Doubt I'll be returning any time soon and probably a good idea too. I ordered the equivalent of a cookies n' cream on a cone. Ice cream and toppings were beyond sweet and on a diabetic level. Not sure what took so long but for the amount of time I waited I could've ran to King Soopers and picked up a gallon bucket at half the cost. The interior is really cool and inviting. The shop even leads into Denver Biscuit Company and it definitely seemed more lively on that side instead of the single person assisting us. Definitely an opposite experience from any Denver Biscuit Company I have visited. After the 20 minute mark I wasn't sure if they needed help milking cows or assisting with heavy machinery. If they told us "Hey, we're backed up a bit so it'll take about 10-15 minutes or a bit more to get your ice cream out" I would have been a bit more understanding...but we received no update while the customers before us finished their ice cream and left. I've been waiting a year or two to try this place but haven't had the chance because I'm rarely near downtown Springs. So when we were in town last weekend, I was stoked that they were open and the almost 100 temps were perfect for ice cream. The experience fell short. There was only one person working then they finally got relief yet even with that, it took awhile to get our order and people who ordered after got their orders first. Their menu is so unique it was hard to decide, but I chose a caramel latte cone/bowl. Honestly, I thought it was just okay. My serving had very little caramel, but a lot of cookie crumbs. Their ice cream swirls created a tower of deliciousnesses. It can be messy but they put those white trays under the cones to catch all the toppings that fall. I went with the Basic B, which had dipped chocolate that hardens and sea salt on top. My friend got the one with cookie dough and Oreo crumbles. I looked for a unique dessert shop to try in the Springs and went out of my way to come to Frozen Gold, but was underwhelmed. Product looks way better on social media than what is received, but more importantly, it was inconsistent and just not made well. We ordered the Cookie Crumbles to share, were informed they're out of "the right" cones, so I said a cup was fine. Ours came out with a cone haphazardly thrown on top and then the gal went on break. The next two orders up also had a Cookie Crumbles that looked totally different from mine- as in you could visibly see that theirs had cookie dough balls studding the outside and mine did not. The order tasted decent in that you can't really go wrong with Oreos and soft serve, but all of the fudge was in a half-inch puddle at the bottom of the cup and we came across exactly one cookie dough ball in the entire order.
