When my youngest was born, I took him in for the post 3 day follow up and Dr. Barbadillo right away told me he had a heart murmur which Sharp Mary Birch failed to catch after delivery. Dr. Barbadillo right away made a referral to the Rady's Children Hospital Cardiologist and apparently it was pretty sever enough to have to get seen every 1-2 months, had to take medication, and had a surgical procedure completed at the age of 2. I really appreciated her entire support throughout the years and she always remembered every detail about every single one of my children and I have 4 children. Throughout the years she would allow me to take all four of my kids in one visit, which made it extremely convenient considering me and my husband both have full-time jobs and juggle life with four children. Thank you Dr. Barbadillo and the entire staff for all your support and care throughout the years. It is very unfortunate that my insurance coverage has changed and I now need to get treatment for my entire family at Kaiser Permanente, I will miss you all.

The word miserly comes to mind: My son had to see an oncologist at Children's hospital several times throughout the year and Children's would send Dr. Cohen's office updates via fax after his oncology visits yet during my son's annual visits she would complain that Children's wasn't sending her any updates. Come to find out that Children's kept all their fax confirmations to Dr. Cohen so when I questioned the office, one of the medical assistants told me that Dr. Cohen keeps the fax turned off unless she is expecting to receive something in order to save money. In addition, my son got sick unexpectedly and I asked the office to phone in a prescription order to a pharmacy out of the area where I had worked and the medical assistant had to use her personal cell phone to accommodate me since they were not allowed to make long distance calls from the office phone. Seriously? I was so happy when open enrollment came around and I switched pediatricians.

He actually conversates with your kid to get to know them better and help them feel a little more relaxed during exams. He's humorous but also very thorough with his diagnosis and explains it to my son like he's an adult but in a way that my son understands. Highly recommend him if he's still accepting new patients.
