Dr. Scotti came to our home yesterday to help us send our baby girl on to her next journey. We knew the end was coming but it approached much faster than we'd anticipated, so my husband was only able to contact her for the first time that morning. She agreed to come that afternoon, which gave us one final day to spend with our hound. I was a bit nervous working with someone whom I'd never met before, especially on such a difficult task. But when she entered the room I was immediately at ease; I'd expected to feel a little weird about the fact that I was laying on my bed with my dog when a stranger entered the room, but she immediately and gently told me to stay where I was. She was very informative so that we knew what to expect and didn't become frightened during the process. She let us know that it was okay, and good, to keep talking to our baby girl and then she gently let us know when it was over. It probably goes without saying that I could not recommend her more. She is a truly special individual; not only is she ABLE to do this, but she's one of the rare ones who was meant to. read more

We were referred to Dr. Scotti when we asked our vet about in-home euthanasia and were very happy with her service. Her website was very up-front about her services and pricing, so once I spoke to her it was easy to get everything set up. On the day we euthanized our dog she was very patient and kind, and our dog went peacefully surrounded by family. I had viewed in-home euthanasia as a bit of a luxury, but from now on this is probably how I will always say goodbye to my pets. It's much nicer for the pet to stay at home and makes it easier to keep the family close by when the animal passes. read more

This is the kind of service that no pet owner wants to need, but when you need it, it's so helpful. We knew that our dog would need euthenasia, and after talking with some friends, we heard that a really peaceful way to have this done was at home. I did a quick google, and found Michelle. She was really kind, and really clear when we first called to set up the appointment. On the actual day, she was also very gracious and kind. She walked us through the process before it took place, and let us know what to expect. She let us take all the time we needed to say goodbye. She was also really accommodating and good with the fact that we have another huge, rambunctious, dog, who would be around during the process. Our dog's death was really peaceful. She died on her bed, eating treats and getting pats. It was definitely harder on us than it was on her. I highly recommend Michelle. Dr Scotti is nothing short of amazing. When our dog was diagnosed with terminal cancer and we were told he had less than a month, we started the painful process of planning his end of life. I'm so glad we found Dr Scotti! From the first phone call, she was caring, compassionate, honest and open. She clearly explained the process and procedure - her website is very informative and lays out all of the costs. When she arrived, she sat and talked with us for a while, walked through the procedure again, and petted Rufus while he sat beside her. She gave him a sedative and sat on the floor with us while he grew drowsy. When he was under, she excused herself to let us have some time with him. When she came back to give the second injection, she let us hold him on our laps while he passed over. We were also able to let our other dog come in to see that he was gone so she wouldn't think he just disappeared. Dr Scotti handled every aspect of our situation with such skill and heart. I still get a bit teary thinking of Rufus, but then I smile that he was so gently eased out of his pain by such a wonderful person. read more

It's weird to write this as our cat sustained injuries from a dog attack just yesterday. After speaking with everyone at the emergency Vet, it was clear that he was unlikely to make much of a recovery. I called Journey's End and left a voicemail on a Saturday morning. I didn't expect much, given that it was such short notice and on a weekend, but Dr. Scotti returned my call in about 20 minutes. We had an unusual situation, in that the Vet at the emergency center told us that our cat probably would not live very long without supplemental oxygen. Dr. Scotti was amazing in scheduling us in at the beginning of her day and maintaining excellent contact via text regarding her arrival. That allowed us to minimize the amount of time our animal spent away from extra support and maximize the time we could take him home to live out his last moments where he belonged. Dr. Scotti was so amazing in her professionalism and her compassion. Having been through this, I honestly feel like every pet deserves the chance to die at home and Journey's End is just such an excellent way to make this possible. Thank you so much Dr. Scotti. My 18 year old Malty-Poo had been suffering and declining for the last six months. Nobody wants to make a rash decision on euthanization, at least not after 18 years of loyalty! I had been referred to another Vet, but decided to do some homework. After thorough consideration, I decided to go with Dr. Michelle Scotti. When it became reality that it was time, I was so distraught that I could not even make the call. I found her email on the website and emailed her to advise her of my situation and my dog's health problems. She responded fairly quickly and said that I didn't have to talk at all if I didn't want and we could set everything up by email. That is what we did. We scheduled the appointment for a Monday evening. Dr. Scotti was AMAZING...Very soft spoken, reassuring that this was the right thing, and everything was done in my time and my terms.
