I spent over $12,000 on my case and was repeatedly told they could handle it. I shared how serious and urgent my situation had become, but I felt very little was done to move my case forward. After my first court hearing, they chose to withdraw from representing me, which was both surprising and disappointing. Another frustrating issue was being billed for reviewing and responding to numerous emails sent by the opposing parties. Even though I wasn't the one initiating those communications, I was still charged for the time spent addressing them, which significantly increased my legal fees. After hiring a new attorney, I was told that my case should have been handled differently. Looking back, I wish I had known more about the firm's experience with family law before retaining them. After describing my specific case & needs, she informed me that Geller Law can handle my case. What followed was months of emotional stress & redundant conversations with the staff of this firm that yielded no results. It became clear to me that they didn't know how to legally handle my case. Some staff members were argumentative & appeared trying to take advantage of this emotional situation for me. There were redundant conversations that I was later billed for.
