I was in town visiting family for my birthday, and as I hadn't seen my brother in a few years, he suggested we go on a beer tour together. What a great idea! We ended up going on a Friday night and had a total blast. Ace was our guide, and she was super fun and knowledgeable. She had an engaging way of telling us about the beer-making process, and I learned some cool stuff. Fluffy was our driver/pourer, and transported us around safely; it was so great to get a little drunk and not have to worry about transportation. I liked that the tour is built around the interests of the people on it, which means every tour is a little bit different. There were plenty of snacks on board, and I definitely appreciated the endless supply of water. The only thing I wish is that we could have had a little more time at each brewery, as it felt like we were rushing from spot to spot. One thing that's really great about this tour is that it gives a bit of a taste of lots of different kinds of beers, beginning with mild and easy ones and working up to darker or more experimental beer. I even found a few new favorites! I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves beer or who isn't so sure but is interested in trying out what Knoxville has to offer! read more

**Covid-19 Review** Knox Brew Tours is rad when the world is not crazy, but man they have really stepped up and pivoting their business to helping other local businesses in Knoxville. They have created a schedule with local breweries in town to deliver food and beer. I have used Knox Brew Tours to have beer delivered directly from Abridged and it was seamless. I ordered directly from Abridged and within a couple of hours Knox Brew Tours bus pulled up in front of my house with my beer. Seriously, how cool is that!? There is a small delivery fee and when you order over the phone with the breweries you have the option to tip the staff. It's a great way to support our local community and drink delicious beer. I've gotten pretty used to delivery beer, and really hope it's something that sticks around long after the pandemic is over! read more

All aboard!! Dont pass up knox brew tours, date night, guys or gals night out, day drinking what ever, when ever jump on this bus. Our tour was guided by Gordita and Butter bean and they showed up and showed out. We choose a saturday afternoon run but I'll be back for of them. We learned a little about beer a little about the breweries and the folks story that brought the beer to life. I cant say enough about these tours. I think the concept is awesome, the staff is top notch and itll make you love knoxville more than you already do. We met at the new Knox Brew Hub space - done so well, a dramatic improvement from the Casual Pint design - got squared away with our passes, and then shuttled to the start of our three-brewery walking tour. Geezers, Gypsy Circus (Barrelhouse), and Xul. The KBT team is so friendly, so knowledgeable, and so connected to the Knoxville brewery scene, that you feel like a VIP: backstage pass, inside knowledge, beer dignitaries! Really impressed that they survived the pandemic and were part of holding the community together through it. It feels good to support local businesses who invest their passion into the community. The whole tour exceeded my expectations. I got on board the brew bus for an adventure through Knoxville and discovered some of the best craft beer in town! The meeting point was at Market Square where I met our designated driver Brian and tour guide Zack. Both were friendly and knowledgeable about craft beer. Our group boarded the bus. The interior layout was impressive. Seats were facing each other which encouraged everyone to be social. LED lights decked out the walls. A sound system played music relevant to our route. Throughout the ride, Zack not only discussed craft beer but also interesting facts about Knoxville. For an out-of-towner like myself, I definitely appreciated his passion for the city and the beer brewed in it. We attended a private tour for a friend's birthday, and it was absolutely amazing. I was born and raised in the Knoxville area and have remained here the majority of my adult life and had no idea this many cool breweries existed. We learned a lot of the process of brewing beer and some general history about each place we visited. Super fascinating! The guides (Taco and Chalupa aka Zack and Megan) were completely wonderful, and we had an amazing time. I can't wait to return to some of the breweries we visited today, and I want to take another tour soon to learn about the others in town! You visit 4 breweries and try 3 4oz beers at each. It's enough to enjoy without getting drunk, unless that's your goal! Haha! You can take food with you on the bus, which I recommend. The price is super reasonable for all that you get. Taco and Queso were the greatest tour guides! So friendly, funny and full of interesting facts! During the trip we played some games to help pass the time and it was not only fun, but educational! These guys obviously have a great rapport with the local breweries and helped us all realize that we may actually be into styles we normally might not order. They were so attentive to everyones style preferences and chose some really interesting beers! The water and snacks on the bus were also a nice touch! I had the opportunity to take the inaugural Knox Brew Tour, and I must say it was the best 3 hours I've spent in a long time. Having grown up in the Knoxville area and having been to and sampled beers from the three breweries on the tour (Saw Works, Blackhorse, and Smoky Mountain), I was curious to see what the tour could add. I was not disappointed! Our tour left from the Casual Pint of Downtown near Market Square. I was immediately intrigued as our driver turned the bus east from downtown instead of west toward our first stop. I quickly learned this was done in order to take us past several notable Knoxville sights, including the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and Neyland Stadium. Our guide, Zack, provided fun facts about Knoxville all along the way. The tour ended up including several of these small detours, taking us down "Thunder Road" and through the Old City. This added an unexpected and informative aspect of general Knoxville history to the tour. As would be expected with such small production breweries, the tours weren't so much tours as they were standing in a brew room and sampling beers while our guide provided information about each brewery. This made it better in my opinion, as we got to sample the breweries offerings as we were learning about them versus having to wait until the end of a tour as is common with tours of larger breweries. The sample pours were generous (almost too generous, if that's possible?), and offered an opportunity to sample styles from each brewery that I normally wouldn't select. Each brewery had a unique method of accomplishing the same end result (beer!), and Blackhorse and Saw Works are currently undergoing expansion, so learning about the past, present, and future operations of each brewery was more than worth the lack of an extensive walking tour. The only downside to this tour is the 4:00 departure time. This can be difficult to make for most people on Thursday and Friday, but this is a necessity considering two of the breweries toured are also operating restaurants. Overall, this tour is well worth the ticket price. I will definitely be taking another tour in the future. I can't wait until more breweries are up and running in the Knoxville area that can be added to the itinerary. read more

So I am not a big beer person (more into wine) but we were visiting family and my sister-in-law arranged this tour for us, and some family and friends. Zack really knows his stuff and it was a very fun atmosphere for everyone on board. We hit 3 breweries and sampled A LOT of beer. It's a good thing I don't like the "hoppy" ones too much or I might have been stumbling around a bit, the samples were pretty generous, especially if you were drinking all 12 of them at 4 ounces (which quite a few of the younger man on the buss did!) It was really interesting learning about how beer is really made, especially for someone who is not really into beer especially. Zack and his bus driver (Everett, who was going by Jimmy Dean this trip - take the tour you'll understand) are fun, entertaining and on top of it. It was a lot of fun for 3 hours and a nice way to see Knoxville and meet some cool people. I am sure for someone who is really into craft beer it would make an awesome gift. For someone really not into beer like me, it's still really fun and a great way to learn some stuff and get a little buzz on! read more

We had a party of about 12. The tour started with a pick up at Casual pint then we went to 4 different brewery's. Balter Beerworks, Alliance, Crafty Bastard and Autumn Days. The tour was awesome! Sloppy Joe and Chalupa were very knowledgeable about all the brewery's and they were entertaining. We were provided with snacks and water in between stops. The only thing that stunk was that the air conditioning on the bus isn't that great unless your sitting right in front of it but we cracked some windows and got a breeze going. This was a great tour. As a first time visitor to Knoxville, not only did it offer a fun, interesting and educational jaunt through the city's craft breweries, I also learned quite a bit about Knoxville itself. We both love craft beer and when We met Zack and Megan who share the art and passion as well we were both really excited to start this tour.
