The second time out it started running on one cylinder and since I was miles away on lake Jackson and thought it would be minor I took it to my mechanic there. $450 later it turned out the fuel pump (new) had been improperly installed causing part of the gasket to come apart and damage the pump etc. When I called the Savages I was told the only warranty was for the block (although I was told otherwIse). If you get any guarantee from these guys get it in writing. After I sent a copy of my bill to them they did not even call my mechanic to find out what they did wrong!

Claimed they did a multi-point inspection only to find a month later an impeller ready to fail and old broken fuel lines. They processed GA registration with the incorrect HIN# so it was a mess and a long wait trying to re-register in my state. Don't trust a thing these people say they will do because they won't.

It's so refreshing to be greeted at the door with a smile and a "can I help you". Because it was slow I had both service associates helping me get what I needed. In fact, to make it more fun they would quiz each other on the particular part, where it was at in the store and who could find it the quickest. I was amazed at how knowledgeable they were on my engine. So in a matter of minutes I had everything I needed and was checked out and on my way. They even gave me some valuable advice and tips on how to install and complete the job. My only regret was, I was in and out so quickly I was barely able to to get any photos. Just a fantastic experience. It's now my one and only goto marine store.

Will not start cold and I misses when warm. I email them twice before a return call. I was told all repairs have a 30 DAY ONLY warranty. 30 DAYS for a $2500 repair is unheard of.
