She asks if the pressure is too deep and adjusts according to your needs. She makes recommendations after the massage if for any reason you are sore. I've been to Journey's Day Spa numerous times since then for a massage and will continue to get my massages from Cybyl. Massage was great! No real complaints there! Issue for me, the noise. Wasn't overly relaxing when you could hear street traffic and conversation in the main area. Also, the music shouldn't have commercials. All of that messed with truly relaxing. Again, the massage was good. read more

Hands down, the perfect little spa! My boyfriend and came to get a couples massage, (he wanted deep tissue and let me tell you, he was raving about how deep the masseuse , put him in this "chicken wing" style position and really got in there) and I got the classic. I just bought a weekend house up in the Poconos with my boyfriend and was looking for a salon to get my nails done while we're up here. Let me tell you I am so glad I decided on Journey's. It's a small, cozy salon with the nicest staff! I made my appointment with Gloria who was so nice, she even gave me information about the area (since I'm new here), plus educated me on all things nails which I honestly never knew. I got such a relaxing pedicure and gel polish and my nails came out perfect. They don't use and cheap, dangerous products like some other salons might, and they have a full sanitation process after each client. My time with Gloria was filled with great conversation and education and I will definitely be back! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nail salon in the area! Today my sister and me went for a pedicure. I yelped a couple of places and decided on a place called Journey. Let me tell you the woman who took care of us was excellent. From the time we parked the car there were two persons outside and they actually worked there they were so friendly. Then we met Gloria she did our pedicures she was so friendly and engaging and she did a wonderful job. I'm from New York a have a place at Eagle Lake. Journeys day spa is incredibly cute and cozy. The gals there go above and beyond to make sure you're completely comfortable before, during, and after your massage. I made an appointment in advance, but my friend joined me at the last minute and the staff was gracious enough to make time to work her into their schedule without affecting other clients' appointments. My experience at Journey's Day Spa was one I will never forget. Cybal (not sure if I spelled her name right) and Gloria made my experience flawless. They were beyond accommodating when my friend and I changed our services last minute and they made each of us feel welcomed. From the minute we walked in we immediately felt comforted and relaxed. Cybal gave the best massage I have had thus far! She massages from your head to your toes and every part of it is amazing. Gloria gave me the best pedi and mani ever! I got a deluxe mani/pedi which includes a parrafin dip that makes your hands and feet as soft as a babys bottom. The spa is sooo sanitary which is so important during these times. It is refreshing to see a spa that opens new packages of sanitized tools used just for you. Overall if you are making a trip up to the poconos area Journeys is worth every single penny. read more

I had a really great gel manicure on very short notice here. I'm visiting the Poconos in late Fall and my gel mani looked awful. I called to find out if they offered this service and they certainly did. The hours are limited and the manicurist, Gloria, wasn't in but the girl who answered the phone offered to call Gloria and see if she can come in for me, she did! The girls there are really nice, they accommodated me even though I was willing to wait until she was in this week, the place is really cute and lastly, Gloria did an amazing job on my gel manicure! I even got a list of places to go in the area before I left there. I really like this place and I wish they were near me at home! Good job and I'll back when I visit again :) read more
