Her level of emotional intelligence is incredible - she immediately understood the complexities and nuances of my case and all the players. I highly valued her approach to "take down the temperature" when emotions were ramping up and to bring emotional support, factual clarity and a drive for desired outcomes for all parties. It was incredible to watch her work on multiple dimensions all at once - I think she's at least 50% ninja to achieve the results she did. I will always recommend Ashley to anyone who is leaving a tumultuous and dangerous situation, dealing with the complexities of the military.

The very moment I read the email and realized I was being served by my lds temple wife of 18 years (while she was on vacation in St. George with my sister's family and she asked me to stay home since "we were arguing a lot lately" -- keep in mind this was on the eve of my 42nd birthday. Funny thing is I didn't see the email though until Sunday when they were on their drive home. They declined my zoom meeting requests and my in person mediation requests. ** yes, I had already tried two different marriage therapists (m & f) and she couldn't even stand either of them and wouldn't find one she felt good about? Weird.

This update to my original review of the law firm of J.D. Milliner is in response to J.D…read more Milliner's post of 9/2/2020. J.D. Milliner claims that my review of his law firm was largely based on information obtained from a rather unreliable source. I find this to be quite comical considering I based my review on my own personal interactions with the employees of his firm along with emails as well as invoices that were sent to me for payment of his firms work both when I was in fact a client of his firm as well as when his firm was retained to represent the client that his firm represented at the time this review was originally posted. These emails and invoices covered a time span of close to one year and came from the attorneys and employees of his own firm. I based my review of his law firm on what was supplied to me by his own employees as well as the personal interactions that occurred for close to one year with the employees and attorney's in his own office so I guess in essence J.D. Milliner is telling everyone who reads his reply to my original review of his law firm that his employees are the rather unreliable source that provided me with the information that I based my review on. J. D. Milliner states that the billing practices and procedures of his law firm are clearly set forth and that his firm provides detailed monthly statements each month to their clients. I also find this somewhat questionable considering in December of 2019 I personally disputed 2 invoices in a meeting with J. D. Milliner that were submitted to me as well as the client that was being represented by his firm due to unclear and questionable charges on the bills that were submitted by 2 of his attorney's that were working the client's case he refers to at that time. The result of the dispute was J.D. Milliner himself making the 1 particular bill in his own words "Go away" J.D. Milliner also states in his post that he must follow the instructions of his actual clients or withdraw from the representation of that client. This statement also comes into question due to the fact that the client he is referring to in this case submitted to him along with the attorney assigned to represent her as well as the paralegal employed by him a detailed letter that contained written and precise instructions of what the client wanted J.D. Milliner to do regarding their representation of her as their client. 6 days later the client in question received a letter from J.D. Milliner and assoc. informing her of their decision to withdraw from representing her as their client. In the letter that was sent to the client one of the reasons that was cited for withdrawal of representation was due to the bad review that I had posted here regarding his law firm. In summery it seems that the law firm of J.D. Milliner and associates retaliates against the clients they represent by withdrawing from representation of them when anyone associated with that client exercises their right to free speech and the right to review his law firm regardless if the review is good or bad. I spent over $40,000 on a divorce case with Ted and received absolutely zero of the things i was wanting in the divorce. I negotiated an alimony deal with his ex-wife, just to have Ted try and take credit for the negotiation, when he did absolutely nothing to facilitate it. Ted charged full attorney fees for paralegal level of work. In 2 1/2 years, I was only billed the paralegal rate for less than 3 hours of work. I feel this is a very unethical practice. Ted may come across as a nice guy when you first meet him, but he becomes very short tempered and gruff as your case progresses. Ted failed to file a closing argument in the case and later said he was trying to save money, which I find appalling. Ted, then proceeded to bill for over $2,000 of research for an appeal that was not being pursed. Ted is all about the money and not the client's interest. Ted let opposing council write the divorce decree, which allowed the ex-wife to get 100% of what she wanted and I received nothing of what he was asking for. Ted offered to settle the case financials for $1,500 dollars. There were no strings attached to this offer and there was no date set for the payment to be made. After a google review was mentioned, Ted said he would accept his offer if no google review was posted. Glad yelp is an alternative. Ted was also informed that the board of ethics would be contacted in regards his billing practices and the blackmail regarding the posting of a google review about his overall business practice. Ted emailed back and confirmed he would only continue to agree to his offer if I did not post a negative review on google. I feel this is blackmail and again an unethical attorney practice.
