Price gouging on Vape gear. They're charge DOUBLE what you can buy tanks for online or ANY REPUTABLE SHOP. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU HAVE $$ TO BURN. The owner (I think) is a lovely, beautiful lady who is very pleasant, but will charge you DOUBLE, YES 2X the price for an item: Aspire Atlantis for $63.99, found everywhere for LESS THAN HALF the extreme ripoff price they charge. When I showed her the item online, she simply said that she "can't compete with the internet", despite the shop being in a low rent semi shady area of NJ, she defends her gouging of me that day with no reason to justify it.*** She DID take off I think $5, and since I'm again addicted to nicotine, I bought the tank because I had just broke my Kanger tank. Do not go here. This place is way too expensive and doesn't have a good range of products, they sell way too many other items to be good at any one of them. ***I called her after writing this review, and she gave the same tired excuse that she sells genuine Aspire products, and that somehow, everyone else you can buy these from are selling fakes. Well, I go to way better, more reputable vape shops all over Manhattan and NJ who also sell GENUINE PRODUCTS who have rent that's 10x her rent who don't gouge their customers. If you want repeat business, don't rip people off. I really did not want to write this review. It's been weeks since my first and last visit here but the experience put such a bad taste in my mouth. My friend lives around the corner and wanted shisha for hookah that night so we left out and came here solely because it was closest and open. My initial thought and what I actually said out loud when I walked in was " Wow! This place is cute" Immediately my friend and I were asked to see ID. No pleasantries. I thought hmm okay. She explained she did not have her ID on her and asked if i did. I said I did and went into my purse as her and the associate spoke about this new law and how we both did not look 21. (She is 25 I am 23) I handed him my license and while he looked she told me what to get her. This is when things got weird. Mind you we are standing by the door of the establishment. The store associate hands me back my ID and says in a raised tone "You guys can handle that outside" Handle what sir? Her giving me cash and telling me what to purchase in your store.. i thought that was very rude of him especially the tone he spoke to us in. From the beginning it seemed like he was annoyed by us coming there in the first place. I was ready to leave entirely and not purchase anything but once we got outside and she handed me the money , Mind you since it was not my money being spent I went back in to get my friends shisha. I went over to the shisha which is right to the left when you walk in. This same guy walks up on me and asks for my ID AGAIN!!! I say " oh, I just showed it to you a minute ago" (I was not even outside that long getting my friends money) as I am going in my purse to get my ID he is arguing me down about how I need to show ID because he did not see it before and he needs to show it to the cameras . I said "yes you did I handed it to you and you looked at it and then told my friend and I to go outside. " He is close to me and I feel uncomfortable as he smokes his vape he continues to argue with me and I ask him if he is okay because at this point I feel backed into a corner and as he looks at my ID he says" oh your right I did see your ID" never apologizes for getting loud with me to the point people in the store were looking at us. AGAIN! I want to leave but it's my friends money not mine. I look at the shisha and he is standing over my right shoulder ( I'm not joking) again I feel uncomfortable and hold my tongue about how close he is. Since he decided to stand right by me I asked if they have plain mint and he says " Yeah" so I'm like " well where is it I don't see it " he replies " it's right in front of your face" NOT HELPFUL!!!! I continue to look and then ask him to point it out because I do not see it. ( WHY!! Do I have to ask you to point it out when you can see I am struggling to find it? And your standing right over my shoulder ) He continue to say " it's right there" I find it myself and just want to get out of there quick!! We walked to the back to check out, he never says a word just rings me up, takes the money. No thank you for shopping, no receipt , nothing! I honesty felt saddened by this experience. If the guy was not high I'd be surprised because his eyes were red and low but that is not an excuse to make someone feel low. I thought about the way I was spoken to and the way I felt in that store all night. I told my husband and he was livid and wanted to return to confront the guy as he knows how bad I felt. To the owner: Please get your staff proper training, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've EVER had in my life. I myself own a business that provides hookah services and was looking forward to getting my products from you as I really loved the look and the reviews I saw prior to coming. Due to how uncomfortable he made me feel, I left without looking around more as I was hoping to do business and speak with the owner as I REALLY loved the look of your shop. I know ALOT of owners of smoke shops and have a great relationship with them due to my own business. This was a poor example of your business and I hope you speak to your staff about being sober at work as I'm sure that played a role here unless he was just intentionally biased to us. To Yelpers: I really wanted to give back to the community and support local businesses but looks like I will have to stick to Montclair and Verona shops. Holy smokes definitely changed the game and is unlike any place I've been. They take their time with their customers, explain every little piece of information in detail and cater to your needs to the fullest extent. So i came in today and im from CT the guy at the counter goes looks at my ID and goes yea your not 21 so i show him on my ID where it says i jus turned 21 then he gon tell me to leave saying my ID is fake. After he says its fake he goes there no hologram or nothing looks like my fake ID. I show him the hologram and CT has a whale laser in Grailed in the ID showed him all of that and he proceeded to tell us to leave and saying it wasnt going to serve me due to a "fake ID". The place is legit they have everything you need. I do have a complaint and I dont complain a lot. The hose I got for my hookah had the wrong tips for it. The employee sold me the wrong tips which aren't inexpensive at all but it bothers me because you work there. This was a few weeks ago. I went back last night because the hose ripped and I needed a new one. First they asked me to put my rewards info in. I was never offered this the first 3 times I came in so I never got the points.
