I first connected with Loving Kindness to line up the inevitable for my first doggie Jelly. However, knowing the time wasn't quite right for that, with their guidance and excellent vet care, Jelly had more and better quality of life with me. Dr Dahlgren provided excellent care and was available when the going got tough, whether by text or visit and you know things always seem to happen after hours - and having Dr Dahlgren available to advise versus not knowing if a cold show up at some ER was warranted. Along with our primary vet at Betty Baugh's I am confident both Jelly and Boone got amazing care. Emma was visiting monthly and was always able to find the meds Boone needed at the mg best so I didn't have to cut pills etc and when you get a few meds going, it is very very helpful. Gail gave wonderful care with massages and Brandi was gentle and kind on the phone. Dr Dahlgren spent a complete Sunday reassuring me of how to get thru the day, from upping some anti nausea meds to a diet change. I sent pics of things I am sure she has seen before but who wants that diarrhea pic. I just love her and them. I am forever grateful.

Dr. Garmin sat on the floor to play with my doggo to make him comfy with her. I also wanted to mention cause I saw some not great reviews regarding pricing. They told me they would charge me $25 for his senior well visit and the stitch removal was going to be complimentary over the phone. When I went to get charged they were going to charge me for both the visit and the removal but I brought up the phone conversation and they honored it without even checking with the staff who I spoke to. I really appreciated that. I thought that was an amazing price for both services and I appreciated how they handled the miscommunication. Great customer service!

When I called the woman who answers the phone in the office - the same one I told at the start of the year to remove me from contact, she blamed it on the boarding care side of the business. But it WASN'T, because the voicemail that I received was from the office for a follow up checkup - where he'd never been once in his life. They also emailed the same with the title of "we can't wait to see XXX again". I can't tell you what sort of grief this has caused me and no one apologized to me when I called to ask AGAIN for them not to contact me - not going back there. If they contact me again for my deceased beloved pet, I'm filing a complaint - not kidding about this.

Their first visit was for Shrimp & Grits final kitten visit aka their last round of shots plus a little treatment for a nasty ear infection Shrimp was fighting. I believe this visit end up costing around ~$150. I was really pleased with how thoughtful and attentive both the vet and the assistant were with my many questions as a new kitten mom. The second visit was for a minor health issue with Shrimp. The vet gave me very thorough information and treatment for her. I believe this visit cost around ~$200, including urinalysis and other tests. Our most recent visit was for grooming for Grits. I've never had a long haired animal before and I was so thankful for the time Debbie took to explain how I could best maintain his coat and comfort! This visit, with a first time grooming discount, was $35. The receptionists and assistants are always incredibly kind & seem to really love animals. I'll happily be continuing to go to BSHV for my veterinary needs!

I've been bringing my dog to broad street vet since I got…read morehim, so 4 years. Never had any complaints until recently when my dog was improperly diagnosed. I ended up having to bring him elsewhere in order to get the proper medication for his allergic reaction. The two vets are very kind people. I had a positive experience with my dog's back injury lately. Pricing is definitely through the roof here, however. I think you can find the same care somewhere else for much cheaper. But, Broad St Vet is not a terrible option.

You can tell they truly pay attention to each animal as an individual--they were caring, attentive, and thoughtful about each cat's specific needs. They also did an amazing job working with each cat's personality to ensure a smooth experience and to prevent unnecessary stress. Because of how they managed things, I feel confident our cats will have a better boarding experience in the future. We're very grateful for the great care we received and highly recommend Swift Creek Animal Hospital.

My husband and I have taken our dogs to this vet for 15 years, but never again. Our dog began…read morehaving seizures for the first time and had 4 seizures in the evening and overnight. We called an emergency vet and they said they would need to see what was happening to properly diagnose her, so they advised waiting and taking a video if she has another episode (which is a separate issue with another facility). Rather than risk a 30 minute drive to a questionable emergency vet, we figured Swift Creek would help. We were in the parking lot waiting when they opened at 8am. My husband explained the situation, and my dog clearly had seizures (we did take a video at that point), but they told us to go to urgent care. Even when told that she was now having seizures 3-4 hours apart and waiting another 3 hours for urgent care to open would allow time for another seizure, they still said they would not see her. They have been this dog's vet for all 5 years of her life and have seen all our other dogs over the course of 15 years, yet they turned us away when our dog really needed help. Fortunately, we found another vet that was open and willing to see her. They gave her a sedative and seizure medication. They did nothing that Swift Creek didn't have the ability to do, other than show compassion. Swift Creek might be fine when your pet is well, but don't count on them to help when you really need them.

They were incredible helping me through what ended up being the last month of my dogs life. To go through this with such wonderful staff, made some very difficult days easier to go through.
