When I called for an appointment I specifically asked for a stylist that was good cutting a BOB. My appointment was with Leon. When I arrived I described to Leon what type of BOB I wanted and showed him a picture that had the length and style I wanted. The length was short in back angling down to the front just below the chin. When finished I have a very short WEDGE !!!! The back is 1/4 - 1/2 " to the middle of my head. I've gone to this salon for years. I gave it 5 stars and loved my style and color experience with Leon. I moved to the other side of town and still came back for my hair care. Now for some reason I don't understand they've ghosted me. Don't have an appointment open for 3 months, won't return my calls, won't tell me why. I'm extremely disappointed. A few years ago I came here to get my hair done by Rebecca Haralson on a friends recommendation and I have been loyal to her as my hair stylist ever since. She is very experienced and talented, she listens and she gives good advice. All in all she does know her stuff. I always loved my cut and color. However if it wasn't for Rebecca, I would have never set another foot in this salon. Every time the owners were around I felt uncomfortable and the atmosphere in the salon was very unprofessional. They bring their personal struggles into the workplace. I witnessed a fight between them which made me feel extremely awkward. I saw them hug and kiss their client good bye but as soon as the lady had left the salon they started talking bad about her. Recently I was advised that the salon is under video and audio surveillance. Seriously?! This is a hair salon not a financial institution. I was so happy to hear that Rebecca has moved on. She is still in the area doing hair. Having my hair cut here before I trusted Leon that I would get a great hair style while being COVID safe. I got the worse hair cut ever, I have never had to return to a stylist to fix a hair cut or style. I came home and the first thing I heard is your hair is not even - look the left side is almost touching your shoulder and your right side is almost an inch shorter. I went out that evening and heard the exact same thing from 3 other people. :-(. I was very frustrated because I told Leon while I was there it was uneven and he "fixed" it. I called on Friday to see when I could get in because I had an event to attend to on Sunday and didn't want to look uneven. Well, he was off on Friday and Saturday, closed on Sunday and Monday. I asked if his partner could fix it, and was told no he had to it. So I went to my event and told EVERYONE where I got my uneven hair! By the end of the evening I was tired of being asked if I trying to be hip wearing one side longer than than the other. (Not so much at 60+) I wonder if I got a crappy hair cut because his brother was in town and wait sitting in the waiting area waiting for him to get done. YES, that's correct. When you make an appointment, you must wait in your car until they are ready, have your temperature checked, wear a mask etc. BUT if it's your brother who just traveled from PA it's ok to just come in a wait. Guess your safety and customer experience doesn't matter. You'll get a better cut for $20 than I got for the $69 plus the $20 tip. DON'T DO IT. read more

I wrote a review last week, but I see it did not get entered (must have hit the wrong button?) Anyway, I have been going to Joseph Thomas Salon for several years. I love the way they do my color and cuts. What is especially good for me is that they work with who I am, not what the latest craze is. Although I am semi-retired, I still have professional commitments, so I can't be too 'wild' (not that I would anyway!) Good find. Many of my female friends also go there.
