First time I called him, he schedule me for the next day from around 11-1. After 1pm I call him and he says he is running late, at 4 I called again, apologized and said he would be there within the hour. At 6 I called again and told him at this point don't come over. For whatever reason I actually tried to used him again two weeks later. I call and go hey Jamie it's (my name here) from two weeks ago. Our furnace failed three times in as many weeks - always when snow and cold temps were at their worst - and always at night. Night 1, Jamie came out and got us running, but no luck in determining a root cause. Night 2 was the "Blizzard of 2015". Jamie talked me through some fixes on the phone to no effect, then jumped in his car and made the treacherous journey to our place. Again, got us up and running without understanding the root cause. Night 3 we spoke on the phone. By this point I'd become proficient in restarting the furnace myself and felt we were closer to determining the problem. Jamie never seemed bothered by my questions and never charged me beyond the first visit. Great customer service. read more

I would not use Temp Assure again. Jaime came and did little more than poke his head thru an attic hatchway. Whereas Standard Oil, under my A/C contract, actually went up into the attic and removed panels on the unit and serviced it. The tech from Standard spent the better part of an hour servicing the unit. Jaime said it was clean but, as far as I could see, he took no tools other than a flashlight and I couldn't see him doing anything. Then we went to the outside unit where he said that I needed freon. He said it needed about 2 pounds and it would be $298. I said OK and when I asked how he could tell if it took 2 pounds, he said he could tell from the gauge that was attached but offered to get a scale - Standard didn't even ask, the just brought out a scale. As per the scale it took 0.8 lbs. When he was making out the bill he said that they have to charge for 1 lb and the price would be $200 for the freon. I questioned this and he said they had to charge a fee to put it in. He never mentioned that when he said it would be $298 for 2 lbs. It wound up costing me $429 and I am not happy. Even charging for 1 lb when it took 0.8 lbs seems excessive. What if it took 0.2 lbs - would charging for 1 lb be a fair and customer friendly thing to do? The bottom line is that Jaime didn't care if I was a satisfied customer who would use Temp Assure again and the answer is an emphatic NO!! read more

Temp assure is ok by me. My heat died on a cold Sunday in March. I called several places and none had the part that died in stock. I don't remember if I spoke to them on Sunday or if they returned my message early Monday am but the net result was that their price for the parts and labor was about $300 and everyone else was over $500. They charged me the same amount for the part as I was able to find it for online while all the other bids had a substantial markup. They came early on Monday and were done quickly and the heat has been working fine since. They'd be my first call for any Hvac needs in the future. read more

This was my first experience with TempAssure, and I have to thank my fellow Yelp!ers for the suggestion! I came home to no heat and a burning smell and panicked! I gave up my last service contract with another company, and hadn't found a new one yet. Enter Yelp! and the great reviews for TempAssure. From the time I called Jaime to the time my heat was operational it was under an hour! He was quick, professional, and thorough - not to mention sympathetic to someone who HATES being cold! Nice guy. Responsive. Came out when he said. Diagnosed my A/C and originally said it was freon. "Added some Freon". Then he diagnosed the capacitor is bad and replaced. So far pretty good. Took about 1/2 hour. Then dropped the bomb. Charged over $680 for $13 capacitor and "added Freon". When I balked, he got irritated and said this is what people pay around here. Well, there was no way I'm paying that fir a $13 capacitor and 1/2 hour labor. He abruptly said he doesn't work like that (hourly) but by the "job" and took out the capacitor and said he's done. I'm also done with it. He asked to pay for his diagnosis fee of $166 and I agreed (for his time). That's pretty good for 1/2 hour. I believe he is good but the pricing is way too suspect. That's my opinion. Ask upfront for potential pricing. I ended up ordering the exact OEM capacitor from Amazon for $13.01 (GE) and it was delivered next day. Took 10 minutes to shut off power & install (color coded wiring is in manual) and it works perfectly fine. Use YouTube fir videos on how easy to replace capacitors. I still would have paid up to $200 for fair price. But beware. If I wasn't so busy I should of just did it myself from the beginning for $13 with 1 day Amazon delivery. This is his business and he obviously has the right to charge what he wants. This is just my humble opinion... read more

When our downstairs central AC was failing, Jaime was able to come the same day-- 3 days sooner than anyone else. He quickly diagnosed the problem, which was a much less terrible problem than we were anticipating, fixed it, and charged a very fair price. I call TempAssure exclusively if I have any heating or AC issue. Jaime's run the gamut of faulty thermostats to dead condensate pumps at my place over the years and has always been attentive and very quick to respond when I call. I use a heat pump swimming pool heater. It broke 3 days before my son's high school graduation swim party. I called many HVAC companies. They all were unsure about working on it because it was a pool heater (HVAC guys use heat pumps to heat homes). Jaime, from Temp Assure, said he wasn't sure but he came out immediately to take a look. He spent 45 minutes, sweating in the heat being eaten by mosquitos to tell me the unit needs to be replaced. He could work on it, but thought a pool person could deal with the water fittings better. He left without even charging for a service call. Listed as open 24 hour online so I called when I came home to a non functioning ac unit. Guy who answered the phone was annoyed I called during an off hour when I came home to find my ac not working. I made it clear I wasn't expecting someone out at this hour but wanted to try to get on the list for tomorrow since I have to work the next few days after. He kept talking about coming on a day I work despite my explaining I am unable to take off of work for this. Appreciated his suggestion of a fix for the evening however that was followed with being flat out told that he had no interest or intentions of doing more than that since I wasnt a customer. Sir, when someone is calling you in the middle of your night to your 24 hour service company, that person is interested in BECOMING a customer. Dont worry. I will not forget your annoyance that I called (you told me youd been meaning to change your listing to no longer include 24 hour) and that you weren't interested in my business. I will go elsewhere. My Payne furnace refused to heat up in January of 2015, would just blow cold/unheated air. Called Temp Assure based on positive reviews online, and found his ratings to be totally justified. His rates were among the lowest out there. Weekend rates were 1.5 times so I scheduled on Monday, I have 2-zone heating. Jamie from Temp Assure showed up with covers on his boots to not scuff my floors --- totally appreciated.
