This is where its happening!!!! I have been exercising at this place for several months on & off. They have expanded their classes and studio. The studio is ALWAYS clean, well-ventilated and high vibe! All the staff members are knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. Some of them are absolutely fun, supportive yet they bring out the best of you during work outs; my favorite is Jennifer for Pilates and Ksenia for Ashtanga-Vinyasa. They both are punctual, precise in giving instructions during class; sweet and gentle addressing each student at their yoga-level during class. After a misunderstanding with my payments, the admins were polite, patient and professional answering my inquiries and solving the financial issue. They also offer free workshops, sound meditation and social events. Make sure you try the KavaColada at their cafe, specially after a great work-out. read more

I have been hitting that reset button every Tuesday night at Joyas Yin Yoga and Sound Bath class. It is such a wonderful class set at the McGrails winery in Livermore at SUNSET even!! Deanna has the most soothing voice and I just love the way she explains each posture and health benefits of yin for our bodies and minds. The sound bath experience is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Really, really good! Relax in Yin (Genevieve is my absolute favorite) or Vinyasa, sweat it out in Hot Pilates or cycle to your hearts content. Personalized attention from each instructor in every type of class. They actually asked me about my fitness experience and expectations. At the beginning of every class I hear the instructor ask participants about any injuries and offers modifications for just about every move. Plenty of parking, lots of classes and tiimes and really good vibe. Plus there's a cute little coffee shop they share an entrance with to grab a smoothie, tea or coffee on the way out. I have been practicing bikram yoga on and off for the past 5 years, and have done so at several studios. This studio ranks in the top for cleanliness and number of clas. There are plenty of classes (though a little crowded). The facilities are clean, the instructors are nice, they occasionally have fruit or drinks out after class, and the cold towels are the best thing in the world. The only con about this studio would have to be the condition of the floors. They are starting to warp, there are dents in some places, and the boards are starting to separate creating cracks. While this is not a huge issue, I have occasionally placed my mat on top of them and been surprised when I go to do a move and the floor is not even beneath me. read more

This is a great place for 26 pose hot yoga (no, I'm not saying the name of the DB who claims to have 'invented' the practice). The teachers and staff are great, the studios are nice (mainly referring to Pleasanton and Livermore, Dublin is a bit cramped and needs showers). I like Joya's expansion into other kinds of yoga, as well as the coffee shop in the Livermore location. I wish they were on board with Covid safety protocols (like checking vaccine status), but I guess you can't have everything. In any event, I am delighted to use Joyayoga! read more

