I wanted to write this review for Michael and Joy Haab (Tarbell Realtors, Menifee CA) because I recently used them for selling my existing home and buying my new home. I learned about Joy and Michael back in 2007 when I was trying to sell my home. Their signs were popping up all over the neighborhood, and many of them later had the "sold" plaque added to them. I decided to try and sell my home with them, and had almost sold it, until the buyer co-signed for a friend on something during the escrow process (Something you should never do). About that time the market collapsed, and we kept our home until we could break even. Fast forward six years, and we used them to sell our home in September. Both Michael and Joy are the mark to which all Realtors should be measured. I was asking for top dollar for my home, and despite my high asking price, Joy and Michael sold it in an astonishingly fast time. Furthermore, Joy and Michael provided expert advice when we were tempted to accept offers that they knew were too low. This saved us tens of thousands of dollars. We had a particularly difficult buyer, and Joy and Michael helped us through the strange requests and very difficult timeline imposed by the buyer. Just today we signed on our new house, again using Joy and Michael as our agents. This is my first time buying a non-new house, so despite being a previous homeowner, the entire buying process was foreign to me. Despite now being much further from their office, Joy and Michael were more than willing to accommodate any showing requests we had. We ended up making several offers, and entered into a multiple-bid situation on our favorite home. With the excellent advice from Joy and Michael we not only got the sales contract, but we did so with an offer that was still $15,000 lower than asking. When Joy and Michael show you homes, they do a lot more than just walk you through, they offer real advice on the condition of the home, things to look out for, how you might arrange furniture, as well as neighborhood comps, so you can tell right away if it is a good deal. With both the buying and selling process, Joy and Michael treated us as friends -- no, more like family -- and always took the time to explain things to us in terms we could understand. They were helpful in many more facets than a Realtor might normally be. This is just one example -- I was second-guessing my Lender, and wanted to check out other loan programs, but simply didn't have the time with work, they reached out to several lenders for us to see if there were other lenders that could accommodate our difficult requirements. I will conclude my review with this. A lot of people can rate something well, but the truth is, do they visit the place or use the service again? This applies so much more to something so time consuming, expensive, and life changing as buying or selling a home. Both Joy and Michael have worked so hard, treated my family so well, and saved us so much money, it is without a doubt that I can give them a perfect score. My neighbors were so impressed with their services, that they too listed their home with them. I consider myself blessed to discover them in 2007, and they certainly have a client for life. read more

We used Michael to help my elderly parents find a home in Menifee, and time was of the essence! Wow, such a great agent and person. Truly goes above and beyond. Very responsive, genuinely wanted to find the right home for my parents, was patient, didn't try to sell us what my parents didn't want, and has or finds answers to questions very quickly. We traveled from OC (where I live) to Menifee many days to look at homes, sometimes spontaneously, and Michael was able to meet us every time with a genuine smile. He was a true pro, flowing with the control-freak, Zillow addict that I am. He showed us the homes he thought would be possibilities as well as every home I asked about, unless it had one of my mom's deal-breakers (he'd let me know of things that didn't show on Zillow). He also tag-teamed his wife Joy when I spontaneously wanted to double book his schedule. Joy is a breath of fresh air! She was pleasant, easy-going, flowed through the house she showed us, and talked about its different qualities. Also, like Michael, not pushy at all. When my parents finally made a choice, they got a great deal on a home in a lovely 55+ community. And Michael even helped us with things, even after the whole transaction ended! What?!
