I have always had a great time with Knox Brew Tours. I have learned something new each time on the tour and have had great brews. Thank you Ace and team..

Great times with SBRET dogs and Knox Brew Tours. Cheers!

My wife and I were able to join Knox Brew at ours today. We have been on multiple brew tours and both Ace and Cal made it the most educational and fun brewery tours that we have been on. Cheers to all!

All aboard!! Dont pass up knox brew tours, date night, guys or gals night out, day drinking what ever, when ever jump on this bus. Our tour was guided by Gordita and Butter bean and they showed up and showed out. We choose a saturday afternoon run but I'll be back for of them. We learned a little about beer a little about the breweries and the folks story that brought the beer to life. I cant say enough about these tours. I think the concept is awesome, the staff is top notch and itll make you love knoxville more than you already do. This isnt the beer talking either but I did catch a buzz, made some friends and had a great Saturday out with the wife. Cheers to you Knox Brew Tours, you're top notch.

Ace was amazing! The tour was incredibly well organized with a mix of Knoxville history and a thorough explanation of brewing. The sightseeing is beautiful!

Had a great tour led by Ace and driver Guac! Came from Delaware to visit friends and it became a guys tour!

We went for a bachelorette party. The tour guides were fun and we really learned a lot. The beer was delicious. We did the package with food at the end and it was the best plate of nachos I've ever had. Definitely do this if you visit Knoxville.

Getting ready to board the brew bus!

The whole tour exceeded my expectations. I got on board the brew bus for an adventure through Knoxville and discovered some of the best craft beer in town! The meeting point was at Market Square where I met our designated driver Brian and tour guide Zack. Both were friendly and knowledgeable about craft beer. Our group boarded the bus. The interior layout was impressive. Seats were facing each other which encouraged everyone to be social. LED lights decked out the walls. A sound system played music relevant to our route. Throughout the ride, Zack not only discussed craft beer but also interesting facts about Knoxville. For an out-of-towner like myself, I definitely appreciated his passion for the city and the beer brewed in it. First stop was Blackhorse Pub & Brewery. http://www.yelp.com/biz/blackhorse-pub-and-brewery-knoxville Here, Zack gave us 4 generous samples (~5oz each) of their beer. - Barnstormer Irish Red Ale - McGee's Pale - Vanilla Cream Ale (my favorite) - Scottish Ale The bartender also let us sample the Black IPA, one of their high gravity beers. All the beers were great. We ended up buying a couple bombers to take home. Next stop was Smoky Mountain Brewery @ Calhoun's. http://www.yelp.com/biz/calhouns-knoxville-3 Another 4 generous samples were given to us as Zack showed us around and told us the history and background of this brewpub. - Smoky Mountain Brewery Helles - Appalachian Pale Ale - 1850 India Ale - Brown Trout Stout Our group ended up buying 4 six-packs of their beers because the beer served there was delicious. Unfortunately, the bottled beer we tried from them so far has been flat. I'd advise having a growler filled up instead if you want to bring any home. Last stop was Saw Works Brewing Company. http://www.yelp.com/biz/sawworks-brewing-company-knoxville Each brewery we visited had unique charm but this one was my favorite. The place has an industrial feel and they have a culture of experimenting and brewing outside the box. Here, we got another 4 samples from Zack. - Pale Ale - Rocky Hop IPA - Double Chocolate Porter - Say Yes Saison I ended up getting a pint of the Say Yes Saison at the end of the tour. After over a dozen different beers, I was feeling really good! We boarded the brew bus, discussed each brewery as well as Knoxville, and went back to Market Square. I was sad our 3-hour brew tour had ended but happy we were dropped off within walking distance to many other pubs.

A very nice woman helped and booked our cruise. It was really nice. We did the dinner cruise. At 5:15 they started to let us on the boat. Byron took our drink order and let us know about the souvenir cup, if we wanted to buy a drink and keep the cup. Before the next group came in he answered a few questions I had and was very friendly. 6pm the cruise started. Tables were told they could go to the buffet. Food was good. I didn't like their honey mustard dressing, I asked Byron if there was any other dressing. He brought me ranch in a little cup. He was on top of refilling our drinks and asking if we needed anything. I asked him so many different questions and he answered everything and shared some things to try while in Tennessee. We had our dinner and enjoyed the view. After the meal we went on the deck and enjoyed everything. At the end I thank Byron and the rest of the crew. I would do this again for sure.

