We ended up going on a Friday night and had a total blast. Ace was our guide, and she was super fun and knowledgeable. She had an engaging way of telling us about the beer-making process, and I learned some cool stuff. Fluffy was our driver/pourer, and transported us around safely; it was so great to get a little drunk and not have to worry about transportation. I liked that the tour is built around the interests of the people on it, which means every tour is a little bit different. There were plenty of snacks on board, and I definitely appreciated the endless supply of water. The only thing I wish is that we could have had a little more time at each brewery, as it felt like we were rushing from spot to spot. One thing that's really great about this tour is that it gives a bit of a taste of lots of different kinds of beers, beginning with mild and easy ones and working up to darker or more experimental beer. I even found a few new favorites! I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves beer or who isn't so sure but is interested in trying out what Knoxville has to offer!

The tour itself was fun to see the belly of operations for each brewery and have a few samples of their swill. We enjoyed a white stout, alt beer, NEIPAs and a lager or two. I was able to snag a burger from the Abridged Truck at Xul. What I consider to be the best smashy-burger in all of Knoxville. We all had time to snag a pint at the brewery but it was a grab and go type of thing. The tour guide Ace kept us on schedule and we all enjoyed our samples and quick history and brewing lessons wrapped into the tour. Our group had a blast and the groom had to helped to the car, so mission completed!

The staff were so friendly and really made the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming. The boat and bathrooms were very clean and maintained. This was perfect for our date night, but would also be the perfect family excursion. We cannot wait to be back in Knoxville, we will definitely be doing this again! We waited until the weather got nicer and more restaurants were open after the pandemic. Pamela was kind, knowledgeable, and interspersed the history of Knoxville and various buildings/restaurants as we went on our walking tour down Gay Street and Market Square. We stopped and had tastings (appetizers/small meals) at three local restaurants, tea tasting at a local tea shop, and dessert over 3 hours. The portions were more than enough to enjoy without being uncomfortable by the end of the tour. I highly recommend Pamela and her food tour. We are locals and still learned a lot and got to try new things. Would make for a great date or fun day out with friends!

Tons of artists and artsy organizations called Knoxville home, while First Friday has been happening for 13 years, it is really getting better and better each year. You can explore galleries, studios, and artist collectives; roam through shops hosting open houses and local artist exhibits; enjoy performance art and live music in the streets and a variety of venues; drop in restaurants along the way and treat yourself to drinks and culinary pleasures. You never know what you are going to find and it's a great way to support our local Arts Community. The galleries have extended hours on First Friday nights so can pop in after work and enjoy what you might miss out on during the week. Check the website to help plan your visit since each gallery and the artists rotate out each month in a lot of these local galleries.

What we did hear was the ramblings of a high college student - literally whatever popped into her head to share. Some of it was slightly historic to Knoxville but most of it was about her friends in town, dead birds she's seen, or constantly asking if anyone ELSE had any stories to share. We reached out to the company for a refund and received a rude reply and a denial of any kind of refund. Save your money and re-watch Sixth Sense if you want a spooky evening. The only thing scary here was how awful the tour was.

I contacted Alex a little bit last minute, as we had previously planned on going to a different, more self navigable trail. Had heard a lot of neat things about KUW, and had Alex's Knoxville Outdoor Tours recommended by the local MTB organization, Appalachian Mountain Bike Club(AMBC). Even though I kinda got him last minute, Alex was very accommodating and got my ride set up. After riding KUW with Alex, I can tell you, I'm SO glad I procured the services of a guide to ride it. It would take riding there on a regular basis for a while (as Alex clearly has) to get to know all the rights and lefts and in between's!! Plus, Alex knows what's what as far as downhill, cross country, mix of both, and can plan your ride accordingly. Do you want to go 8 miles or 18 miles? Alex will set you up. He's awesome about warning about hazards, twists/turns, trees (above and below), etc., that you might come up on suddenly. He stops as needed. He had snacks and extra water if needed. Alex had a ton of recommendations of where to get after ride food and beverages, and also sights to see in Knoxville area. We went to SoKno Taco Cantina (right up the street from the trailhead we rode from), and I had a beer specially brewed for the AMBC group, called Best Medicine. I also had the burrito platter as suggested by Alex after he kicked my butt for 15 miles!! Lol!! And last, but most importantly, Alex was just a blast and a true pleasure to ride with. I had so much fun, and can NOT say enough good things about this experience!! If you are visiting the area, and want to ride Knoxville Urban Wilderness, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't use KNOT guide services. I promise you, it is worth EVERY penny!! We were on a family vacation where we landed at the Knoxville airport and needed to stay overnight…read more It wasn't a destination town for us but I decided since we'd never been to Tennessee before to get a tour before we headed east. I looked online and found KISS Caboose was free and goes based on tips, which I thought was fantastic since we had two children under 10, that wouldn't appreciate the tour as much as my husband and I would. I called to make a reservation and Gina picked up even though she was in the middle of a busy event. I told her the day and times that we would be available and she hooked us up with one of her best tour guides, Jennifer. I cannot express how excellent the tour was. I guess the best way to put it is I want to live in Knoxville now! It was an hour long in a adorable little bus. She was able to show us historical sites and buildings, and some of the local must go to shops and murals. She even pulled over and took pictures of our family in front of the murals! Coming from the west coast her accent was delightful and her knowledge was astounding. I was never interested in history but she left me with historical knowledge that I think I will never forget. She met us at the Art Museum which is free and also AWESOME with a great gift shop which she also recommended. If you are in a very small party of 2 to 5 people max, then please check them out, even if you're a local, you may learn a few things.