Love this as an alternative for going to the gym! So many different options for classes that will push you very hard but also clear your mind and leave your body refreshed. My favorite class - cycle core combo, taught by David. He is my favorite teacher here, he encourages and makes sure each one of his students are doing the workouts correctly. I cannot say enough great things about this studio! Joya offers unique, challenging and exciting classes. My personal favorites include Inferno Hot Pilates, Barre Fury and Aerial Yoga/Barre. In addition to their workout classes, they also offer workshops such as Kundalini Yoga and Meditations. The studio itself is incredibly clean and the staff is always helpful. Each instructor offers something different in the class. Bonus - at the end of the heated classes, the staff passes out chilled towels with refreshing essential oils. I have been to several yoga studios, I have taken several different types of yoga, this is the best studio in the bay area. The owners are actively involved in trying to expand the business to offer new classes, The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it is very clean. No gross carpeted room, nice bamboo floors that are mopped between every class. I was so happy to discover Joya Yoga & Cycle in Livermore. This studio provides a wide variety of yoga and fitness classes that help me meet my fitness goals. I'm a doctor of chiropractic and an advanced yoga practitioner, and I know the importance of maintaining good health. I had been looking for a studio that can expand my experience into other types of yoga and fitness programs. I want to share a few of the many reasons why I am recommending Joya Yoga & Cycle. It means a lot to me that Joya Yoga & Cycle is family-owned and operated, not part of a large franchise. The owners, Deanna and Roger, are very nice people, and they put a lot of time and care into making the studio a friendly place to come. If I have questions, they take time to listen and respond to my needs. They care about the members who come here and help us to feel comfortable. Another plus is that they host community events that support local groups. Deanna is a Bikram-certified instructor who knows both the art and philosophy of yoga. She has gathered a good variety of teachers together to provide classes in Bikram, traditional yoga, and many different fitness programs. The studio offers Bikram, Ashtanga vinyasa, yoga classes with heat and non-heated, Cycling, PowerFly, KettleBell, Pilates, Barre, and Aerial yoga. The wide variety of teachers give the members an opportunity to find one that is a good fit, from beginners to advanced. The studio is open from early morning to late evening, with class lengths that vary from 60 to 90 minutes. I have been able to participate in many of these classes. Teachers in this studio are all professional and friendly. I recommend each one of the classes. The studio is very convenient, with plenty of parking in a big lot. It has a coffee shop that provides a variety of coffee, tea and other healthy beverages. The well-maintained studio has three spaces, with polished wood floors and wide windows that fill the room with natural light. I appreciate the online reservation app that this studio uses to keep the class sizes reasonable. I can cancel or modify a reservation if my schedule requires it. The system makes check-in smooth, and it takes no time at all. I highly recommend Joya Yoga & Cycle to anyone who wants to improve their health and fitness. I tried out this gym when I was in Livermore earlier this month for two weeks and I really liked their kettle bell/ and spin classes. The power fly class was a really interesting class- but not with my bad knee- I need the ground under my leg! I was really hoping the extreme Pilates would be a good pilates class- in the heated room- but although it was a pretty good fitness class - it wasn't a pilates class. I have been to different pilates classes- floor/ reformer/ chair/ etc. So I have to say I was disappointed with their pilates- I did try two different ones while I was there- to see if it was instructor related. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately- I didn't realize I need to bring a mat for every class- do I ended up paying $3 extra a few times. You also must rent the cycling shoes for the spin class. ( By the way- I loved the use of weights with the spin cycle!) All in all a good experience- and a good deal for the intro monthly package. I've been doing Bikram for at least 8yrs. I've been to A LOT of studios. This one is by far my fav. It's very clean, students/ owners/instructors are all very friendly. The room maintains the heat perfectly. THEY OFFER MORE THAN BIKRAM :-D I love they're inferno hot Pilates and their Yin yoga, they have a couple of other options that I haven't even tried yet. At the evening classes, often they hand out a cold hand towel with a calming aromatherapy scent during the final savasanna, as well as provide an orange slice after class. :) love it! read more

There are a few awesome instructors here. The kind that make you want to slap them for the burn but you are thanking them when beach season comes. Ali, the best EVER. Then there are the other ones. Isabel is the most abrasive human being I have ever met. From the moment I met her she straight up bullied me. I came in one morning after having to leave my ex with my kids and hiding exc. I said I needed my phone in case my kids needed me but I would keep it on silent. She decided to wait until class started then start with a five minute speech on how i wasn't listening to the rules because I thought what I wanted and my kids were more important then my practice. I had another incident where she called me out and said "I'm divorced too. How about you put some effort into your practice and not so much into life" i tolled up my mat. She then shrugged and said oh well not everyone wants to be healthy" The owner I met once maybe twice in a year. I was charged for individual classes by Jennifer when I checked in and she was done rolling her eyes at me. Ali thanks for keeping it real, the good beats, and the abs. Gonna miss you! read more

Great new spot offering all kinds of yoga, Pilates and spin classes. Pros: - can do single classes, class packages or monthly. Can use classes at all locations (Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon... tho only Livermore has cycle) - clean, cute studio. Has a coffee shop inside - good variety of classes - can use myzone heart rate monitor during spin class; nice to use same technology as club sport, and made it easy to switch studios. Cons: - the front desk isn't super welcoming and dont feel love as a welcoming community (teachers help make up for it) - for 20-25$ a class, no little towels r offered to help wipe sweat during spin or hot yoga. You have to remember your own, which I didn't. When I asked an employee if they had a little towel she said no, yet was rolling some up for something and wouldn't let me borrow one. - no water cooler to fill up your water bottle. There is a sink, but no cold or filtered water. Water is for sale. Overall good spot, and I bought a package to return. Few little tweaks and this place will get 5 stars from me. read more

