Josh was on time and had the parts needed to repair my Whirlpool washing machine. He is very affordable and polite.

Please do not call and waste your money with this shady business. They will take your money and run! We have dealt with them through AHS for a month. They have been to our home three different times, and each time left our dishwasher in worse condition than the time before. I should've known they were shady when they recommended JetDry as a solution to my problem. They now refuse to come back and repair the mess they left us with. They avoid phone calls, are dishonest, and quite unprofessional. They will be reported to the Better Business Bureau and will be asked to be removed from AHS Home Warranty Service. They came out to look at our washer, determined what part it needed, said they'd order it and it would be in in a few days. We didn't hear from them for a week, so my husband called and got no answer. We called the home warranty company who hooked us up with them, and they got a hold of them and said they would be calling us tomorrow to schedule a new appointment to come out with the part. They never called. My husband called a few days in a row (to Josh) and got no answer. He called five times today and they would pick up and hang up. I'm almost to 5 star here. I was worried reading some of the reviews. We have a home warranty and Josh's was who was sent. BUT here were are about 10 days later with a new part installed in a working dishwasher. Both Josh and Gabe were wonderful. We had 2 visits one to assess the problem one to replace the broken part. Both were on time, polite, and professional. I recieved emails and texts letting me know when the part was ordered, when it arrived and a call the day it arrived to schedule installation. Worst customer service ever! I was connected to this company like most through America home shield and he came out looked at my refrigerator and said we needed a new part. 2 weeks later they came out with a new part and said he ordered the wrong part and will need to reorder a different one. 5 weeks go by and no word from Josh's appliance so we start calling to get an eta.... get voice mail most the time with no return call if you actually get a person they say they have to find out what is going on and will call you back and never do. We finally had to call ahs to have them get a hold of the company to finally get a call back from them. When we finally get another company to set up a time to come out Josh's appliance company calls to say they finally got the part and if we go through another company we would likely have to wait for them to get the part. So we set up a time josh comes out installs the part and leaves without seeing if the refrigerator works. Of course it still doesn't work and now we have left multiple messages and no response. I had to get ahs to redo the service request through another company and mind you I am now 2 months without a refrigerator! For those who don't know this company has a better business bureau and Angie's list raring of F. Hopefully you learn from my mistake. You can tell ahs to put this company on your "Do not use" list and would highly recommend that. read more

Josh visited twice and told us to figure out where the noise was coming from (I recorded the noise for him to ascertain with his expertise where the problem was) and then let him know so he would know what to order to fix our refrigerator. Really? He was sent by American Home Shield and we will never do business with him again. He doesn't return calls and seems to ignore his agreement with AHS. Second time he came out after we told him where WE thought the noise came from....he said he would order the fan and we have not heard from him since and that was November 5. I would choose to give no stars if possible because he has wasted his time and ours twice. read more

American Home Shield send me the contact for this company. They did not call for scheduling in 24 hours as the insurance company said they would. I called them, and the woman that answers was not nice, but did the schedule. I asked if they could call when the technician is on the way, and she said he would send a text message 30 minutes before he arrives. Well, I did get a text message and got home on time. One hour after the start schedule time, I called the company, nobody answer left a message. Nobody called back. I called back 2 hours after that and finally the rude woman answered saying that he did come to my home and nobody was here. LIE. HORRIBLE SERVICE. ACTUALLY NO SERVICE AT ALL. He fired the guy replacing the seal on my washer, cussed him out on the phone because he asked for help while the technician was standing on my porch and now my washer is in pieces with no one here to put it back together. If your warranty company wants to use this company tell them NO!! read more

We had a very bad experience with Josh's Appliance Repair. They took 6 full months to fix our refrigerator. They were very dishonest in reporting what the issue was to the American Home Shield Company in order to make more money. They final thing they fixed, was actually what I had told them was the problem the first time they came to our home. They are very difficult to get ahold of at times. read more

Sounds like we are not the only ones who have been taken advantage of by Josh's Appliance Repair. I had scheduled an appointment through AHS but, when I was able to resolve the problem myself, I called Josh's to cancel the appointment. No one answered. I called again the next day and still, no one answered the phone, so I left a voicemail cancelling the service call. I was charged $75 through AHS and when I called to get a refund, they told me that Josh's Appliance reported coming to my house and that I met them at the door. This never happened; I was at work that day. They are dishonest and have pocketed my money despite providing literally no service for me. I wouldn't call Josh's for service even as a last resort. read more

Josh's Appliance was sent out by American Home Shield to fix our stove. After making the appointment, we discovered that the issue could be resolved another way. We called Josh's and left messages THREE TIMES to cancel the appointment. They claim that they showed up anyway and consulted with us about the appliance. That is absolutely untrue. If they came, they never spoke to anyone about anything because noone was here. But because they said this, AHS has refused to forgive the 75.00 fee. It looks like from the reviews that we are not the only ones to have this problem with this company. read more

