Dr. Bailony was there at the hospital when my baby was born, and I knew right away we'd be staying with him. My daughter is now almost a year old, and every visit has been a great experience. The receptionists are always kind and responsive, and the entire staff is welcoming and professional. Dr. Bailony and the other pediatricians in the office are attentive, warm, and never make me feel judged. As a first-time mom with lots of questions, I truly appreciate how patient and informative they are. I always leave feeling supported and educated. My 5 month old is sick for the first time, has been sick for 3-4 days now and is not showing signs of getting better. Last night he coughed and choked on his own phlegm. This morning we received the lab results for My partner, he tested positive for parainfluenza 3, I immediately called this morning to speak to the on call doctor. Ironically it was Doctor Bailony himself groggily answering the phone. After I explained the situation Bailony told me that my child would be fine and that it's not a reason to call at 6 AM. He's lucky I didn't call at 3 AM when my child was screaming crying trying to breathe. Honestly this is the worst comment I could receive as a first time mother, especially with the pandemic going around. As an ON CALL DOCTOR, you should expect to be receiving calls. I am in healthcare and would never speak to a patient like this. Very unfortunate, I expected more from Bailony. Do better as a a doctor, the years you spent studying to do this, yet you're complaining about a phone call at 6 AM. read more

My baby's doctor is Dr. Ahmad Bailony and my husband and I have been extremely happy with our choice since he first visited our little guy in the hospital. In fact, we live about 20 minutes away, but gladly make the drive because of the great care that he and the other 2 physicians in this practice provide, and the positive experience we always have with his staff. With other doctor's offices, things would get missed now and then - an authorization here, wrong paperwork there - but Dr. B and his staff have been super on top of everything my guy has needed. They went above and beyond to get an occupational therapy referral due to feeding issues. We go every 2 weeks and it's been super helpful. His staff are so wonderful with our baby and toward us - whether it's being so nice and helping calm our baby before and after giving him shots, or reassuring us when his weight hasn't increased like we hoped. There is never judgment about decisions we make - only guidance and support. I called probably too often when my kiddo was a newborn and I was a completely confused new mom, but Dr. B, who often took my calls himself, reassured me that I wasn't unlike any other new parent, and this is what they're there for. PARENTS BEWARE ! STAY AWAY I switched to this office for my newborn as it was closer to our home after reading all the great reviews, but unfortunately my experience was a NIGHTMARE!!! I went in for my baby's 6 month check up after taking the time off work. The girl at the front desk with purple dye in her hair told me my daughter wasn't coming up active and for me to call her insurance. I got a verbal confirmation from an agent it was active and the hold would be 51 minutes to be provided the newly assigned ID #. I let the girl in the front know it was active, I was being transferred and the hold time and proceeded to question why I did not get it from the first agent who routes the call that answered who had NO access to that information and proceeded to tell me to hang up and call back and ask again. At that point I asked if my baby was going to be seen as I was told she was in fact active and the wait time was 51 MIN ! the front desk girl said "I need the ID". I decided to leave at that point instead of sitting in the waiting room for 51 minutes on hold. When I got home I called the office and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was explaining what happened the "supervisor" started talking over me about how they don't want me to get a bill and that she was sitting there the whole time....But if my daughter is active why would I get a bill ? I just needed to provide the ID number to bill insurance or her social which I had at home. I've worked in healthcare for 8+ years I'm very familiar with the process. The front desk girls seem like they hate their job by the way they treat the parents here. It was my second visit and my baby will NEVERRRR come back to this office. We will drive the long distance to a pediatricians office for staff who care for their patients and treat them with compassion. Thank you. read more

