There was one nice office assistant who was trying to help me, but Doctor Dolittle did not want to help, or even take one minute to see me OR even tell me himself that he did not want to see me. What a Sucker! At least tell someone to their face, who came to your office in pain, two days in a row that you don't want to see them or can't see them.... MAKE SOMETHING UP. Lastly, the office was just gross (on the outside & on the inside). Truly trashy... you can see it driving the office. Totally devalues the building/neighborhood. On the inside - the walls are damaged (water or termites - idk), and falling apart. Moldy carpet. Rickety doors, squeaking... I just feel bad for the staff that works for that sham.

He takes the time to get to know his patients on a personal level and genuinely listens. He goes beyond basic checkups -- his bloodwork evaluations are the most thorough I've ever experienced, and he looks at the whole picture, not just the minimum. Because of his attention to detail, he discovered things other doctors completely overlooked. He even helped clarify an issue with my mother's medication by running the proper tests that no one else bothered to check. His approach is careful, thoughtful, and truly patient-centered. He's understanding, compassionate, and clearly devoted to his profession. I've never felt rushed or dismissed -- he explains everything clearly and makes sure his patients understand their options. Without a doubt, he is the best doctor I've ever been with. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Now some nurses are more adept than others, that's not his fault. One was kind of speaking to me in a way I wasn't fond of and seriously had to dig into my arm more than once (my veins are small and not on the surface, but I've never needed two holes in the same area). Another nurse was fantastic, quick, painless, barely a bruise. Could I possibly marry her? In New Jersey? It's the usual waiting room with elderly people and The People's Court on TV but I'm cool with it.

Dr. Holuka takes care of my sick parents, which I consider some of the toughest patients who follow old school methods rather than listen to the advice Dr. Holuka provides, and he does it with a bit of tough love (yelling) and lots of patience. Since he takes care of my parents, I requested him as my primary care provider for my insurance, which is Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. He was very patient and caring the few times I went to him and he demostrates a lot of experience and knowledge. I would highly recommend Dr. Holuka for a general practice doctor.