Excellent service and a decent buffet lunch yet the cruise itself was disappointing. Sure, we saw…read moresome water views of the city and bridges, yet we only traveled from the docks near Volunteer Landing to Crescent Bend on the Tennessee River, a distance of approximately 3 miles. About 10 years ago we took the same boat ride and traveled farther down the River. Along the route, a man narrated our short journey pointing out buildings and markers along the way--however, with diners carrying on conversations, background music playing, dishes clanking and the engines roaring, it was difficult to hear even half of what he said. Again, the buffet lunch tasted fine, nothing outstanding, yet the chicken appeared to be seasoned with pepper and maybe a bit of salt. Perhaps a Chicken Piccata with slices of lemon in a creamy sauce or chicken-broth-seasoned sauce would have been more creative. The stewed cinnamon-sugar apples with pastry, served warm in the buffet might have been offered at the end of the food line as a dessert and in a separate dish. Instead, it appeared after the buttery biscuits and before the cold pasta salad with cucumbers and tomatoes and the hot carrots and corn. Overall, perhaps the paddle wheeler is an excellent experience for a first-time rider and a wonderful party venue for special events like weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. Having sailed twice before, this $45 per person ride (there were 4 of us) needed a more clearly-heard narration, a longer ride, and perhaps more creative food. Kudos to the servers, though! Attentive and friendly!

I looked online and found KISS Caboose was free and goes based on tips, which I thought was fantastic since we had two children under 10, that wouldn't appreciate the tour as much as my husband and I would. I called to make a reservation and Gina picked up even though she was in the middle of a busy event. I told her the day and times that we would be available and she hooked us up with one of her best tour guides, Jennifer. I cannot express how excellent the tour was. I guess the best way to put it is I want to live in Knoxville now! It was an hour long in a adorable little bus. She was able to show us historical sites and buildings, and some of the local must go to shops and murals. She even pulled over and took pictures of our family in front of the murals! Coming from the west coast her accent was delightful and her knowledge was astounding. I was never interested in history but she left me with historical knowledge that I think I will never forget. She met us at the Art Museum which is free and also AWESOME with a great gift shop which she also recommended. If you are in a very small party of 2 to 5 people max, then please check them out, even if you're a local, you may learn a few things.

You need to know something about me: I don't eff with bears. I stay away from them so they'll stay…read moreaway from me. This means I don't go camping (in general, but especially in bear country), I don't go on hikes where there are known bears, and I don't visit parks where a bear might stumble into my picnic and try to get my food. I don't visit the bear section of a zoo. I even moved to the place where I live partially because there are zero reported bears in the state. (Not really, but that was a bonus that I learned after I moved to Indiana.) So, of course I'd find myself in a situation where I was obligated to go on an open Jeep tour through Smoky Mountains National Park, a part of the country that is swarming with bears. And of course it would be in the spring, right when the bears are waking up from hibernation and at their hungriest. But Pink Jeep Tours was great. Apparently, there is a possibility of seeing a bear at some point, because they're just everywhere. My tour guide, who had been giving tours for many years, told me that he had seen several dozen bears last week on his tours. OK! I didn't like that we got out of the Jeep a few times to walk around a couple of scenic spots, because bears, but I never ended up seeing any, and I'm sure you, a normal person who doesn't have an irrational fear of bears, would appreciate getting out of the Jeep and wandering around. One of the stops was at the official Smoky Mountain National Park area, and we got a good 30 to 45 minutes to just explore. We also drove through Gatlinburg a bit, where we were told that the bears will just mosey down the streets sometimes. (Lord help us all.) The Jeep itself is very comfortable, and there are spots underneath the seats to put your bags or water bottles. At the end of the tour, we went off-roading, which was an extremely bumpy ride, but there are handles above the seats to hold onto. The tour was about two hours, which was a little long for me, but you really get to see the forest and other parts of this area of Tennessee. Plus, the tour guide was funny and informative, and he was available to take pictures of us, so we didn't have to do selfies.
