From the outside it looks like a leather warehouse. It's plain and packed with racks of jackets and walls of purses and other leather accessories. But the prices are both high and low, the quality ranging from luxury to more run-of-the-mill leather goods. There's almost too much to wade through. There are no little vignettes, like you might see in a store like Danier. This is the kind of place they're just interested in moving stock, not enticing you with an aesthetic experience. I don't like the way this place smells. Some such stores smell like leather and tannin. This place smells a bit musty and chemically. It made me want to wade outta there as fast as possible. They have lots of Baby Phat jackets at the front, which don't really fit with the whole image of the store, and at the back they sell leather biker gear. This is not the place I'd choose to buy a leather jacket. The place just doesn't feel premium enough to warrant making a bigger purchase like a leather coat.

I knew that they had leather & all sorts of tools to go with, I just didn't know they'd have some other specialties - like grommets! The store has a lot of stuff, and the items seem to be clearly marked. The staff were super helpful in assisting me to find what I needed. There were quite a few things I've added to my wishlist now that I've been in (rivets with coloured gems - watch out!) The only thing I don't love about this place is their 'tiered' pricing. If you purchase a membership (one for $35 and one for $150) you can get a substantial discount on your purchase. I don't know how many times I'll be there this year (they expire every year) so I didn't get one. I guess if you're going to have a business using these supplies often, it would be worth it. Although, as an ocassional shopper, it messes with my brain to see what I could save if I bought a membership.

However, the skins are very thin and are not reinforced well enough to carry heavier items with confidence. When I picked the bag up with my computer inside, the bottom of the gag sagged horribly. It is a poor, antiquated design as there are four convenient pockets on the outside of the bag but they are too small for my cell phone, my calculator, even my wallet. I honestly would have sent the bag back immediately for the reasons stated plus similar bags on Amazon were cheaper, but, the bag arrived with no information about return policy, no invoice or even an address to return it to (not on their website either). I received an email detailing their 14 day return policy 21 days after the bag arrived. I responded to the email anyway to see if I could return it. Haven't heard from them.

I had to take the bag to a shoe maker to have him replace the shoulder bag bolts. When I asked why they came off, I was told, " they weren't attached securely." I paid for new bolts to ensure this wouldn't happen again. I sent an email to the company a week ago explaining what had happened and never heard back. I would not trust their products to give them a second chance. What happened to good customer service?

He then encouraged me to take a look around the store at the wonderful products he has, especially the jackets. I hadn't owned a leather jacket in probably 40 years. There were so many good things in this store that by the time I left I had two belts, a gorgeous leather jacket, and a new leather wallet.
