He'd "fix" it -- but only if I paid more. Why should I trust them to fix it when they didn't build it right to begin with? It's clear they know their jewelry won't last -- that's why they push you to pay extra for their coverage plan. If their quality was decent, they wouldn't need to nickel-and-dime customers to cover basic defects.