Dr Bailony has been my sons doctor for nearly two years and he's always been great with him. They have always been pretty on time with appointments and my son really does love the doctor. My son was recently sick and I called them and they were able to squeeze us in for an emergency visit. My son is already feeling better and the experience was painless. The doctor has great bedside manner. He prescribed my son the right antibiotics and he's doing much better. Not much more I could ask for as a father. My wife and I love this office and the doctor. We've been coming here for over 10 years now. Ever since dr m rounded on our girl at Mary birch. It's been a relief having them when our kids are sick. Dr A is so friendly with the kids and they always share Batman stories to calm their nerves. Recently we had to navigate insurance issues with a referral to OT and radys giving us an appt 6 months out and the referral coordinator was able to help us find another facility to see our son in 3 weeks. We got their Covid vaccines here recently and it was fun with goodies. We have done car visits when they were sick during the height of the pandemic. The nurses are always friendly and know us right when we check in. People answer the phone right when you call. You aren't on hold for 20-30 minutes like when I call my own doctor haha. My kids have been patients here for 2 years now. From their birth, to now. It really bothers me to write a negative review because Dr. Bailony is very nice and great with kids. However, I am not a fan of how the do things at this office. For one, they NEVER want to see sick kids or at least they don't want to see my sick kids. Twice, I have called for my kids being sick to ask if they can be seen (one being today) , and I am always quickly denied and told to bring my kids to Rady ER. isn't the point of a doctors office is to see kids for sick AND well visits? My 1 year old could of been seen quickly at this office, but now we have been sitting in an ER for 3 hours trying to get him seen. I have never been to an office or heard of a doctors office that refuses to see sick kids. Secondly, every appt our kids have had here, they are always running behind or late. The appts are very rushed and it's not personal, it all. I feel like my kids are just a number, and as a mom that doesn't sit right with me. It's sad, but I think for our remaining time in San Diego, I will find a different pedi office for my kids. They deserve better treatment and care. read more

My son is EXTREMELY shy and he loved him! The doctors are AMAZING, the front desk, however, is HORRIFIC. If you want these ladies, with this type of attitude as the face of your business, you're going to keep losing patients! I watched them humiliate and rudely speak to several patients as I sat quietly and filled out paperwork. If I wasn't in a hurry to get my son seen and get to work, I would've left and never made Bailony my provider! All because of the front desk. I've noticed several other complaints about them. Let me start with this. Dr. Bailony (the son) is a great doctor. He always makes us feel comfortable and knows how to evaluate and assess the concerns and achievements for our baby girl. That man is the only reason why I'm giving 3 stars. If it was him running everything there, then for sure 5 stars. The reason why i deducted 2 stars is because making appointments is almost useless. Maybe half or a little over half of the appointments we had, we were left waiting 30 mins to 1 hour. But yet you still have to check in on time, and if you don't, well you get cancelled and then there's a fee i believe. And out of the front desk staff, I'd say 2 or 3 of them are very welcoming and accommodating. But the nice staff are usually never up front. And reason why I say this is because we have to make adjustments with our work scheds to go to these appointments only to find out that it will take too long just to get seen. I understand also that at times things could get backed up, but at least inform people when they come in. We as parents expect to be roomed at the appointment time or no later than 15 minutes after. NOT 1 HOUR LATER. Aside from parents adjusting work schedules, CHILDREN CAN GET RESTLESS, BORED, SLEEPY/GRUMPY AND START TO FUSS. So then that would make it hard for the nurses and doctors to do their job with ease. And then, when we asked what's going on, when will it be our turn, we get some eyes rolled and tones that sounded like they weren't interested in our inquiry. Very rude. I didn't want to write this review, but damn. Hope this changes. read more

Such a great experience with Dr Bailony. He's warm, personable and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. Met him and his father in the hospital with our second child and he squeezed us in 2 days later just to make sure his bilirubin was coming down. We came back for his circumcision since Dr Bailony is one of few drs who continue to do this procedure. In this time where medical professionals are overworked and under appreciated, it's important to recognize people like him who go above and beyond what is required in their job. I Havent had an issue the staff are really nice and have been here for years . the staff are are friendly make you feel like your welcome . the wait can very depending on the day ive been out with in 20 minutes . other time a little longer 45 min - 1 hour . it just depends if they back up because people dont arrive on time or the visit are taking a little longer . the doctors are really nice the Doctor mohammed and Doctor Ahmad . i belive its a son and father practice and also other doctors come in time to time and are good as well . If your looking to switch doctors or looking for a doctor for you newborn this is the place . The son is great , the father is close minded in regards to finding treatment solutions which contradicts the sons treatment plans. After hours they both never pick up and they don't call back I if you leave a voicemail. From the moment we met him, our family all agreed that he had the nicest bedside manner and instilled confidence in a very relaxed, easy way.
