ice cream in a waffle cone
    Crystal B.

I tried the Almond Joy, Colorado Cookies and Cream, and Strawberry in a waffle bowl. I got a size Regular. I don't know if I picked the wrong flavors, but they were just okay (and yes, I have had those same flavors before at other places). The ice cream wasn't overly creamy. I'd even dare to say I've had better ice cream from the grocery store. There is limited bench seating on the side of the building. Overall, not bad - just not for me.

My Uncle and his wife's absolute favorite Ice Cream. I was told I couldn't leave with out it. I Got the Moose on the Loose in a Waffle Cone. This is described as Calling all chocolate lovers! This mousse based blend of baked brownies and chocolate bits will have your friends begging for a bite. Details: chocolate mousse base with brownie bits and chocolate covered caramel cups the Ice Cream was excellent. It wasn't my favorite Ice Cream ever, but I see why it is loved. Heck we arrived at 9 o'clock at night and the line was out the door. The Waffle cone was the best thing. The make their own and I could've eaten just that, it was amazing. Overall a 4 1/2 star review that I'm rounding back up to 5. Would I return? Yes. Good Ice cream is good Ice Cream. I have one suggestion Sea Salt Carmel Ice Cream!

Great flavors, taste, and staff! Very friendly staff, cool vibe with plenty of seating inside and out. Would definitely come back here! They have some grab & go too! Would definitely come back.

This ice cream shop has made it to #1 on my list! I can't believe I've never been here before. But to be honest, I'm not always hanging out in the springs. Nonetheless, their waffle cones are a must try! Homemade right in shop! My friend's cone was so fresh it was a bit warm still when she got served. When I went, they had a banana Oreo that was delicious. The banana wasn't overpowering and, well, I find it hard to ever go wrong with Oreo ice cream. I also liked how they had a variety of unique flavors that made them stand out compared to other ice cream shops. Can't wait to come back :)

I'm in town visiting friends and they insisted we take the kiddos here to grab some ice cream. I mean, I'm not a kid anymore but yeah I don't say no to ice cream either! Located in a small strip of stores right off a main road with a large shared parking lot makes parking a breeze. They have tables set up outside too if you chose to enjoy your treat on site or offer awesome to-go lids to bring your goodies with you. Lots of yummy flavors to choose from and they allow you to sample them before you decide which is your favorite. They have a board of toppings to pick from too and all toppings we tried we fresh and very tasty. Ice cream is sold in scoops and you can mix and match if you choose. They also offer milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, and per my friend "really awesome" root beer. Overall a great place to get a tasty treat with a great views of the mountains. What more do you need? :)

Hot fudge sundae lacking whip cream.

We returned today for more of this delicious ice cream. So the super good ice cream is definitely what gives me the patience to wait in the relentless line. We determined they are consistently inefficient. The way they take and fill orders is not efficient. My lowered score today is due to the fact that the process needs revision and I feel like it's just minimal effort by the staff. Don't get me wrong, we are talking a crew of teens. Though there was a man observing, who it appeared was their superior. It was 6 pm and they ran out of whip cream ( the canister malfunctioned) when trying to make my son's sundae. They spent a minute trying to fix the canister and then just moved on. So that means no one else who ordered a sundae tonight was getting whip cream. I was told they couldn't get it to work. Then my daughter's shake was extremely full. Bonus for her but the kid had no hole for a straw as they put a to go lid on it. So when she tried to take the lid off, shake went everywhere. Their ice cream is great but the service and process is daunting. I also feel after 3 trips here now, that they are not consistent with serving sizes. I encourage you to go but not in a day when you are lacking patience or time.

I love this place and make it a stop every time I am in town visiting the Springs. I usually go yellow cake or oatmeal cookie. Today I went with the Mozzle Toff. All I have to say is wowzers. It was a vanilla/cake-batter base with heath. This is some of the best ice cream I have had. I love rhat they make everything in house.

Try the oatmeal cookie flavor!! We were from Wisconsin visiting friends who brought us here. We all got different flavors and were super impressed. I'll be back next time we visit!

Love josh and Johns. I had a scoop of the purple mountain majesty which is my favorite, with half scoops of peanut butter chocolate chip and cookie dough in a homemade waffle cone. So so delicious!

Excellent caramel. I especially like the seasonal fresh peach ice cream. Great sales for gift cards in the winter.

Honestly, the exterior doesn't look like much, but that's part of its charm. When we walked up, the young lady taking our order was really friendly and professional, which made the experience even better. Since it was our first time there, she helped us navigate the menu, and I appreciated that. The prices on the menu were reasonable, and I was pleasantly surprised by how generous the ice cream portions were. Although our food took a little while to come out, we didn't mind too much because we got to enjoy the ice cream while we waited. The staff were so warm and welcoming that it made the wait worth it. Overall, I think the friendly vibe and good value here will definitely bring me back for another visit!

We ordered hamburger combos, a pork loin tender sandwich, and a soft-serve dipped ice cream. The food was okay overall, but nothing really stood out. The hamburger, pork tenderloin sandwich, fries, and ice cream were all average. They were just okay, nothing to rave about. The biggest disappointment was the service. We ordered three combo meals, but one order of fries was missing. Since everything was packed into one small paper bag, we didn't notice until we were already seated outside and had started eating. When we went back to let them know, instead of simply replacing the missing fries, we were asked to gather all of our food, repack everything into the bag and bring it back so they could check the contents. It was hot and windy so having to pack everything up again was inconvenient and a bit upsetting I understand that they may have wanted to verify the missing item but it was not the most customer-friendly way to handle the situation, especially since we were still dining on-site. Overall, the experience was just average.

We were trying to recover from the physical indignity of ascending a mountain high enough that oxygen was treated as a luxury commodity. The government of Colorado apparently believes that every settlement in the entire state requires an abundant supply of frozen dairy. If true, this is an enlightened public policy. The shop was completely empty when we arrived. A lone young man stood behind the counter because his coworker was on break. He did not look at us with the despair usually reserved for a sudden crowd. He simply smiled and began scooping with the enthusiastic efficiency of a soldier waiting for reinforcements. I purchased a double scoop containing Salted Peanut Butter Cup and a flavor called Moose on the Loose. The second flavor contained enormous chunks of fudge that were buried deep within the cream like forgotten treasure. It was exactly the sort of heavy molecular fuel a human body requires after arguing with a giant rock. There was also a glass cooler filled with vintage sodas. Nostalgia routinely robs my wallet before my intellect can mount a defense. I purchased an RC Cola and spent ten minutes explaining to the members of our group born in the 90's that there was a time in human history when cola came in more than two respectable varieties. The ice cream was excellent and my history lesson was free. If you find yourself in Manitou Springs with tired lungs, you could do a great deal worse.
