He knew so little that I had to feed him facts at the table in real time. I didn't win because of him -- I won in spite of him, because my case was strong enough to survive without representation. The billing was worse. I was double billed on multiple invoices, multiple times. When I asked for answers, I got silence. When I finally fired them after nine months of unfinished work, they "found" extra charges, doubled my invoices, and erased the refund I was owed. To this day, they still haven't returned my full client file, holding it hostage like a ransom note. August handled one of the most extreme divorce cases most people in Fauquier County have seen. In fact, the judge in the divorce said that my divorce was one of the three hardest cases he had ever dealt with in his time on the bench. It involved everything from adultery to protective orders to malicious prosecution and even cancer. August took over the case when my previous attorney had to withdraw due to a conflict. He picked it up when a protective order had been issued against me by my then wife. He saw me through getting that protective order overturned, two show cause motions my wife filed based on that protective order and an arrest for violating the protective order my wife filed with the magistrate. Not only did he WIN for me in each case but he managed to file and win a malicious prosecution suit against my wife for these actions. As to the divorce itself, August could not have done more or been more patient in dealing with my ex wife while she acted pro se after her lawyer quit. He managed multiple motions to compel and did as good a job as anyone could ask for in the pendente lite hearing. Throughout this process August was not only reasonable but personally supportive. When I got hit with a $2,000 a month temporary support payment and $8,000 in arrearage for a total payment of $3,000 month in temporary support, he was very flexible in allowing me to pay him what he knew I was able to each month. August is also very reasonable in how he bills. He is not going to hit you up for every 2 minute call or text message. He is not giving away his services but neither is he gouging as some lawyers do nor will he leave an honest client hanging. I've known few lawyers that will allow themselves to be as personally committed to a client as August was with me. In the end, I got a better result than I could have reasonably expected given my circumstance, and my daughter, after watching August in action and talking with him and getting to know him through the divorce process, decided that it was off to law school for her.

Mr. Yoon saw me from a million miles away as I entered the courtroom and nervously waited for my time to present my appeal and request for work/medical license due to legal ramifications I had placed myself in due to my negligent abuse of alcohol which when coupled with my untreated alcoholism led my DUI and to my criminal conviction and revocation of my rights to operate a motor vehicle until my sentence, probationary fees, and other legal fees were accounted for. Mr. Yoon approached me in the courthouse in 2015-2016, apologies for the gap in time as the specific date alludes me, as our greatest enemy is time, but I digress. Mr. Yoon identified that I was walking into a metaphorical minefield as it was extremely obvious that I was out of my depth when I walked in. He briefly asked me about my situation I was in and represented me and assisted me with my appeal in my case. He requested that I submit a Yelp Review, I could've sworn I already wrote one, but I have found myself in a moment of retrospection, reminiscing about how noble and just his shear presence was and how comforting he was during my state of vulnerability.
