I'd return A note on parking: The only other car in the large lot (grocery store lot?) I was parked in got towed as I was walking back to my car. IT'S A DIVE, IN A GOOD WAY This is a typical neighborhood bar. If you are not from the area and expect a red carpet, this place is not for you. The bartender will likely not greet you and give you a list of "specials". For those that come often, they will get the most attention. Even though it was my first time there, I know how dive bars work. I was easily able to work into the conversation and request some custom drinks. Overall it is a good time and before long I had the bartender delivering drinks to my station. Just be friendly, instead of expecting things, and you will enjoy this place. read more

I was born and raised in spring valley . so ive been here once before it was a good time played some pool good price on beer . But last Saturday i had one of the worst bar experiences of my life , probably the worst. SO i had some time to kill so i decided to go here . I really had to use the bathroom so when i entered , i saw a very tall woman or trans gendered individual with dark hair and large fake you know whats. no hello or welcome greeting .so i was on my way to the bathroom , which was step number one for me at that point. i was almost to the bathroom when that "bartender" says " what are you doing?" . NOT the greeting i was looking for . I kindly told her i was goin to use the bathroom then order a drink, on my tippy toes at this point. the bartender says " what do you want to drink?' -"what do you have on special?" bartender - " idk what do you want ?" " i would like a torpedo " IPA by sierra nevada . the bartender then looks at a text message , looks back up at me "We dont have that beer you just said " me- "what beer did i say? barperson-" umm la vida loca or something " me-"im just gonna leave" I just found this person, man , woman , transgender whoever doesnt matter TO BE EXTREMELY RUDE !!!!! so i simply walked out . even the local patrons were like WTF. I find it sad that on a SAT night this bar only had 7 ppl in it . And the customer service of this individual probably has a direct reflection on the amount of business. I cant say i will NEVER go here again . But if i walk in and see that person behind the bar i'll simply walk out and go to shooters or mikes ( thats where i went after i left btw). If you never been to this bar you have to stop in! The bartenders here really know how to put a smile on someone's face. Jen is a sweetheart and is really good with communicating with her customers! Whatever you need you will have! Angie knows how to take her job and have fun with it all! She's very sweet and outgoing and always checks in with her customers to make sure they are doing good. (This goes with all the bartenders). Ally you could never hate that lady! She's always laughing and smiling! This place is really like a home like place! Most the girls in here hook up on drinks for the price. But this girl tonight just charged me 6.50 per shot in this small "THICK" walled glass. I can pay 3.75 at the liquor store for a shot of the same drink and get way more. Make sure u Don't go on Thursday night. Wait for the Asian ,or white lady. I was a regular there for a number of years until I moved. I liked the small town, local neighborhood bar feel of the joint. A very diverse, friendly crowd of regulars and passers by. Great prices and service. No, it's not a Gas-lamp District high dollar entertainment complex, it is what it is. A great local neighborhood bar in Spring Valley to go for reasonably priced drinks and have a good time. Gotta say, I use to be a regular. I use to go alot at one point, but eventually I got down to going about maybe once a week if even that. Got tired of the drunk bartender who always wants to be in someone's face talking shit to all kinds of people for no reason other then she's a drunk. now i just found out that one of the owners (Jeanette) decided to 86 me from the bar without any real validation expect the fact she don't like me. Are we in high school? Do i care? No!!! But i do gotta say, it truly shows lack of professional that has over taken this bar. Besides having bartenders working through their shifts drunk n coked out, you have them over pouring beyond what's normal, over serving to the point where people are drunk and start fighting and handing out free drinks like it's nothing. I should know all this because I was a regular here once. They feel they can do as they please at this bar because after all the owner is a drunk herself. A classless woman who beats on her man in front of others and has on more then one occasion started shit with people for no real reason but out of pure drunkenness. She's know to also get on top of the bar n be half naked in front of costumers. Eeww. Your not in your 20s let alone that body of yours isnt all that. Remember your 50. Have some class shit get some self respect too. Seriously, who runs a business like that? I can say I no longer recommend this place at all and Iam not the only one who has chosen to stay away either. Let alone the people I use to take over there with me too, will not be going or recommending this place either anymore. This bar is just a couple of blocks from me so I come down every couple of months. It's not a "dive bar" in some charming, ironic way that's so trendy right now, it's an actual dive bar. It's a little seedy, but it's great because you can come as you are. I feel super comfortable there and nobody throws shade. The bartender is great. I went there on an online date and we were both kind of nervous, tearing up our coasters and making little piles of shredded cardboard on the bar. She came over and instead of being mean about the mess we were making, she made some jokes with us, helped us break the ice, and brought extra coasters for us to tear so we wouldn't be nervous anymore. We had a really good time and we'll probably end up going there a bunch more. read more