Binky and I purchased Groupons for this location a few months back (such a good deal!!). Bikram Yoga Livermore is absolutely, 100%, the CLEANEST yoga studio either of us have ever been to. The facilities are absolutely immaculate -- everything from the actual yoga studio to the locker room/showers/bathrooms. There is a nice display of flowers, yoga clothes for sale, and snacks/juice for after the yoga session available in the foyer. The girls at the front desk were LOVELY and KIND -- they joked around with us, helped us fill our water bottles, helped us rent towels/mats, and directed us to the lockers. We had some VERY familiar yoga instructors (*hello Bikram Yoga Pleasanton*) and the instruction is ALWAYS peaceful, patient, and helpful. During our first week, we both received phone calls from our instructor asking us how our practice was going (customer service goes ABOVE AND BEYOND). All participants in attendance seemed to take the practice very seriously -- no unnecessary movement/noise. Moreover, there is a wide range of participants in each class -- some are beginners while others are advanced (no judgement from either end of the spectrum!). The workout is *tough* but Binky and I always felt better after sweating it out for an hour and a half (classes are longer than other facilities I've been to). This yoga studio is one of the best around and my favorite! The studio is clean, all the staff members are extremely friendly and polite. Among the instructors, the favorites are Jennifer and kathy. They are natural at motivating people for a great workout. What separates this studio from others is at the end of each class they hand out an essential oil infused cold wet towel which completes the rejuvenating yoga experience. I was driving to Danville to go to yoga and decided I should finally find a studio here in Livermore. I actually drove around to a few studios and checked them all out. JOYA was my favorite based on facility amenities and staff. Everyone is really friendly, helpful and welcoming. They just expanded their studio so they now offer more classes and times which is great. I just signed up for a monthly membership and i couldn't be happier. They have such a variety of classes that is keeps my workouts very interesting, which I need or else I get bored. Some classes are packed, but I always get a spot (whether I'm early or late). At the end of your practice, they bring around chilled and scented towels, which is incredible in my opinion. I always leave feeling calm and refreshed. I enjoy the hot Pilates classes, the workout varies quite a bit per instructor though. I've been to 4 outdoor cycle classes since Covid. The one thing that bothers me and the reason I won't take my 13 year old to Joya, is that there is very vulgar/ sexual/political lyrics in the music during class. In hot Pilates, as well as cycle, I've heard "f*ck" "ni**er" as well as anti police lyrics. The June 13, 2020, 8 am cycle class music was extremely offensive. I do enjoy the workouts, but the vulgarity is distracting, I don't want to hear that when I'm trying to exercise. If it was one or two classes that would be one thing, but it seems to be consistent w most instructors. read more

I just returned from a wonderful Posture Clinic at Bikram Livermore. The studio is gorgeous, the owners very friendly and the students are nice too! We had a 3 hour intensive class, in depth instruction and demonstration including any and all questions from students, including participation. It was great. I struggle with balance postures even after years of practice. It was great to find this class. I decided to stay for the regular class that was starting soon after and Deanna, owner and teacher, was very generous when I asked for a towel and hair tie that I needed. I love this yoga studio! I'd be a regular here if I lived closer. I will return whenever possible because of my great experience today. Thanks Livermore Bikram. Keep it up. read more

This place is truly amazing. The teachers are incredible and know you by name; the owner is so kind; the business is organized and clearly dedicated to keeping everyone who attends happy and healthy; it's reasonably priced; the studio is very clean and modern; the class offerings and times are extremely convenient; everyone there is absolutely committed to helping you improve, grow, and achieve whatever goals you set for yourself. I started attending about a month and a half ago initially just for the experience. Since that time my insomnia has improved significantly, I am back down to pre-baby weight, and my migraines (for which I had to medicate almost every day) have drastically decreased -- all side effects that I didn't anticipate. Bikram Yoga is so much more than just getting flexible and this studio helped me realize that. read more

