Best dive bar in East County that I know of!And the best Bloody Mary! Yes you won't find a fatter, loaded one around. I had a place close to home, Mr. G's, but it's long gone now. This place is so cool I'd almost want to live close by! Because then I could walk home. Like all the bartenders, and barmaids. Great attitudes and no attitude if that makes sense. Live bands, no cover practically every weekend. It is a small place in a strip mall with a nail shop, taco shop, and I think a pawn shop. During football season they have all the games on and, of course those awesome bloodys and mimosas too. Can't understand why the place is totally dead at times. Let's put it this way, it is the type of place you don't want to leave once you're settled in. People won't hassle you That's what I meant by living close. I have been to this place ONE time in my life. I was waiting for my nail appointment across the street and thought I would have a cocktail. Little, did I know, there was a celebration of life that pretty much, closed down the entire bar. Not one person, knew me or did they kick me out, or questioned why I was there. I was blessed with a balloon to release as well in memory of their friend . The bartender was the sweetest girl ever, and that is what I do for a living, so I'm not quite sure, why everyone is talking trash on this place or any human that works there. I came here with some friends to watch the football game last Sunday. I wasn't sure what to expect by the looks of the outside, but upon entering, it was pretty lively inside. The bartender greeting me nicely and served me immediately. Thank you! I went outside and walked around to see what other parts of the bar there were. I was surprised to see that it was fairly large. There was a DJ playing and a Raiders group inside. I also saw 49er fans, Chargers fans, Panthers fans, and more; it was a nice mix of people. There was also a nice mix of ethnicities there. There's a white bartender short and old who were arguing over personal matters when i walked in. I waited over 10 min for a drink. To break the ice, I asked how was her day and said she look very nice today and she said "your fucking stupid". While my drink was being prepared they continued there argument. Other people waited for their drinks, and I said to them something personal was happening. There's was a black lady with locks who refused service shortly after because I didn't tip her. When I asked her that it was not a mandatory practice she said plus she didn't appreciate me telling other customers that she was arguing with her co-worker behind the bar. Once she refused service and I spoke up and said it wasn't personal. She refused service twice and said if I didn't leave, she'd call the cops. That's when I decided to leave. read more

For the majority of the time I've been to mine co I usually enjoy my time there but after not being there for a while I expected to have the same experience, unfortunately I didn't due to the rude bartender that was serving that night. Renita who was bartending that night had bad attitude, barely said one word to me and my friend other than if apple pay was an option as payment. Was served one beer that whole night and when another friend came and decided to buy us a beer she told him she couldn't serve us because we were "too confrontational." Mind you we haven't said one word to her the entire time we've been there and me and my friend was Speaking amongst ourselves. I asked her politely who were we being confrontational with and she just ignored me and walked away. Me being a bartender myself I understand how things can get misunderstood or out of hand when people are drinking but we didn't have no more than one beer and she still cut us off with no reasonable explanation. This makes me not want to come back if I'm going to be treated this way and for no reason at that. I've never been treated this way at any bar and its not the first time I've heard about this bartender RENITA being rude and horrible customer service. I hope the manager can fix the situation soon so shes no longer rude to anyone else read more

I decided to check this place out again (haven't gone since before Covid ) and I didn't have the best experience. the establishment itself is great and the karaoke DJ's were so fun but the bartender was the worst. She didn't smile once the entire night and she had an attitude every time I ordered a drink. Not sure what happened to the friendly fun staff they used to have. Hoping it was just a bad night. Came here to see a band from Indiana called Chin Up Kid. No cover on a Monday night for live music? Awesome. Grabbed a $3 beer from the bar (Kona Big Wave) so it was a very cheap night. We recently moved in the area and decided to take a stroll down the hill to check out the bar as we'd seen the sign driving by and as dive bar lovers, it enticed us. We dug the live music, friendly bartenders, and good servers. We have only been a handful of times (because, hiring a babysitter and all that $$$), but we would like to keep coming back when we can. We are both originally from the east coast/south and are big fans of classic, southern, and old country rock. This place has shown us that a couple times and we get our butts on the dance floor each time. Unfortunately, the nights we have...we were about the only ones. The bar has a pool table, outdoor patio that you can bring your drink in and karaoke on saturday evenings. They have great daily deals and their prices are great for nice strong drinks. The regulars are very friendly and the owner is really cool too. There's a jukebox you can control from your phone if you download the app. Overall, it's a great place to hangout.
