My Sub Zero refrigerator had a slow leak and the water was affecting the wood cabinet that it was installed in. I thought that I needed to call an "Authorized Dealer" ... but when I called Sub Zero they told me - not so if my appliance is out of warranty. (I did try two authorize dealers and they gave me a date, a month out!) I called J Cote and they gave me a date of 4 days out. I explained my concern about my cabinet becoming saturated with water, and they made room in their schedule and came out the NEXT DAY! They gave me a three hour window, but in plenty of time, they gave me notice that they had to push it out a couple of hours. They were very communicative, awesome customer service. We have a sub zero with temp higher than usual in the upper part of the fridge. Most repair men around us would not or do not know how to service it. Jos and his son fund the problem and did an excellent work to restore a brokern compressor fan. Jos also found our Sub Zero is low on refrigerant. Although the original refrigerant is not an option, Jos was able to get a different type of refrigerant that can work with my old compressor. And he replaced our old refrigerant for FREE! After service, Jos sent a very detailed information about our options for system rebuild if the problem recur. The quality of work, professionalism and honesty we received from Jos is second to none. I hired Joe to fix my icemaker and service my sub zero. Found out the vacuum compressor indicator flashing in the message center for weeks was the precursor to a bigger issue. Needed a new condenser. Joe had all of the parts required to repair both issues on his truck so there were no untimely delays or return trips and service charges. The bill was steep but in line with other repairs I've had done on my other high end appliances. He explained all of the repairs, fixed an issue with the water supply to the icemaker that caused the damage the old unit and was quick to complete the repair. my sub zero died unexpectedly and joe cote, when contacted, provided a date on which he could inspect my fridge and hopefully repair it. he showed up as arranged and with a truck load of spare parts but unfortunately my machine was terminal. joe explained my options in a professional manner and we agreed on the spot to accept a reconditioned machine which was prepped and delivered exactly on the schedule that joe provided. he even threw in a upgraded stainless panel set at no charge! in my opinion this company is professional, organized and delivers what it promises on time and with a smile. We had an issue with our Sub-Zero freezer and I was expecting a pricy and lengthy repair time for this kind of appliance. This was not the case with Joseph Conte & Company. The service appointment was scheduled very quickly and Jonathan, our service man, arrived promptly, was extremely professional and diagnosed the problem right away. I called this company when my Subzero freezer died in a vacation house that we are only at on the weekends, so it was imperative for me to get this fixed on the weekend. I called another company first and waited all day on Saturday for them to come and they didn't show up or call. Joe has been to my house several times, most recently for a Sub Zero freezer rebuild. This is a complicated job which took him and his associate all day but was worth it in the end. It's like we have a brand new unit, and while expensive, it saved me quite a bit from having to buy a completely new refrigerator / freezer. Tuesday was the second time Joe & Co. came to our rescue. The first time was five years ago when they rebuilt our dead 1997 Sub Zero. They brought it up to date, saved us the cost of a new Sub Zero and allowed us to keep our existing cabinetry. This time the fridge went out on Memorial Day. I called Joe early Tuesday morning and to my surprise his son Jonathan was at our house the same day! He was able to find the broken part and repair the Sub Zero. All the other reviews seem to cover his great qualities, and its true he can seem expensive, but if you have want quality service he is the way to go. Subzero/Wolf now recommends other service providers. Clarke came to us a few years ago and on arrival they were curt and unhelpful. I tried Carey and the wait was ridiculous. Subzero (who can be very helpful on the phone) told me "I think Cote is out of business". Not true. Seems all his old clients (like me, I used him once years ago in another house). So glad I sought him out again online. He really knows his stuff and works fast. read more

We have used Joe for appliance repair multiple times. This man knows his stuff! And he comes with just about any part you might need in his truck - or can order it and will be back within a couple of days. He is responsive, returns calls, and shows up when he is scheduled.
