Having worked with many talented photographers in the past, I can tell you that one of the things that sets the really good ones apart from rest is how easy they are to work with (especially with children, older people, and large groups of people with different personalities!). Carey was not only patient and accommodating, but he was also very professional (all of his equipment was top notch, he arrived on time and provided guidance when needed) and he did a very good job of capturing our vision for the photo shoot -all while maintaining a smile on his face when other photographers might have felt frustrated or been less inclined to try something again! He even managed to get my kids to laugh when they had had enough of the shoot and got everyone to loosen up (even the grandparents!) so we'd look more natural during our pictures. d I can't recommend Carey highly enough. This guy is a complete scam artist. We went for mommy and me photos. Not even until we take the…read morephotos does he say how much it is per photo which is 35 PER PHOTO under 8 photos. I purchased 8 and the next client showed up while we were still discussing edits. He never went through packages or anything. I messaged later after I ordered some copies that came back super blurry and he said I only bought low res. He never shared that during the appointment. He said if I want high res it's usually 300 per photo but only 105 per photo right now. Had I known this I never would have used him. But definitely wouldn't have bought 8 basically useless photos. I would have got a couple high res just to not lose the photos of my son. He even when I have been going back and forth with him got me confused with someone else and accused me of being late. I was so unbelievably early. And the only reason we went over was cause we were discussing the edits and all that and I even asked several times if it was ok and he said "yes she can wait" I was under the impression I purchased my photos to do what I want with. Clearly not. He says he showed the size prints I could order and he never did. Just gave 5x7s. Which I had to buy new frames for and not use what I have nor can I give any to family. He even filled out half the invoice after I paid and left! It's complete fraud. Do not use this photographer. He is a complete scammer. He is still lying saying prices were on the appointment email and what not and I've even sent it back showing it's not and he's stillll lying. We spent $300 on photos we can't do anything with.

I'm writing to warn you about a man who has deceived my family…read more Harout Yerganian, formerly the owner of Picture Perfect Dallas, was hired to shoot a video and still photos for our wedding, and he made false promises, abused our hospitality, shirked his duty, made more than one kind of inappropriate advance upon members of the bridal party, lied to us for months at a time while pretending friendship, and charged us money for services he did not provide. When the facts became clear to us we asked him for a very reasonable partial refund he took us on a wild, unpredictable trip across the emotional map, including sobbed apologies on September 23, 2015, for his admitted failure. Three days later, Harout decided that he in fact owed us nothing, so angrily & amid a stream of profanity, told me to take him to court, then, while I was discussing the matter with a lawyer, left the country & resettled in St. John's Island. When you put it all on paper, its quite a litany, & I'm trying to spare you the details. If details interest you, feel free to contact me. I've wrestled with how to deal with this betrayal for months now, and I'm determined to not act spitefully despite the theft & deception, and determined that sooner or later he'll go back to business shooting weddings, and when he does that he'll want to show off his positive reviews. Since I gave him a 4 star review when we thought this was a matter of a friend of ours overcharging us, I feel it's important to set the record straight. Be wary of this man- he has shown himself to be a skilled liar, manipulator, and confidence trixter. He seems to be, while not without guilt, perfectly willing to repress it so he can run off with a few hundred dollars which he could make in an afternoon, he has admitted he owes us, & which he knows we saved for months to gather. We thought he was our friend, and that he's shown that he never cared about us at all is the deepest cut. It seems that he will only do the right thing if he's leveraged into it. He did not disappoint! My best advice would be to trust him and his skills as a photographer implicitly. 1. He gives plenty of direction in terms of body placement, posture, hand placement, etc. to give you flawless photos. At the same time, he creates a very calm, light, and fun atmosphere that creates true, genuine moments between you and your significant other. We are two people that usually feel very uncomfortable in front of a camera, however we had such an enjoyable experience with Allen. 3. I really encourage anyone using Allen's services to listen to his recommendations. For example, our original scheduled date was cloudy and overcast. He recommended that we wait for sun if we truly wanted to be happy with our photos. We are so grateful to have listened to him, because the results were wonderful (see attached). There are other photographers that will say that cloudy weather is actually better, however with Allen's technique and skill set, he can do incredible things with the light.