This facility is clean and the studio has a heated laminated floor. Unlike some other Bikram Studios that have carpet, this one does not. Be thankful, because in a 104 degree room, were everyone is sweating buckets, they just mop after each class, so you don't have to endure any unpleasant odors distracting you from your poses. If I was to rate the classes I'd give the tradition Bikram class three stars. It is 90 minutes long with 26 postures in heat. I have taken this class a few times, but it's not for me. It's always the same 26 postures, which gets boring, quick. The last two times, I took the class with a female instructor, who was extremely rude to some newbies in the class. They were talking and they didn't hear her requesting no one talk during the session. The instructor then said, "Are you deaf?" Way to use your inner zen, lady! Luckily, the owners have added other classes, including my favorite, Inferno Hot Pilates. Inferno Hot Pilates, it is high intensity interval training, using Pilates concepts. It's in a heated room as well. Let me tell you, this class is no joke!! It is challenging and most are eight sets long, with 20 second on and 10 second off between each set, much like the Tabata concept. You work your glutes, abs, biceps, shoulder and chest, using your own body (no equipment). Tori, the instructor, is amazing and so motivating. I like that each class is a little bit different, so you will not get bored and you will get challenged in each class. I wish they would offer more of this class in the evenings, or early morning, 5 am, so working peeps like myself can go. If I was to rate this class, the state's would go off the charts. They have other classes too, like Deep Flow yoga, Yin yoga and in two weeks they will have a meditation class. Some of these classes are not in a heated room. I have not taken these, yet, but hopefully soon. By the way, they have a small locker room with two bathroom stalls and three showers. It's super clean. For newbies, check Groupon for deals to this facility. I got one, but didn't realize it was for new members, the owner, Deanna, credited it towards my monthly fee. Solid Bikram Yoga studio, I'm very glad I bought the Groupon! It seems like it has recently been remodeled, has a decent sized bathroom/changing room with plenty of storage, and has a large studio space with nice floors, but they are a bit hard. Every teacher I have taken a class from is great and easy to understand so far. I was pleased to see that they have work/study available as I'm a poor student with limited funds. The website is accessible and up to date, and there is a great selection of classes, though I wish there weren't as many "other" classes as I'm not fully acclamated enough to the temperature to venture outside of Bikram and therefore feel like I'm sort of missing out due to my limited availability. Overall 5 star experience though. read more

I quickly became a member and enjoy Inferno Hot PILATES, cycle, cycle/strength, and even hot yoga. The instructors are all different in their own way, and they are all great! New member here!!! Going on my third month and my day and confidence aren't the same if I don't pay a visit in the morning before work. Love this place for several reasons.... First- ALWAYS greeted with a smile by staff! Very welcoming by all. Whether 5:30 a.m. or 7:00 p.m., staff and others around make you feel at home. Second- I was given an unlimited month for a small fee to try all classes before committing to a membership (very reasonable fee even for a membership considering all that JOYA offers.) Third- I come from out of town and find it so refreshing I can "freshen up" and hit the showers before work. This was a huge part of me joining JOYA! Last and most important- I've had the honor of taking classes from VANESSA, NICOLE A, CHRISTINA O, and NICOLE P....all I can say is, holy s@?!, as a former college athlete, these women should be Division 1 Athletic Trainers! The best of the best and kick ass on all levels. They encourage, hold you accountable, push you to the max, modify all workouts, and give off the best energy to push you through your workout! Hands down, favorite place for a tough workout and I'll be a member for as long as the doors stay open. read more

The space features men's and women's separate changing facilities complete with showers and cubbies to safely store your belongings. I have never done bikram yoga before so it took me about 15 classes before I started to really fall in love with it. Love it here, just don't care for the set up in the main lobby. It's a bit off and I know you work with what you have but layout could be slightly changed to benefit your business, sales with purchases and the bathroom entrance is a bit uncomfortable..... but it's all good bcuz in the big picture of why you are there will check off your boxes in the best way possible!