TERRIBLE company. I would give ZERO stars if I could. We only used this company because it was who was through our home warranty company. Not sure why our home warranty company has them under contract. Terrible customer service. They are RUDE and it has been 3 weeks and a day since our service request and NOTHING has been done. We have been without a washing machine for 3 weeks now and have tried to call several times and have left multiple voicemails, we have never got a call back. I'm about to just give up on them and spend the extra money by going through a different company. This is the WORST company I have ever had to deal with and I warn others to NOT even bother. What a joke. He couldn't fix an appliance if his life depended on it. Horrible communication as well. Instead of pulling my washer and dryer out he climbed on top of them, denting them both. He now refuses to fix them (after agreeing he would) and won't call or text back. He worked on my washer several times, finally admitting he didn't know what was wrong with it. You're an appliance repairman...it's your job to figure it out. He's extremely slow....would take days for him to come over. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Horrible experience. Our washer has been broken for our a month , and varying people have been out at least half a dozen times without fixing it each time. There is always a different part that needs to be ordered, and it always seems to take a week or more to get here. They do not return our phone calls either. The last time they were out (a week and a half ago) they told us there was nothing more they could do and they had to call the manufacturer and have them come out. Without consulting us, the acheduled an appointment with our warranty who then notified us of the appointment , even though all appointments are supposed to be made through us. We tried to get it changed, but again, Josh's did not answer the phone or return our calls. So we took off work. They put into the warranty system that they were on their way at 11 am , and we got the update. Not 2 minutes later we received a confirmation for a NEW appointment that ALSO requires us to take off work that we were NOT ASKED about and we have a NO SHOW from the repairman. We called a dozen times and left voicemails with NO response. INCREDIBLY unprofessional . We are calling our warranty and requesting a new company and I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. read more

So Josh's appliance is the contractor my home warranty company contracts with. Our microwave under light would not turn off after a power outage. We looked it up and everything we saw stated that it would need a new control board which costs about 150.00. When the technician for Josh's appliance came out, he looked at it for about 10 seconds and said it was the light socket. A week later they come out and replace the socket, and that did not fix it. He then said it must be the control board and he would have to order it. A week goes by, then two, then three weeks. We call and they do not answer the phone. Leave a message. They call back and say it has been ordered but is on back order. 4 weeks, 5 weeks, 6 weeks, 7 weeks, still no word. I call them again, and they say it is still on backorder. Then they call me the next day and say they have the part and will come out to put it in. They replace the control board and it still does not work. The technician said, oh I must have ordered the wrong board as there are two of them in there. Said he would order a new board. 1 week goes by, I call them, no answer, I leave a voicemail, no call back, 2 weeks go by, I call them back and leave another voicemail, no call back. 3 weeks go by still no answer and no call back. The original claim was May 14th of this year. it is now September 9th. Almost 4 months to the day and they still have not called me, or fixed the microwave. They warranty company cannot even get them on the phone. Not sure what in the world is going on, but the Warranty company is just a liable as they contracted this company, and that is who I have my contract with. I see they have good reviews from people that call them directly so perhaps they treat those with a home warranty as less important. Not sure. read more

Horrible! Just like the review above. They were SOOOO rude to my property manager and LIED. This was almost the exact same thing that happened to the Johnathan. The tech didn't schedule it for over a week out. Showed up a day early, my property manager took time off work for the next day and then when they showed up they didn't even look at everything we had asked. They tried to set up another appointment that would be "best for them" which was in the middle of the day at 2:00 PM. They called American Home Shield and LIED to them and now have to fight my insurance company because of what he said. HORRIBLE I would NEVER recommend Josh's Appliance!!!! One more thing, the lady who answered the phone was APRIL, she was rude to my property manager and when I was told how she (April) treated my property manager, I stopped what I was doing called them and to my utter disbelief she treated me the exact same way. I am totally appalled by the audacity of the so called business. After three trips to the house to oversee problems on the Samsung refrigerator/freezer apparently Josh found many "opportunities" to order new parts even after the first diagnostic was completed. Mind you I rent from my elderly mother and father, and after my father paid $500, another part was to be ordered. Of course only Samsung parts could be ordered from overseas so it would take at least another month. That was four months ago and still counting the days...... When we contacted the business number the lady was rude and had not the slightest idea when he planned on coming back or if he even had the part. So we called his cell directly and he "reassured" us that he would not take advantage of a customer who resides in his hometown of Mulvane. I would not recommend this "business" to anyone. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and do what I can to save others from giving their hard earned money to someone who is just taking advantage of us all. read more

I have an American Home shield warranty for my house. My dryer quick working so I put in a service request on Thursday 4/16/15. I did not get a phone call from Josh's appliance until Tuesday 4/21/15. After they called I made an appointment on Thursday 4/23/15 with a window from 4pm to 6pm. I work 8-5 everyday but I was able to get off at 4 to have them come fix my dryer. at 2pm my wife gets a phone call from Josh's appliance saying that they were already at our house and no one was their (becuase we both work and the service was not scheduled until 4pm). After my wife told him that no one could be their until 4 he asked for our garage code so that he could let himself in and work on the dryer. We refused to give him the code so we got mad and was rude to my wife over the phone. Josh then called American Home shield (the company that i have a home warrent with) and LIED to them and told them that the appointment was at 2 and no one showed up so he cancelled the service call. Now my wife and I have to wait another week for ANOTHER company to come fix our dryer. I would not recommend Josh's Appliance to anyone, they have bad customer service and anyone that will LIE should not be given your service. read more
