BEWARE: CHECK YOUR RECEIPT IF REDEEMING THEIR BIRTHDAY PROMOTION!!
I have visited Joyleaf 3 times since its grand opening. The first two visits were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere and good vibes of the employees who assisted me on the first two visits were absolutely impeccable. My third visit was on my actual birthday, and it was by far the worst experience I've honestly had at ANY dispensary. Joy Leaf emailed me a promotion for my birthday. The promotion stated: " Stop by the shop during your birthday week for a penny pre-roll or edible and 10% off your order. (Because you're worthy of so much more than just a day!)" So I was like, omg, this is amazing. I stopped in on 1/13 (my birthday) to redeem the above promotion emailed to me. I purchased four pre-rolls from the kiosk, which automatically applied my 10% off because it was linked to my account already due to it being my birthday. Once my order was ready, I approached the register and told the kind associate I also wanted the birthday penny pre-roll. She then called the manager for assistance as the kind associate had never done a birthday redemption. Fine, that's totally understandable. Mind you, it's my birthday, and my husband and I are already running late for our dinner plans, but that's not their fault, of course.. the manager comes over and literally messes with the cash register computer for 10 minutes- we thought nothing of it thinking eh maybe the systems acting funny or something. The manager finally finished bringing our bag and the penny pre-roll. The total had gone up $9 from what I was told it would cost from the kiosk. It's not about the money, but if you're telling me it's going to be one price and it jumps up to another, I'm gonna ask because wtf? So we asked the manager why this happened, and she caught the most disgusting, unprofessional, and unkind attitude and replied, "well, you are getting a pre-roll for a penny, so" ok, and I didn't ask that lady..she basically did all that on the computer to remove the 10% discount the system automatically gave me. She literally did all that and wasted our time trying to scam us from the promo that they sent out. So we told her it's 10%, and the penny pre-roll, can you please adjust... she then caught an attitude and asked me to see the email yet again it's now my second time pulling up this email for them (mind you if you're an owner shouldn't you know the promotions you are sending out to your customers?!)and adjusted it. We said thank you, and she just turned and walked away, completely dismissing us. I'm sorry, but it's not our fault you offered these incentives for a birthday. It's sickening and extremely disappointing that someone would try to get over on you on your birthday and not even have any kind of sympathy. It honestly put a damper on my entire birthday night and just didn't sit right with us. Don't try to get over on what could've been a very loyal customer. Unfortunately, that would be my last time at the joy leaf roselle location, and you can thank your manager/owner - Dharsh, for that one. read more
