I returned today and received awesome help from a gentleman working there. I ended up buying more than I had planned, and I'm totally okay with that. So they do have some great staff! I can see how this has be potential to develop into a popular spot. They seemed to have a group knitting/crocheting area in the back, and there was a gentleman working away on a project while chatting with staff. I don't know much about yarn because I don't knit myself, but they appeared to have a good inventory with a variety of beautiful colors. I couldn't comment on prices though, since I have no idea how they would compare!

I have been to this store many times. I like the lay out and selection. But…read more.. I don't think I have ever been greeted by the staff there. I have never been asked if I need help and when I have asked for help I feel like it's an inconvenience to the them. I often feel like there is a little cliche and new comers are not included. The last time I was in I made a large purchase and I had a friend who does not knit with me. Even she made a comment about the poor customer service and lack of interest in the customer.

I don't buy fabric that often, but I happened to be out in this part of town on a Saturday and thought, "Why not?" Years ago, Allan G built me a framed board that I upholstered & added cup hooks to to hang my necklaces in my dressing room on (our 1950s house had NO closet space, so I made one of the bedrooms my IKEA-closeted paradise). However, in my new house, the fabric no longer worked where I wanted to put it. My new bedroom is in silver, gray, and very pale lilac-- sort of Jean Harlow 1930s glamour, so I was looking for some fabric with a nice shimmer or an actual metallic fabric. Found one! Absolutely gorgeous silvery print-- almost like a shantung. My cutter was super friendly and helpful (I can't think in metric). When she asked what I was creating, I had to explain that I had this board, and it was 24 x 26 inches...). When she told me the price I just about fell over, considering the exorbitant prices Fabricland charges. I think I paid around $22.00 for my find. They now have a customer for life, and I'll come back here FIRST before ever spending a dime in another Fabricland.

She literally stood around the corner at the back listening to us while we were looking at products. NO - she wasn't trying to be helpful.....she just watched us - I have shopped at Quiltessential many times and have never felt like I was being treated like a thief before this time. Maybe that's how the new staff member is - but it ruined my outlook on the store - will not shop there again, which I find quite sad considering how few quilt stores there are in the area. One staff member has lost the store a couple of customers.

I was as in to their store to rent the longarm machine to quilt a couple of quilts over the last…read moremonth. One was quite large, so I had used the valet service where they load it all up for you. I would highly recommend this service. I found Ingrid, Keith and staff to be most helpful. They were exceptionally attentive, prompt service, efficient, friendly and made this a very productive and satisfying experience for me and my quilts turned out amazing. Your staff member then said I could just go online - what part of no internet connection isn't she understanding - My husband requested a manager, she argued instead of calling a manager. I walked away leaving my $80 order on the counter. It is as a Saturday afternoon and your store was dead - I can see why. Being told I can return something when I bought it, and then told, rudely but her that she cannot, is unacceptable. The way she spoke to the other worker who was trying to help me, was also not proper. I'd suggest customer service training to this lady asap.
