read more

Best pharmacy I have ever experienced if you have a question don't have to hold for 30 minutes here. They care they know me after going 3 times. They are smaller yet if you need something filled that is not that common might have to order it a couple days early. Quick easy no line also can get through on phone.the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. New customer to this pharmacy. First experience was great!! Specific med could not be purchased where I live which is 1&1/2 away. Not only did they get a reduced price, they delivered it next 2 days by UPS with no extra charge. They also call you when it's time for your refill. They directed a prescription to be delivered by Fedex. When Fedex screwed up the delivery, they told me to come by and they would give me the prescription and we would be good. I get there, and they only give me 2 days prescription, saying they need to follow up with Fedex, and they would send me the rest the next day. I called them the next day, they said they would do nothing for 5-7 days, till they heard back from Fedex, and told me to call my doctor and get another prescription, so they didn't have to file it as missing. I worked for a pharmacy that I originally instructed my doctor to send my prescription to, and explained to them that isn't how this situation is handled. They asked me how my pharmacy would handle it. I got no help till I threatened to call the Board of Pharmacy and lodge a complaint against them, in which the finally filled my prescription. I then talked to the people who handle these situations at my job, and they were shocked, saying this pharmacy was doing everything completely wrong and against state law! My wife and I used Josef's Pharmacy recently to get our Shingrex shingles vaccine as recommended by our doctor. The pharmacists (Kevin H) administered the vaccine, he was a true professional. Really bad people bad customer service my mother order a refill 4 days ago for prescription and be deliver since she elder through the automated system, we waited for them and they didn't bring it we called again a female said we will deliver it tomorrow we waited for tomorrow the meds is not here we called they said tomorrow we waited and they said tomorrow when I called them today which is a negative attitude the person in charge and everyone else with negative attitude they denying that we have called which is pretty annoying Please don't deal with these guys any more they are also expensive in other meds or out of the counter you can buy anything pretty much at Walmart now. read more

Never had any issue's since I was turned on to this pharmacy. At the time I didn't have insurance and they had the best pharmacy prices around. People are curtious and once I requested a delivery rather then drive into town. They gave me a window of time and service for the delivery was riht on time. read more

I met Lisa Alston at a Community Outreach event where she told me about Josefs Pharmacy. Because of her I decided to give them a try and I am so happy I did. Upon transfering my prescriptions from CVS the Pharmacist contacted me and discussed each one and also suggested a supplement to help with the possible side affects from one of my prescriptions. This had never been done by any other Pharmacist before. This alone impressed me very much. I was then delighted by my prescriptions being delivered to my office. Almost no wait, even if I bring in a new prescription. Best prices I've seen anywhere. All staff are exceptionally kind, friendly, pleasant, and informative. Never over crowded, including drive through. Their delivery is amazing - they're always come in the short time frame (a few hrs) they tell you to expect them. You can choose approximate delivery time (just morning and afternoon). Usually delivery early in the time frame and is so simple. Excellent website where you can get a lot done. Can refill online easily and much else. I was shocked that someone wrote a poor review.
